  1. What? I think some ones trying to get their post counts up...
  2. Talk about hijacking a thread Oh, and the 12g is bigger and cheaper...
  3. When I measured the Heresys, I had it A weighted... I only use the C when doing the lower freqs.
  4. lol, I'm sorry, but I dont think your friend knows what he's talking about. You can try butchering cables if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it.
  5. Yup, according to PWK, lamp cord is the best you can use. Solder shouldnt affect the sound in any way. So this week, eh? Let us know how you like em.
  6. Hehe, yeah, and he could prolly solder. So you could leave it up to him to figure out which ones are positive and negative
  7. I've heard that Ultimate and Ciruit City both are going under. Not sure how true it is though.
  8. Oooh, my bad... http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F011%5F003%5F001%5F004&product%5Fid=274%2D287
  9. You'd have to get something like this. I'm not sure if these are solderless or not, though. If you head over to headfi.org, i think thats the site, they have all kinds of tutorials on here. JohnL9013, a member on here, made his own interconnect. I'll get a hold of him for you to see what all it took. He said it was extremely easy. He's out of town right now, though, for Christmas. He has a little cabin up in Maine.
  10. Monster Cable is the only ones who make a kit for the PM 2.1. Everything should be labled on the plug.

But if it's a Y, I'm going to end up with two headphone plugs and the PM 2.1 satellites only require one plug - right? And twisting them together might be a bad idea, right? Headphone plugs are 1/8 inch, I think...I'm sure I could get some real basic headphone plugs that don't require soldering, right? Sorry for all the questions. Heh. - Steven ---------------- You wont have to do any soldering. All you'll have to do is pull the casing off the headphone plug, put each wire where it goes, and usually its just two plate's you'll have to crimp together, and you'll be set.
  12. Yeah, lamp cord will work, but the PM 2.1 satellites use a headphone-like connector for the speakers, so you'll need to go to rat shack to get two headphone plugs. You're welome!
  13. My bad, I completely forgot... Well ****, I guess you could go to rat shack and get some 3.5mm interconnects... That still wont take soldering, usually just a small screw driver.

So this will require soldering and what not? - Steven ---------------- Nope, no soldering, but if I were you, I'd get a crimper/wire cutter, or else the wire will just slice the hell out of your fingers... All you have to do is get maybe 20' of it, ten foot for each side, and you'll be set.
  15. 12g lamp cord is just as good as any monster cable. Thats what PWK preferred anyways, 12g lamp cord. You can find it dirt cheap at Home Depot or Lowes.
  16. So what time zone are we going to play in? We have people all across the U.S., and our midnights are not all the same...
  17. I'm glad it was that easy! Problems with the 4.1's are extremely rare. I had a set a few month's ago, loved them to death!
  18. So its tomorrow when we put our number in? Thats awesome what you're doing Dean!!
  19. Sooo... I'm confused. Did they decide if its a good amp/design or not?
  20. The loudest I've been is about 117 db with the Heresy's. With the sub playing, I've maxed out my spl meter, but I was wearing hearing protection. But I've only done that once. I dont like getting loud. On a good day, I rarely get past 105 db. My normal listening levels are in the 90 db range.
  21. A pair of Heathkit W4's. My first tube amps.
