A cow magnet is for "hardware disease"; or when a cow eats (enter your metal here, like ground up wire, or other metal common to farms). The cow eats it, it pokes into one (reticulum) of her stomachs, and (hopefully) the magnet you give orally pulls it away from where it is poking. Not a common ailment, but not really uncommon either considering the amount of metal on farms, in fields. Of course, aluminum is not affected. Benton

This is a lot of videos. Maybe 100; so I think I'll try the bulk tape eraser. I tried a cow magnet and it did nothing. Thanks. Benton

Sorry for the double post, I didn't realize I had posted it here. I searched and came back "0" so posted. Benton

I was gonna garage sale them. Benton

Does anybody know how to erase videotapes without recording nothing on them. I've heard magnets, but where would I get one? Any comments welcome. Thanks, Benton

Does anybody know how to erase, (rapidly), videocasettes? Other than running them thru the vcr on nothing? I've heard magnets, but do you need to run them thru something like a rewinder while you're doing it? thanks Benton

How Old Were You When The Klipsch Horns Got Your Ear?
notneB replied to JJJeffries's topic in General Klipsch Info
1979, age 18. I was doing landscape work for a client who had them in Little Rock, and I said "what are those?". He floored me with those khorns. Also a friend had some Heresy's later. I had to have some horns. Benton -
can't really reply specifically, because i haven't listened to the acoustimass, but the quintets i bought for my wife; plus the 12" sub sound very good if yur looking for small.

I agree, good movie but poor redoing. Still.... Benton

yeah, one son (15) likes Kansas, and the other (13) likes Rush, the elder is hearing impaired, the younger is hyper. Benton

Just cranked it up on 5 la scalas and Edgar Winter sounded awesome, "They Only Go Out At Night".

I've always liked the "WKRP in Cincinatti" (sp?) theme. Benton

Interesting dilemma. Given a round room, would it be better to fix points at 12,2,4,6,8,10 o'clock; or 12,1,3,5,6,7,9,11 o'clock? And would you recess (sp?) the horns and false corners so the face is flush with the wall? Benton

sorry for posting here, didn't realize that there was a music forum, but i also listened to her on a "Peter Malick Group" cd, and she was good then too. Not sure of the year.

I lived in "Red Stick" for four years, and if you can walk, you may not be doing fat Tuesday right! Benton

Just finished listening to her "Feels like Home" cd and loved it. I can't exactly "classify" her music except by individual songs, but after the first album (sorry, c.d.) I couldn't wait to hear the next one. Very entertaining. Benton

My wife had size constraints, so we bought the quintets (hardwood floor, partially enclosed room), but bought a 12" sub instead of the common 10 inch. It sounds very nice with music, even with a cheap receiver. BTW I also have 5 la scalas downstairs, so I guess I am biased as well. Benton

notneB= Benton bass ackwards, vetman- I'm a dairy veterinarian in Wisconsin.

Thanks for the trouble shooting info, but my "amp" is actually a Technics SA-AX610 receiver, and I'll have to get out my old Marantz stereo receiver and put it with an amp/preamp for the HT. After cutting my arm off to get the speakers (early birthday/Christmas present ) I think I'll deal with the hiss for a while since the wife has to have a Christmas present too (or does she?) Benton
-
I'll try to upload some pics, got the center channel on now, but it sounds "boxey", too much bass? I',m still tweaking, and still have the hiss, but am toeing, tweaking, and playing. The initial response post klf-30 was "airy, or full" comparisonwise. Now that I have 5/5 (5.1 with 2 subs) is "boxey" with the center, could still be the amp. Benton

sorry I haven't posted yet, but I was sequestered downstairs auditioning 4/5 of Mike's (no mine) La Scala's. Still don't have the center channel up yet (weight issues with rptv), but they do sound great. And all who say they bring out the weak points in a system are absolutely right, I had an audible (but not objectionable) hiss when I was running my KLF-30's, but now I think I might have to buy a new ( or old) amp. Anyway, the road trip is over and The Lion King audition is over. I think I made the right choice. Benton

Thanks for the input guys, but as I am in central Wisconsin and cannot see/audition any of them, I think I'll pass.

I am thinking about buying from this guy the k-horns and belles, any feedback from Houston or anywhere else about it? Also, I run a Technichs SA-A610 5x100 channel, I know I don't need the power, but will I hurt them? http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?spkrfull&1069092611

no joy on used k-horns, anyone else? Benton
