Does anyone know when the new Denon receivers will be release? (Simular to the AVR-4802R). I want to upgrade but I am waiting for the new Denon's that have Dolby Prologic IIx.
You have the same speaker setup as I do. I love the Yammie but I still think they are harsh on the high frequencies. Have you done anything with the GEQ to tame those bad boys down?
Thanks scrambler400. I checked it out and there was a lot of good information. I've been demoing this receiver for about a month and wanted to get the opinion of others. I have Klipsch Klf-30's and the matchup was very bright. I've toned down the high frequencies quit a bit and it sounds much better. I am giving it the Pepsi Challenge with a Pioneer Elite VSX-55Txi. Sounds nice but it doesn't have onscreen info once you get out of the setup menus. I would have expected much more out of the Elite line than that. My current receiver is a Yamaha DSP-A1 and the matchup between it and my Klf-30's was a perfect fit. The quest is on for a great 7.1 receiver. Anyone have a recommendation on a $2000 unit with great sound and onscreen info for the hard of seeing. Anyway, thanks for the thread.
Has anyone had a chance to listen to this Receiver? It's new, has a lot of great features and power at 120W/ch. And...it retails for $999. Anyone, please jump in if you have an opinion.
I just picked up a Pioneer VSX-55TXi. I can see the setup On-screen display but once I get out of setup, I don't get any on-screen displays. Doesn't this receiver have an on-screen display for volume settings, movie mode, etc? Please help!!! Ken.
I bought a pair 5 yrs ago... Then bought another pair for rear channel speakers bought 3 yrs ago. They make a great soundfield in 5.1. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Go for the KLF-C7 center channel. I have 2 of those as well and a pair of KSP-S6's. Sometimes you just get a little carried away.
Thanks for your reply. I've seen your responses to other questions so your opinion is valued. I just wanted to make sure I understood you correctly about the placement in the corner. Place the sub in the corner with the active woofer facing the back wall. Then pull it out about 1 meter from the back wall. Did I understand you correctly? The room I am in is closed on the front and the sides with a french door entering into the room from the rear. So from what you are saying, I shouldn't really have a dead spot...?
I have a RSW-15 sub. I am having a hard time placing it so it hits those low notes. I have it in a corner at a slight angle. The rear firing woofer is about 8 inches from the back wall and it is about 4 inches off the side wall. Any ideas or thoughts? Ken.
It looks like I am in the right place to get some good advice. I have a RSW-15 sub. I am having a hard time placing it so it hits those low notes. I have it in a corner at a slight angle. Frzninvt,
You should be able to send your unit directly to Denon for repair. I have had to do that with a Sony receiver and a Yamaha as well. Don't waste you time with the Authorized service center. They abviously don't care but Denon should. Good..
