Foobar2000 on my PC with the SACD plugin works flawless and I have been using it for years. If your DAC does not support DSD Foobar will convert it to PCM on the fly also.

Nothing has changed from my thoughts two posts above. I have been working so much lately I have not upgraded the Klipschorn crossovers (which to do a fair comparison is needed as they are the original 41 year old crossovers). Having said that the Altecs just sound better to me. Both can play louder than I need and with the extra 4db efficiency of the Khorns I'm sure they will go beyond the Altecs which are already plenty for me and the 20x24 room. The Klipschorns have been pulling stereo subwoofer duty for a few months now with solid state amplification (it's nice having remote controlled subwoofers as some recordings are too much and some are too lean and this allows great subwoofer level every time) and the entire setup sounds amazing. I need to take some detailed photos though and probably sell the Khorns as they are too nice to just sit in the corners as subwoofers, but before I do that I want to upgrade the crossovers and give them a fair shot for sure.

900.00 Price is net to me for the pair and includes free shipping. PayPal friends or Zelle is preferred. Here’s a minty pair of Pass Labs ACA 1.6 amplifiers. These are NOT clones. These are true Pass lab design amplifiers. They operate in pure class A at 8 watts a channel in stereo or 15 watts per channel in mono. These are the latest versions with 24v power supply’s and newest boards. There’s a switch on the back to turn these amps from stereo to monoblocks. This design is very similar to the ZEN amplifier which Pass says the sound is very comparable to. I also think the sound resembles the F5 a lot. The amps are dead quiet, you get no hiss coming out of your tweeters, this gets you a nice black background to the music. Perfect for horn speakers, or single full range drivers. The amps have both single ended and balanced connections. Either connection can be used when bridged for mono. These sound amazing on my Klipschorns and Altec 604’s.

I have dropped my price drastically. I did not want to sell this but I am relishing this gir a few weeks then I’ll keep it if it does not sell. This is mint and performs flawlessly. This is the best version of this model they sell. It has twin 6TB drives for storage and an SS drive for buffering and sounds amazing.
