    CRANK

I saw this movie in the theaters, watched the dvd, and they cut out a bunch of scenes. Some of which I thought were great. I thought it was a decent movie.
  2. I got this http://www.monstercable.com/power/productPagePower.asp?pin=3415&LastPage=Signature%20Power off Ebay for a steal. I like it, every month or so i'll get a surge of high voltage and it will warn me. I do see a picture difference though cable. ie. I had some really bad snow on a couple low end channels that the cable company couldnt clear up with whatever they do. This baby eliminated all snow and fuzz. It also eliminated all the "hum" i was hearing before. Plus it is pretty comforting to know that all my electronic goodies are protected and properly grounded.
  3. Jay, I agree with you that Guitar Hero is a great game, but Guitar Hero II is coming out for the 360 sometime this year. Another reason to get an xbox360!.
  4. I went to Toledo, OH Bestbuy, Target and Circuit City on Airport road. They all had PS3's. About 11 60gigs at BB, 6 60gigs at CC then 3 60's at Target. Im happy with my xbox and Gears of War []
  5. The Digital Signal: "DVI-D" The digital signal type that runs through a DVI cable is sometimes referred to as DVI-D. This format is completely incompatible with any analog signal format, and therefore cannot be connected to anything that doesn't also handle DVI-D or HDMI. If the socket on your device is a DVI-D socket (that is, if it lacks the four pin sockets for an analog signal which surround the broad flat "ground" pin; see photo at right) then this port will only handle DVI-D signals. It cannot be connected to any analog source, such as component video, composite video, VGA, or the like. It can, however, be connected to an HDMI device by using a DVI/HDMI cable. So much for calling them. [] that sucks, at least it looks good on my monitor, then when I upgrade my HDTV ill make sure it does have either a VGA connection or DVI-I instead of just a DVI-D connection. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  6. Well, my buddy got a psyclone vga cable for christmas was using it on his computer monitor, then decided to move his xbox onto the big screen downstairs. He offered me his new vga cable so I took it. I am now coming into the problem of connecting this to my HDTV. I have a female DVI-D dual link input on my HDTV. Finding an adapter to go from female VGA to male DVI-D is my problem. I have a bunch of female VGA to male DVI-I dual links laying around, but I am having a rough time finding a DVI-D even online. Is it possible to just pull out the C1- C4 pins on my adapter to make it work? Something tells me that since VGA is analog if i pull out the C1-C4 pins I wont get any signal. "The long flat pin on a DVI-I connector is longer than the same pin on a DVI-D connector, so it is not possible to connect a male DVI-I to a female DVI-D by removing the 4 analog pins." Well that solves my problem... Any ideas? I am using wikipedia as a reference by the way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI-D
  7. I actually have a 3600 MKII new in the box that I havent opened yet, I got a great deal on an HTPS7000SS just days after I purchased the 3600, they are definately not worth it at full price.
  8. The day of the release of the PS3, I checked Ebay and saw ~35,000 not including the presales that went before. That is about 10% of the total US launch if I am not mistaken. I think it is funny how the presales on Ebay were going for more than 3K now you can get a premium for about 800$.
  9. Hopefully, you did not refund the shipping. He has to learn somewhere in there.
  10. It is normal when I am running a movie. But in the game, the rear sounds are soo intense, I have to turn down the gain for the rears, where I don't have to do that when watching a movie. Setting this is not really a problem because the DD 5.1 has like 6 presets or something, but i think it is kind of strange why i have to do this.
  11. I currently have this connected using an optical cable to my DD 5.1. My problem is that whenever I play a game, it seems like the rear sound is immensly louder than my fronts. If I watch a dvd through digital coax using these same settings, the sound sounds normal. I have not tried using the digital optical cable from my DVD player to see if it sounds "normal," so that could be a start for me. Has anyone else experienced this problem of having the rear channels louder than the front ones?
  12. A lower price on newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889101080 I was looking at this one too, it seems to be nice with 6ms response time, but this particular tv has far less contrast ratio when compared to the Samsung, 1200:1 vs 3000:1. If you are looking for one of these two tv's click here. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductCompare.asp?Category=264&N=2102640411+4022+110560308+110640490+110670543&Submit=ENE&Nty=1&Subcategory=411&CompareItemList=N82E16889102045%2CN82E16889101080
  13. On sale, a shy above 1000$ with shipping included Samsung 32" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16889102045 the only problem I see is that it only has 1 component input, but it does have 2 HDMI inputs and digital optical out. Very nice tv, 8ms response time, good for gaming.
  14. According to the size of the TV you are wanting, I believe that you are mainly looking for an LCD tv. I've seen LCD Tv's between 26" to 32", priced from 600$ to around 1800$. Nearly all of these LCD's was HDTV ready and had HDMI connections. I couldn't find any TVs with 1080p, because I don't think a TV this small could support the native 1920x1080 resolution required for 1080p. The highest resolution I found was 1366x768. Give me a price range you are looking inbetween and Ill try to find you the best TV for your money.
  15. I currently have the Motorola HS 850 and a Kensington USB Bluetooth Dongle. http://motorola.digitalriver.com/DRHM/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayProductDetailsPage&SiteID=motostor&Locale=en_US&Env=BASE&productID=36061500 http://us.kensington.com/html/9403.html I was wondering if anyone has tried this before, to connect the USB dongle into one of the usb ports on the xbox 360 and connected to the BT headset for online chat like in halo 2, etc. Any Ideas on if this might work?
  16. In my PC, noise from the videocard is minimal when compared to my Raptors, and I have a 7900GTX []

    Gears of War

My girlfriend just picked up Gears of War for me for Christmas, can't wait to try it out!

    Gears of War

Thats cool, I haven't had a chance to hook my 360 up to the net yet, I'll have to check that out. I want them to make a DVI-I cable for the 360. That would be sweet.
  19. I don't understand why you are going to run HDMI to a projector. HDMI is the same thing as DVI, but it also has sound built in. If I am understanding this right, you will be running HDMI for video from a source such as a DVD player to the projector, then also sound from the DVD player to a receiver. If HDMI is what runs out from the DVD player, get a HDMI male to DVI-I female adapter. Then run DVI from there to the projector. http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bin/orders6.cgi?action=Showitem&id=ID441647&partno=01762&search=DVI&rsite=pccables.com&rcode= It seems to me that DVI cables are far less expensive than HDMI, which makes it seem to be a good alternative without suffering at all from a quality standpoint.

    Gears of War

    I thought the 360 was 480p, 720p and 1080i only , not 1080p.

    Gears of War

I heard it already surpassed Halo 2 for the most played game on Xbox live. Very impressing. I just picked up a 360, im gonna have to pick up this game as well.
  22. I have a Logitech Harmony 880, would you be able to program this universal remote to work with those DVD programs on an HTPC?
