What happened to Klipsch's RSX line? I was just looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers for my brother that wouldn't be as big and boxy as standard MDF constructed enclosures and remembered the RSX line from years ago. It would have been the perfect solution. Why were they discontinued? Anything similar still being sold?

Well I was really wondering how putting Klipsch products in movies help advertisement. Its not like people can quickly identify their products like a Cadillac from a Mercedes. I dunno but its still cool to see their products!

I just saw the movie "Be Cool" and noticed Klipsch speakers and Aragon equipment in the background of some of the scenes. I was just wondering if Klipsch actually pays to advertise their products in movies because not many people would know what it actually is. I almost didn't catch it myself! What are your thoughts?

While the trailer has me really excited, I am more looking forward to the release of the soundtrack which is supposed to be released on May 3rd and its supposed to include a 70 minute bonus DVD. I second Andronicus Dragon, but I compress all my audio with FLAC (do a google search). Its like APE but its just a matter of preference. As long as it is lossless. If you have the HD space for it then go with lossless so you won't have to rip cds multiple times for better quality. To give you a *VERY ROUGH* estimate you can probably fit 400-500 cds ripped to a lossless format onto a 160 GB hard drive. And always rip the cds using EAC (Exact Audio Copy), its the best program for doing just that. Good luck.

Well you need to use good components, Audigy 2 at least, playing high quality music (directly off cd player, FLAC/APE lossless rips). Anybody try that?

Thats how I feel about my F-3s and Pioneer 814k, bright and lacks the power and warmth required for what I listen to. I have been very very interested on getting a pair of the outlaw 200 M-monoblocks. They seem like a great way to drive my speakers with my limited budget. Have you tried doing an A/B comparison with your outlaws vs the denon driving the speakers?

Actually the jump from 1280x720 to 1920x1080 is not that big considering you're fitting all of those pixels on a 100+ inch screen. That is freaking huge so its not really hard to try to fit all of those pixels in.

Me and my whole family thought it was hysterical, especially the indian guy (HE ROX!). Ya the ending was a bit weird for most people but I would have rather it end in that manner than him getting the girl or some other thing.

I guess so. From the look of it, it doesn't look the cabinet is made out of MDF, rather it seems to be some kind of plastic. Should that be a concern?

Hey guys, I recently got a pair of F-3s and I want to get a center channel soon. Does anyone have any listening experience with the C-3? I'm hoping that a C-3 would be good enough. Specs state that the freq response goes down to 73Hz, which is not as low as a RF-35, but would I be sacrificing anything? I know center channels have a lot of content driven through them and its best not to skimp out on them. Any help would be appreciated.

http://www-personal.umich.edu/~relia/ The last pic is a line level 50Hz crossover with a 12dB per octave slope I got from parts express. I discovered that the ultra sub basslink does not have a built in crossover which is understandable. Works quite well though. Boy is that sub powerful. I got up to 108dB (with ultra sub on) on some music with some very low notes (Lacuna Coil - Cold Heritage) and gain was at about 75%, klipsch volume about 75%, I'm too scared to find out what the limits are on this sub. I feel like my room is about to tear itself apart. Much more beef to the low end now but its incredible how well the ultra sub can keep up in my room. The ultra sub extension drops after about 30Hz but the svs pulled strong down to 17Hz. What I really need to do is open up the ultra sub and disconnect the drivers and test the pb10 on its own for max spl. Then I need to calibrate as much as I can.

If you look hard enough you might be able to find an RSW-12 at around $1000. If not then you could go for an RSW-10. Or you could rather go for an SVS 16-46PC-plus for $875 or a PB12-ISD/2 for $899. Depends what you're gonna use the sub mainly for and your preference. I think an SVS would give you the best bang for the buck. Good Luck!

HAHA funny thing happened earlier today. I bought a copy of the Telarc SACD of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. The one with the warning on the back that says "Warning! The cannons of the Telarc Digital "1812" are recorded at a very high level. Lower levels are recommended for initial playback until a safe level can be determined for your equipment." Boy were they right. I played this on a regular DVD player so it only read the CD portion (need to buy universal player) and during the finale the receiver was forced into clipping displayed "OVERLOAD" on the front paneland eventually shut itself down. I had the receiver set on -20 and the cannon were quite loud. The giant leather chair I was sitting in was shaking along with the whole floor. So I guess I know the limitations now... need better amplifier if I want to play this insane recording.

Hey guys, I finally decided on a pair of the new Synergy F-3s. Best Buy was having a 20% off sale on all speakers so I decided to jump on the deal. I couldn't find them anywhere though. Half the BB stores would never pick up the phones and the other half didn't know if the inventory numbers on the computers were for on display or new in box items. Anyway... 3rd time is always the charm and I finally found a BB with a pair. $425 each reg price so the deal notched it down to $340. Not bad at all I figured. As the employee was ringing them up I saw that it showed up at 272 each. Was there another discount I didn't see? I wasn't going to mention it so I just jetted outta there. If you calculate it out 272 is 20% off the reg price... twice so thats 36% off. Mistake? I dunno I duncare. Maybe I'm smoking something but 272 each is one heck of a deal IMO. Attached a scan of the receipt. I love Klipsch! So far they are sounding great but need more break in period and now I need a sub. Family wanted to take my soon to be SVS PB10 away from me. HAHA NEVER! Yay sub shopping... Right now I'm using them with a Pioneer VSX-D814. I picked it up during DATS (day after thanksgiving sale) $299.99 and you get $100 gift card. I love bargains. It is a 6.1 100 w/chan. Not bad so far with the F3 but I have no comparison. These are 150watt RMS speakers so do you guys think they would sound better with a 120 or 150 watt/ch receiver or would I notice an improvement in quality with a more expensive and higher quality amplifier? This stuff is for my family I'm away in college right now but its a good start. Ultras work wonders in a small room. Don't even want to mention what we had in the living room earlier too embarrassing (meaning could be worse than Blo$e). I would like to go back and maybe pick up a cc and surrounds but the deal might be over which is a shame . I'll post pics of setup later.
