  1. mdxsierra...ive listened to the rsw 12 at the local goodguys but i have no real experience with it...but when im comparing the rsw 15 and the pb2 plus...they are two different monsters...we all know that the pb2+ are good for movies...and some would say its also musical....i prefer the rsw 15s for my dvd audio & sacd listening....and for movies i turn them all on....thats just me...between two choices...i would pick the pb2+ if you give us some more information about your setup, room size and type of media youre into...im sure everyone here can give you some suggestions.... yromj....i will post pics once the pb2 ultra gets here.....
  2. i agree with frzninvt....i remember that the quality sucked back then compared to boston acoustics and rockford fosgates....
  3. i have three subs in the room (pretty soon four)....my wife still thinks i have only one sub...if it was for the rsw15 she bought me for my birthday...she wouldnt even know what a sub is....shes a very smart woman....she just have other important things to worry about...like what color to paint her nails and what restaurant to eat dinner at..... in your case 007...i would probably throw an acoustical transparent cloth over the sub and put a vase or fake plant on top of it....
  4. yeah...its alittle pricey...roundtable meatlovers thin crust is my favorite while surfing the klipschs powered subwoofer forum (i had to put that in since were in the powered subwoofers forum and all)...
  5. i bought the monster hts 5100, 1100, 200 for their warranty.....wasnt looking any improvement in audio or video....
  6. im talking about the average to high end subs....from $1000 and above.....
  7. ive never owned any sub for more than 3 years....now that ive invested in a few...i was just wondering if subs can last as long as the typical loudspeakers (ie: klipschorns, belles, vintage jbl's, etc.)...or do we threat them as electronics where we upgrade every few years....ive read books on high end audio/home theater...but they never mention how one can keep a sub for that long... just curious...
  8. pepperoni pizza...getting ready to watch "man on fire"....
  9. when i had the pb2+..i had it parallel to the wall...but you probably heard this time after time..."no two environments are the same...so youll have to test out both ways and find what sounds best for you.."...i suggest, since the pb2 ultra is so heavy, make a heavy duty board with casters on the bottom and have a friend rotate the ultra around while you listen.....just a thought...maybe someone else may have a better suggestion...
  10. hello...i dont think you can hook up speaker wires to the rsw15 because its not an option on this sub...it only has rca inputs and out....and yes is a very nice sub for music and movies...
  11. like the new look of the horns...yeah..like the thx ultra....too expensive....i cant believe the reference 7s are not going to be the flagship anymore...
  12. sold...placed order on ultra....thanks guys..
  13. my high school student id ended with 4235.....got a pager in my junior year...ended with 4235....since it was such a conincidence...i picked xxx-4235 for my cell phone..... my birthday is the same as three of my friends (still friends) and my old architecture mentor...
  14. in a calibrated system...you will not run into these kind of problems....a 9mm gunshot is from the mids and up...not the lfe...same with steps...unlike the the 50 cal machine guns (pearl harbor)...youll hear and feel the thump....
  15. i agree with you nicholtl.....its overkill but the explosions are pretty nice.....
  16. ear...i cant even come close to your level of bass.... my wife doesnt like the theater stuff (shes okay just watching movies on 27" tv) but shes very understanding for letting me have 3 subs in the room...4 is pushing it...i just want to get rid of the pb2+ and swap it with the ultra without her knowing...so life goes on as usual...
  17. I'm thinking about selling my pb2+ thats about 2 months old....cause i want to upgrade to the pb2 ultra...i would love to have both but we have our first baby on the way so i dont want to do any crazy spending....im asking $1000 obo....and pick up only (sacramento)....its in perfect condition and not pushed hard at all because it shares the room with the reference 7s and two rsw15s....thanks..
  18. contact klipsch....i think they charge around $50 plus shipping..... since one of my grills broke during my 30 day store warranty...it was free of charge from the dealer...
  19. an ionic breeze air filter...
