  1. If ya want em', the other gent changed mind, you can take off my hands u want to, or out of the basement. Fred
  2. Haven't used in many many months, using my KLF-30's instead. Reckon $500 is a fair price? Mahogany finish, mint condition, live in Maine, split shipping Give me a buzz? Fred
  3. Holy Cow, you call 82db listening? Geez. Gutsta be at least 95 or better. 100db is good. lol Fred p.s. just got a clean bill of health from my hearing test too, couldn't believe it.
  4. Well, thx folks for all the replies. Went to an audiologist, my hearing came out "A-ok" Did make someone happy I guess, sold an ATI1505/C7, Adcom GSA-700/GDD-1 for $550 i believe, can't recall, and even threw in an old Yamaha tuner for free, along with the $150 patch cord for the Adcom's. Just too much hassle to sell on e-bay. Besides, they were sitting in basement in boxes. Prefer my Carver over the ATI. Now to just get the new Anthem MCA-20 (2ch amp). Still debating whether to rid of the KLF-20's. Guess I'm sick, I almost like listening to my computer "junko" speakers over my Klipsch. Ya'll have a Great Day Fred
  5. To each's own, but I personally like the KLF30 over the RF-7, but can't find anything on the 30's on website. Were they such a bad spkr, aside from backs coming unglued???? I also have the 20's, and just sold the C7 for tidbits, pretty much gave it away, too much hassle trying to sell on ebay. Gave up on Home Theater. I find just using my AR powered partners is sufficient. Wuteva. Too lazy to look it up, but was it the max spl of the 30's, sustained that is. Thanks, Have a Great "K" Day Fred
  6. $100 you pay shipping, you take both gss-700/gdd-1, manuals, remotes, even have good batteries in em' , lol.
  7. Hi Tom, I just took the KLF-30' out the boxes, it seems like being I haven't played them in, i'd guess 2yrs, they now sound like new. Seems so strange. Uhm, I also have the KLF-20's and C-7. Decided to keep everything, then once I get back on my feet, i want to purchase the new Anthem MCA20, think that is the one. Thanks for the replies ppl Ya'll have a great "Klipsch" day Fred
  8. I think maybe I'll keep all my gear, at least what i posted hear on website that I was willing to sell or just give away. Appreciate the replies all. I was really hoping to trade my ATI1505/KLF20/C7 for the new Anthem MCA 20, but doesn't appear New England Hi-Fi wants to do a straight trade. Everything I have is in mint condition, I even use a soft cloth to turn on/off. No bare fingers touch my gear, a Big No-No, lmbo. True though. Well, again thx for those that showed interest.
  9. I get so confused with audio gear, what's good, bad... I 'spose alot of it is personal, in my mind, thought I tend to buy on looks alone, plus I sometimes figure if it costs a bit it can't be all that bad. I have an ATI 1505(mint btw, any takers, make an offer), now I see this new Anthem 2ch I want, plus I have an old Carver I like, then there is Rotel, so hard to decide, plus my wallet is now VERY limited. My question (which I may have asked once??) is: If clipping normally occurs after say 12 on volume, then why do they even make it so you can usually go as far as 5-6 o'clock. I think my Accurus goes to 5pm. Just wondering, thx Fred
  10. These two are also boxed up, for those that like to tinker, or want to pay to have fixed, they're all yours. Totally Free, just want to get rid of. Was gonna do trash, but always seems to be someone that likes to fix things. Fred
  11. For those not familiar, the GDD-1 is the digital add on. They work fine, I just want to dump them, all they are doing is sitting in a box rotting away. Gave up on Adcom, bad experience. Oh well. Make me an offer, $50 sounds good, I'll even give you an old Yamaha tuner if ya desire, still works fine. I don't do radio. Fred
  12. Anyone familiar? Currently have the ATI 1505, but have given up on 5ch sound. Am considering selling ATI, KLF20's (mahogany), and a C-7. Though where I purchased they're coming to house on the 8th to listen and decided if they will trade-up instead. Had their older the SAE A501, looked really sleek, the ATI looks, mainly due to the power button. LMBO, crazy reason to want to get rid of something. Anyhow, just hoping someone might own or be familiar with the Anthem gear. Thx, Fred
  13. Hey Greg, thx. Just sent an email to you. I live in Standish, not far from you. Never listened really to high end gear, reckon I could visit for a listen sometime? I'm using: Accurus RL11 Pre ATI 1505 Amp Rotel RCD971 CD Audio Control III EQ (only use for "minor adjustments only", pretty rare) Carver TFM 24 Amp (just in case, does have a warmer sound) Thx Again Fred
  14. Appreciate the offers, but am having a rep from New Englad Hi-Fi come and check em' out. They think it maybe my hearing. Between home/car audio I never went below 100db, usually i was peaking 1110 or so. I also just lugged my 30's 2 flights and hooked in bedrom, they acutually sounded fine We'll see. Again, thx for replies
  15. forgot a couple things i guess. Still have factory boxex, etc I've been using an ATI 1505, Accurus RL11 pre, Rotel CD, Audio Control EQ, which I've boosted frequencies, usually just tried to flatten out respones or at least bring down the big rise in the mids. Living area was all wood except carpet floor. I thought I was pretty good at detecting distortion. Guess they had enough my playing them at or near 12 on volume. I've resigned myself to my little computer speakers, that way i don't expect much. Thx for replies
  16. $400 sounds like a plan to me, i'll even give you the c7 too at no extra charge..
  17. Purchased KLF30/KLF20/C7 appx 4yrs ago, been in boxex now for almost 2ys. Love the sound, but something just isn't right with them anymore. Almost as though mid to upper bass (if there is such a thing) is now gone. Just highs and the lows. Really want the RF-7's, but can no longer afford. Had a change of career due to depression, yuck. Really don't hear any distortion coming from mid-horn. Kept wanting return for examination to New England Hi-Fi (some truly great ppl there, at least 4yrs ago) but keep getting embarrassed because of my illness and not being able to afford the RF-7, though I prefer the KLF-30. Keep thinking of selling as package, but I figure for what I'd get, may as well take em' outside and smash em', why give em' away, right, lol? Wow, please pardon, but I don't think I've yet asked a question have I? Think it might have anything to do with the crossover? Really would like to get them back on line? As for the KLF-20's/C-7 make me an offer and they are yours, gave up on surround sound. Thanks Fred
