  1. Yes Sir, San Antonio on the northeast side of town, just off I35.
  2. Looking like he is copying one to the other.
  3. If you happen to be close enough, I am having a get together at my place in San Antonio on August 26th. Noon until very late, as I have guys coming in from Dallas that are staying at my place. Lots of new toys to play with.
  4. Here is an old picture. The night light is on the lower left.
  5. Eimac 4-1000, now that is old school. I built a night light out of one.
  6. I run an Auralic Aires Mini. Can't beat it for the price. I have a 2T drive hooked to it, use the internal DAC and stream to my main system's pre. The Lightening control software runs great on my iPad Air2
  7. We are replacing Cutco and Pampered Chef knife sets.
  8. I purchased the SACD CD-T1500 back in 2012. It has been a good player. It replaced a HD CD-T100.
  9. Rose wants to buy new kitchen knives. She like the Shun Japanese knives at Williams-Sonoma. She even likes the look of Damascus steel. Anyone with thoughts on good kitchen knives?
  10. I still wouldn't want to be strung up by them.
  11. Thanks - I always try to find veneer long enough that I can use one continuous piece around the speaker. Sometimes I reverse the patter between speakers so I get a mirrored look.
  12. Wow, that is a great project. Nice to see others resurrecting vintage gear. The '40 line is one of my favorites (640,840,1040, 2040). That is one monster of a receiver and I know you will love it. For that one corner you can always hit it with a color correct putty pencil. It won't take much. Check out your local Home Depot or Lowes stain section.
  13. It's still hot. I won't be comfortable here until September.
  14. No matter how bad your day is going, at least, you're not this guy.
  15. It is a most spectacular building. He has stuff all over town. From in engineering standpoint, I was impressed with the upside down weighted string mock up he did, so he could figure out the load bearing points.
  16. So sorry to hear this. As everyone else has said, you're OK and that is what is important. PIA doesn't begin to cover what this does to your life for a while. Still, this may be an opportunity to reevaluate life and stuff or lack there of. Again, glad you're ok.
  17. You can always run down to your local auto parts store and pick up a spray bottle of clay lube. I clayed my car about a week ago. It does not take long and you will be amazed how much stuff is on your car. Just go over sections until the bar glides smoothly. Remember to fold the clay occasionally to keep cleaner clay on the paint.
  18. Yes, that is the linestage you heard hooked up to the speakers in the guest room.
  19. I like her technique. I have to use a bench vise to hold the PCB. I wonder if my wife would mind helping me out?
  20. You gotta get one of these AC units. It Rocks!
