Problem fixed
A quick check on the interweb found this a common iPhone scam used to bilk idiots, nearly was me, out of $60-80 USD for a fix.
Although this happened on an iPad not iPhone the software is still Aplle iOS.

I hate to even ask this, but which site did you click on? (Please don't post the full link address)
And, don't quite understand, if it's locked solid, unresponsive, how do you play solitare?
You might want to state the model number of the ipad, and which iOS you have installed.
Hope you did a backup.
I really can't say, I was researching a Forte Model 5 amplifier, might have been audio review? Really don't know.
I have nothing on the machine that would need backup. This is only a surfing playtoy. I would have to think backl a bit but there is nothing on the machine that would be lost.

So I'm researching an amplifer (imagine that) click a site then immediately screen goes to blue and -
"Warning!! iOS crash report
Due to third party on your phone?ios has crashed.
Contact support for immediated fix"
First this is an iPad not an iPhone, the header box for this "fix" is http://funnyquote.info
I have not gone to this site for fear of infecting my iMac.
My iPad is locked solid, nothing, even after shutting off several times. But I can still play solitare.
Blue warning screen is all that shows and the screen is totally unresponsive to the touch.
Experts - any ideas - please.
Thanks

Perfect condition Budgie complete with SUT transformers built into the housing. Good for both MM/MC carts. Will ship with 2x Amperex 6dJ8 and 2x EH 6922. All connection/power/walwart included.
$475 shipped conus

My God
What did they do - roll them to you? That's terrible to see, makes one a bit sick to their stomach.
With that much damage I would press, and press hard, for UPS to poney-up for a new pair. Repair that much damage would be out of the question I'd think.
Good luck

If you can thread the cable through a 3/4in. garden hose than it is too small! Size matters - particularly in audio cable. If it appears a good sized Boa is laying across the floor you are heading in the right direction.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Anyway, I use Belden 1311a Brilliance OFC cable, their highest quality copper cable for audio.

Islander, had I been aware The Doctor was spreading Nutella for breakfast I would have been bathing in the stuff!!

Th 45 is a great sounding tube no doubt. And will certainly sound fine with the Belle/LS line BUT 2.5 watts is very limiting particularly producing tight, deep bass tones. Put some more juice to them and see what you think. Been there, done that more than once.

'Daz is tasty no doubt but not as much better as their upscale price commands. Genius marketing though - Hagen Daz - sounds and implies very Scandinavian. Nope, Brooklyn NY.

My first concert, Hendrix. I think I was 15, parents had to drive me and friends to the show. Municipal Auditorium in KC, '68 or '69 I'd guesss. Tickets were $5.

I believe the II's are favored for their smoother sounding Tractrix mid horn. I've had both although not at the same time and can't say for sure one was "better" than the other but the II was the later upgraded execution.

Seems you must need a few years on you to use/know about pressure cookers. I have and use one quite often. My mother used the venerable Mirro pressure cooker and I learned from her the technique required for proper cooking yet not blowing the damn thing apart. The older cookers could be dangerous little devils if too much pressure built and not released properly, heaven forbid you were looking down on it should the safety plug blow out the top! Yes you would have a .38 caliber sized hole in your head.
The new designs are much safer and easy to use, the toughest meats can be rendered fork tender in a fraction the time of oven cooking and flavors are infused into the meat much more so under pressure. I do believe with the right seasoning one could pressure cook an old shoe and be tender as can be!

To the OP, so with all of this wealth of information directly answering all your questions explictedly, where you headed?
As of now, undecided. The TX gulf will take us through Dallas, can visit a relative, and my wife has never been to Austin or San Antonio so we could do a bit of sight seeing. If its for beach only I am leaning to the Gulf Shores area. The drive from KC to either gulf location is darn near the same, less than a 100 mile difference.

I think of it as hobby, nothing more nothing less. I'm not trying to show up anyone as I have zero friends who have systems. My grown kids could care less, thinks my speakers are enormous (they are) and fit no decor they care to be around. That's fine too, my system is not built for them. It is for my own pleasure and interpretation how the sound has evolved over many varied components have come and gone. It's a hobby that like any other you can throw money at until the well is dry. Photography, motorcycles, boats, wood working, I consider them no different as to how much $$$ will satisfy your quest.

Drive down tonight and you can stay a couple of nights with me. The weather is mid 80's and low humidity. You can drive for 5 miles down Front Beach Road (PCB) without stopping. Everybody went back to school it seems. I'll walk out on the beach and take a few pictures for you here in a minute. The water is beautiful and the beer is cold and dem shrimps is tasty. Oh yeah, there's a guy from texas staying next door.Keith
Looks nice, where you at?
Actually about 30 minutes. When you come bring your truck to drive on beach and then haul this back with youIf you really want to get away... The Padre Island National Seashore (http://www.nps.gov/pais/index.html) and points south, is a National Park and protected wilderness area... and less than an hour from Corpus Christi.
Subliminal advertising, very clever. Saw them for sale early on but am well stocked at the moment. Great gear, had VRD's several years ago, moved on as usual.
Not sure you've been far enough down Padre. The dunes are totally spectacular and comparable to or even larger than Florida's Atlantic side dunes. Love it down there. Not so particular about the water color. If I was, I'd head back to southeast Asia off the cost of Hainan where I could see the structure of the drilling platform well over a hundred feet down. Watching the wildlife down there was truly spectacular.
Food's better in Texas too...my wife is from Tampa and the inlaws are still there so we've spent a lot of time down there. Beautiful beaches, indeed...but getting away from hoards of tourists sucks. In that regard as well as the food and people I'll settle for Galveston any day.
Wife's brother lives in Tampa, visited several times. Decent place to visit I guess but to live there - no way. Way too crowded, too much traffic, the weather/beaches don't come near offsetting that for me.

I agree on the Florida beaches but have done those, the Keyes, Sanibel/Captiva (now your talkin') and was looking for something different and within a long one day drive. Great input, guess we have some info to sort through.

What I Got Today!

After owning various Class A SS amps I've wanted to head back that direction to couple with the KHorns.
Well I found a mint (llooks like they were just pulled off the build line) pair of Forte/Threshold Model 7 pure Class A monoblocks, 75 watts/side, a Nelson Pass product design when he was associated with Threshold. All paper work, boxes, sales brochures, got it all. Have about three CD's through them and my gosh do they sound good?! Why yes, yes they do. They do the Class A/monoblock sound in spades.
