  1. Nice set-up! I have a Mitsubishi and rack similiar to yours. I just shifted my center speaker over, so that it equally spaced between the mains. Looked strange at first but I got use to it. Something else to consider.
  2. What's next, only Aragon products can be discussed?
  3. I'm going to miss the political threads, found them rather entertaining.
  4. Are there any architectual features that can be built into the walls or ceiling of a HT to help improve acoustics and cut down on the amount of room treatment that will be needed? Something like stepped or angled walls? Thanks

    Door Placement

Thanks for the suggestions. After some education from this forum and some reading I've decided to go ahead and wall off the HT. I didn't realize that the environemt had such a large impact on sound reproduction and how important it was to start off with acoustically friendly dimensions. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the entrance at the rear wall. What would be the next best location? Thanks
  6. What is the best location for the entrance door into a dedicated HT that's roughly 16' x 24', with a 10' ceiling? Where will it cause the least amount of acoustical problems, side-wall towards the rear? Thanks

    Books

Besides Master Handbook of Acoustics, are there any other books that can be recommended that cover room treatment for HT? Specifically, one that focuses on how-to solutions. Thanks

    Database Software

Technical level is very low. I'm looking for something straight-foward, fairly easy to use and learn. I have XP and will be using the software for personal, inventory list for homeowner's insurance, dvd collection, financial records, ect... Instead of having to purchase several software programs, one for dvd collection, one for home inventory, ect... I'd like to find something that I can customize. Thanks

    Database Software

Doesn't have anything to do with Klipsch but thought I'd ask anyway. Does anyone have experience with database software? I'm looking at FileMaker Pro 7, any opinions? Are there any other brands to consider? Thanks

    Amp for RB-75

The set-up will be used primarily for movies. I have one PB2-Plus now, will get the second after I move. I'm getting impatient with the all the delays and want to go ahead and purchase some of the speakers, 2 RB-75's and RC-7. That's all I have room for at the moment. I've also been considering just using RB-75's instead of RF-7's for the front. The more I read and think about it, with dual subs and not being concerned with music reproduction, the towers shouldn't be needed. Plus, using bookshelves instead of RF-7's will save about $1000, which can be put towards an amp or amps. With a HT consisting of 6 RB-75's and RC-7, what would be the appropriate amplification? I'm going with B&K, either 125 or 200 wpc. Thanks

    Amp for RB-75

Is 125 watts sufficient for RB-75's or should a 200 wpc amp be used? Thanks
  12. Construction won't be finished for sometime and I'm getting the impression there isn't anyway to know to what extent the walls will need treatment until everything is set-up. I was hoping I'd be able to get a general idea of the costs for my particular room, see if I could work it into the budget, but I guess I'm just getting too far ahead. Thanks again for all the info and advice! I'm sure I'll have many more questions further down the road. Thanks
  13. Thanks for all the input. I'm going to do a search to see if I can find the article mentioned. What's the general rule when determining how high up the wall you treat? I'm going to have between 10' to 12' ceilings, would I need to take the panels up the entire wall? What about the bottom of the wall, at what height would I need to start treatment? Thanks for the info.
  14. The 2" thick fiberglass panels you used, are they basically the same as the Pro Panels, same size and wrapped in fabric? Or did you use panels that cover the entire wall, something like 4'x 8' sheets that take the place of sheet rock? Is using heavy, hanging fabric an option? Thanks.
  15. I have made several purchases within the past 6 months with no problems. I know some others have had problems, I think with H/K products. If you do purchase, call in your order. They do price matching and will usually come down off the prices listed on their website.
