  1. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like I said, I like my Klipsch speakers alot...they're real good and loud, and I love 'em and stroke 'em, and call them George! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I almost choked on a Spree(original flavor) when I read that

I just don't work weekends In grade school, if 2 kids were disruptive in class, didn't everyone have to suffer? Didn't the teacher always say, "Life isn't fair." Sorry guys, but until the forum can be under control in other ways, the signature modifications will remain in place. If I have to scrutinize every single post that goes up (in addition to my other responsibilities here), do all of you who know how busy this forum is honestly think I can keep up with signatures, also? I wouldn't have a life outside of Klipsch. Be patient. The forum is changing, growing, becoming a better place for all. We'll note all your requests and take them into consideration for the picture-perfect future that lies ahead . ---------------- Those teachers obviously weren't trained very well, and probably needed to find a new line of work.

Damn - I'd definitely be looking at those. I already have the 7's as mains - wonder how the 5's would be as surrounds? ---------------- Yes $750 for both, buy one get one free. I heard about it, so a friend of mine (looking for RF-35s or RF-5s) drove up there and got a pair earlier this week. The sale is only in black finish though. He's gott'em sitting in his living room with nothing to hook up to them(NAD receiver's in the shop, there's a surprise.)

  5. Has anyone ever heard of applying green highlighter to the outer edge of your CD's. I guess its supposed to keep the laser from escaping the disc, therefore enhancing the sound. Some high end dealers I know swear by it. Does anyone know of any information to support this?

Take some time to visit a few stores and audition the ones you've narrowed your choice down to. For example, some people also find Nad to "uncolored" or flat or neutral. Let your ears be your guide. ---------------- I have owned a few NAD which mated exceptionally with klipsch. This is only WHEN THE EQUIPTMENT IS WORKING! They have a great sound but even greater built quality issues . Here's a good site for helpful opinions of people that have owned whatever equiptment your considering. I think it is very helpful. www.audioreview.com

  15. I started having problems(right channel cutting out) with a NAD receiver about 8 months after puchasing it. 1-I shipped it to be serviced under warranty. Shortly after getting it back I started having trouble with the right main and right rear cutting out. 2-This time it was shipped out of warranty. Shortly after the right and right rear started cutting out again. 3-Shipped out of warranty again. Shortly after (see a pattern yet??) the right rear started cutting out AGAIN, this time hooked up to a completely different system. 4-Shipped a-g-a-i-n. Now a couple years after purchase the receiver is out of warranty and all I have to show for my patience is alot of out of pocket expenses(for the purchase and all the out of warranty services), with probably no more than 6 months of continuous problem free usage. I have the original purchase receipt and the summary/receipts from the services. I have contaced them with a total of one "sorry to hear that we'll get back to you" response and none to my inquiries since. Does anyone have any advice under these circumstances?

  19. Sorry, this is a test. I can not figure out how to put a picture actually in the post.
  20. yes, 1083 does have the same specs as the 3803, along with the same list price though - $1199.
  21. This is what Denon emailed me today. ---------- Hi, LFE + MAIN refers to the front speakers set to LARGE. The low frequencies are output to both the front speakers and the subwoofer at the same time. When selecting SMALL for the front speakers ( LFE) then most of the low frequencies are output to the subwoofer. This is true in all modes. -------- Sounds like when you select "LFE + mains" then the system reconizes the fronts as "Large" and when you select "LFE" the system reconizes the fronts as "Small".
