  1. Well I just won the Heresy's yesterday on auction so Im gonna go pick them up this week but I had some reference center and surrounds and it was not that good of a match the more i listened espically in the crucial center spot. With matching tweeters and mid Im looking forward to the Heresy in the center. Im sure it will be a smooth timbre match for sure.
  2. AAAAHHHHh! After buying my dream Cornwall's a few weeks back I'm hooked. Ive just purchased a nice set of 84' heresy's close to where I live. I think I'll use 1 as a center and the other..... not sure mabye rear surround. Now I need one more pair for full 6.1! AHHHHAAHHH the madness.
  3. "The best of Ella Fitzgerald". Ooriginal Verve Lp!
  4. Hi Pako. So far they blend together pretty nice. I only got to sit down a watch my G3 dvd concert with Joe Satriani,Stevie Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Im gonna try to watch some regular movies this weekend. I admitt I'm probably 75% music most of the time, but the cocert dvd sounded AWESOME.

  6. I am currently using the same amp till I get my tube amp returned from a rebuild . Its powering my cornwalls and sounds very nice. I was expecting it to be harsh but I think it sounds nice. The cornwalls handle the 85 watts each that the 855 parasound amp delivers nicely. I have the Cornwalls aimed about a foot outside my ears and that probably helps not having the horns shooting directly at my ears. As always dont take my word for it give your setup a listen and experiment with placement. Im sure youll find a sweet spot. I used to use seperate speakers for audio and video till I got my cornwalls now I got rid of my video speakers and went and bought a klipsch reference center and surrounds and use the cornwalls for audio and video. I was a little worried about having a big screen in between my speakers and my soundstage and imaging in 2 channel but so far it sounds nice. I saved a lot of room by eliminating all the extra speakers that I found inferior to my Cornwalls anyway.
  7. Heres a pic. Went out Sunday and bought a Rc-35 and a pair of Rs-35's to go with my cornwalls. I had 2 seperate setups for audio and videp wich was getting to be too many speakers and after getting the cornwalls decided to merge my audio and video hence I bought the center and surrounds. Now I will just switch between my video system and my tube amp audio system with both setups sharing the cornwalls. Less clutter. Mabye room now for that kegerator I saw at Costco. Stainless steel none the less. This is from the rear right corner. Next to me is 3 leather chairs for a total of 5 chairs for viewing with 2 being good for audio listening. The room is 24x20x8.
  8. Ok. Up till now I've had seperate speakers for my home theater and 2 channel audio setup. I finally got my Klipsch Cornwalls I've wanted and bout a reference center and reference surrounds today. I want to cut down on some clutter. I have my room with my receiver for home theater and my tube amp for audio. Can I hook up the cables from the receiver and tube amp to the back of my Cornwall's as long as only one is on at a time so I dont have to switch wires when listening to one or the other? Thanks.
  9. LOL! Ok Edwin will do! Yeah I cant wait to get the amp. Ive purchased the Cornwalls since the amp has been gone so it will be awesome to hear them with the tubes as they were intended. The sound great with my parasound amp that Im using now but I think they will do very well with the tube amp.
  10. He should something up pretty soon he said. When he does Ill post a link here.
  11. Hi jt1stcav, The person whos is doing it is John Vaughn out of Arkansas. He does audio and guitar amp gear. He's been doing it for over 20 years. He's great. He also has his own line of tube audio gear phono preamps, amps , preamps, and such. Very nice and knowledgable person. The chrome is the original chrome I had he just shined it up a bit. I dont know all the parts names but he will be sending me a detailed list. He basically rebuilt it from the ground up using the original iron only. Thanks and take care.
  12. Not sure what happened Ill try again.
  13. And heres one of my amp that I should have very soon its almost done!
  14. I just thought since I was new I would share a pic of my current setup minus my tube amp wich is in its final stages of bring moded.
  15. HA! No we live in the country and can build where we live fairly cheap (compared to other places) since we own the property. We own a citrus ranch in Central California so when we buit our house from scratch it wasnt too bad. I'm not a gangster don't worry! LOL! It's roughly 3,600 sq ft. My wife and kids did live in a trailer for the first 5 years of our marriage so were not rich just thankfull.

  17. Thanks! Thats what I wanted to hear. Mabye I'll be able to keep them in the old folks home.
  18. I agree that an upgarde probably will come sooner than later. A direct drive cannot match up to a good belt drive in my opinion. There are some great ebay buys on thorens turntables and such. Also a used rega would be nice. It's hard cause you did not specify a budget. I know you'll find something.
  19. Just wondering what the lifespan should or could be. I lisen usually under normal to low listening levels, at least I used to until I got these. I fing myself listening a little higher now but nothing major. These thing put my ok system over the top for me. Paired with my sub I get great bass if Im listening low after everyones asleep or louder in the day. It dosent hurt that when we built our house (wich is 160 ft long that my music room is at the opposite end of the 5 bedrooms). Just curious cause they are 22 years old but new to me, and if something should go wrong should I be stocking up on some replacement drivers or woofers? Thanks.
  20. Hi edwinr I dont think NAD makes one any more. It was similar to a Rega I believe. I could never get my Linn dialed in right. The MMF-5 came all setup but I still checked VTA, Tangent, etc.... once over and didn't touch a thing and it sounds really nice for the price wich was 566.00 from Audio Advisor I believe. I might try out a little rock vibration table or something if I can find one cheap. Thanks and take care.
  21. Hello. I was wondering how I could figure out when my Cornwall's were produced? On the back they say (CWL,33X548) and the other ends in 9. I searched before asking but could'nt find anything. Thank you in advance.
