  1. Hello, Yes they have free shipping until 9-03-08. Save 61.00 when you can in this madness I call a hobby. I will post my results. I bought this amp really for the center channel and 4 rear surrounds.I am quite pleased to say the least with the Wyred For Sound ST-250 amp.for two channel,. a close second is the Kingrex T20. rmlowz
  2. Hello forum friends, Thanks for your opinions. I had to try a different amp for home theater. I called Emotiva they are very nice folks. I talked to Lonnie and Nick. I ordered the XPA5. I said I did not want a lot of power but what do I know LOL. I like the balanced connections so I got a XPA5. I then can connect my Cambridge 840E preamp to the Wyred For Sound ST-250 amp for two channel going through the AV-8003. I am using a ADA PTM 650 that only had 50 watts per channel. I kept thinking it was not enough power. I am hoping it will make the Heritage stuff sing even more. rmlowz
  3. Hello, I bought it from Audiomagus they are nice folks. It sells for 250.00 rmlowz
  4. Hello, I did not buy the PSU. They did not recommend it at first. They said to try out the amp first and if you want get the PSU later. That way you would know if there is a difference. I have it connected direct to the CD player then to a Shunyata Guardian with a King Cobra Power Cord. It sounds great. I just got my AV-8003 Pre Pro today. I will play with that connected to the T20 next. I have had Arcam, Parasound, ADA, Marantz and Rogue amps to name a few. The KingRex really puts a smile on my face. Only 12 watts a side!. I have two Heresey IIIs for the surround back I still have the K horns and 3 laScalas. JBSL you will have to come over soon for a listen. I will be getting my ED P7-650 subs Friday. I want to buy some ICE amps next to try. I heard they sound great. rmlowz
  5. Hello, I ordered a Marantz AV-8003 pre amp for home theater. I have the 2007 Hereitage speakers for 7.1 2 Khorns 3 LaScala IIs and 2 Heresy IIIs. I do not want to spend a lot on amplification for these high sensitivity speakers. I have had a lot of big high quality amps through the years. To me the more power I put on the Heritage stuff the more bloated and harsh it sounded. Do any of my forum friends have any of these amps with the Klipsch Heritage? The room is 15 x 18 x 8 foot ceilings Which one would you buy? Thanks, rmlowz
  6. Hello, Here in the summers of Texas. I get cabin fever from staying inside to long it was 106 degrees yesterday. This leads to researching for new toys. I bought a Kingrex T-20 amp. This thing sounds great ! neutral and warm IMO. First I connected it to my new Heresey IIIs that I bought for 7.1 WOW. Then on to the Khorns This amp sounds better than the Rogue Tempest II that I had no kidding ! I was wondering if any forum memebers had the same experience that I had with this amp. rmlowz
  7. Hello, You must be quoting street prices MSRP on the 6150 is 4k the Suite 7.1 is MSRP 3.6k. I do not own the Suite 7.1 If it sounds as neutral and accurate as the amp I will probably buy one very soon. rmlowz
  8. Hello forun friends, I just wanted to share my new find in the 2 channel- home theater amp arena. The ADA PTM-6150 is the most neutral and accurate amp I have ever heard at my house with my 2007 Khorns and 2007 LaScalas IMHO. After one tube amp Rogue Tempest II, several solid state Parasound Halo, Aragon,Arcam to name a few. This amp sounds so clean with punchy tight bass no harshness (brite) sound at all. I know we have all heard these terms before describing an amp. You owe it to your self to check on of these bad boys out. I am 50 yeares old this is the last amp I will buy. If you buy the amp while ADA is celebrating their 30th Anniversary It comes with a 30 year warranty!! I found out about the amp through a forum member on another forum. They started making this amp in the late 90s and are still making the same design today. No I do not not work for ADA. I just wanted to let my forum friends know about this new find in this madness I call a hobby. All the Parasound Halo and Rogue were sold and gone this week!! Take care, rmlowz
  9. Hello, I have a Conquest and a ED A7-900 they are both unbelievable performers. For the price It is amazing what you can get now for in the 2k price range. The output from the ED-A7-900 is even greater than my Danley. The Conquest is right behind the A7-900. I have been having a lot of fun playing with the new subs. They are big and not for every room or (WAF) though. Just my two cents. rmlowz
  10. Hello Coytee, I would like to make your Klipsch Jubeboree. How far do you live from Clarksville Tenn? That is where my sister and her husband lives. I would like to meet some of my forum friends. rmlowz
  11. Hello, I believe it has the AK5 crossovers part of the serial starts like this KHAK5BK. I have no idea why paint was missing? I think a little to fast down the assembly line I am over it. I was a little disappointed at first. My only point was that this is a $7,500.00 per pair of speakers which in my opinion is not little money. The speakers are, I will use the term regular Khorns in black ash and they were special order. Thanks forum friends, rmlowz
  12. Hello forum friends, My new black ash Khorns got here yesterday two weeks early what a surprise!. I connected them to my Rogue Audio Tempest II. I really don't know how to describe the sound but simply amazing!! They sound IMHO a lot better than my 1975 pair. The bass is tighter a more refined cleaner sound? Maybe I am being to picky but the build quality is not very good IMHO. The front and tops of the speaker look fine a higher gloss black than my new LaScalas. On some of the edges the paint is missing. A black magic marker took care of that. On the back inside their is a lot of the pieces of wood that did not get painted completely. Much to my surprise the midrange horn is plastic and is painted flat black with a brush you can see paint brush marks in different directions. I just think that for a MSRP of $7,500.00 per pair the quality details of the speaker should be better. I guess what counts is the sound they sound wonderful just my 2 cents. rmlowz
  13. Hello gaspr, Would you happen to have a picture of your false corners so I could show them to a cabinet maker? Me and wood do not get along at all. I want to have some built. I just ordered a pair of Khorns and they will be on both sides of the screen not in the corners. Thanks, rmlowz
  14. Hello Chris, Thanks for the great pictures. I don't think I have ever enjoyed one piece of gear more than the DTS 20 (ok maybe the La Scalas more than the DTS 20 or now the Growlers it is a crazy hobby!!!). I am now experimenting with JTR Growlers for mid bass they are simply amazing. I have one now and ordered another one it will be here before the holiday weekend. Take Care, rmlowz
  15. Hello DrWho, I have heard all including the 5805CI series of last years Denons connected to the Ultra II system in a THX cerified theater. Which really does not mean anything to me but it was certified way back in 1994. Last years 2307 receiver was not the ticket for the Ultras either will the 2308. It does not have the steam. I have not heard the 2308 it will start shipping from Denon on the 15th.The pre amp and amp section will be not much different than the 2307. I have heard the new shipped last week 4308 with the Ultras it sounded pretty darn good.I work in the industry and went to the training last week. And no I do not work for Denon. I guess what started this is me, it bothers me that a so called Klipsch dealer gets on the forum and trys to sell his wares. I do not think this is right and really do not think Klipsch should put up with it no other forum does. Just my 2 cents Frzinvt, The forum member is not looking for $5,000.00 worth of electronics his budget is 2,500.00 to 3,000.00 rmlowz
  16. Hello, Maybe you already have checked out the reviews on the Sherwood. In my opinion it is a sleeper. Thanks, rmlowz
  17. Hello Simply, If you are a dealer it is one the does know your product very well, which leads to giving out bad advice in your case. rmlowz rmlowz
  18. Hello Simply, I did read carefully he has a budget of 2,500 to 3,0000. You can get entry level seperates for that buget. tkamerica may be on to something here. I think you simply may need to hang out here and let us teach you how to sell before you give more bad advice. If you are interested in paying someone for some Klipsch sales training contact me I can get you a good deal. rmlowz
  19. Hello, A $10,000.00 MSRP speaker system with a $850.00 Denon receiver will not do your system justice at all IMHO. I have this sysyem and believe it or not the more power you give this system the better it sounds. Simply remote will not be in businees long recommending entry level recivers with the best system for movies the industry has to offer. I would recommend using Outlaw or Sherwood New Castle seperates This is a forum for all the forum friends to share their opinions and experiences with their home theater system. IMHO This is not a place for dealers to try and sell their wares and give very bad advice which simply remote just did. Just my two cents. rmlowz
  20. Hello IndyKlipschFan, Why are you yelling? and no I don't notice it the La Scalas will handle the range. rmlowz
  21. Hello, I am using the RCA connections. The AV9 does not have balanced connections. You are right, I have had more hiss using balanced on other systems I have had. rmlowz
  22. Hello, I would think that a big silver disco ball in the middle of the ceiling and about 100 of those dice with fur hanging from the ceiling would look great with all the Christmas lights.Just my 2 cents. rmlowz
  23. Hello, Outlaw is a great product but you can sleep good tonight knowing that it is not made in the USA none of it. Not that there is nothing wrong with that it is made overseas at all. My Halo stuff C2 made in Finland the Halo amps made in Tawain. The AV9 the FMJ stuff is made in the U.K all of the other Arcam is made in China it is designed in the U.K made in China.Just my two cents. rmlowz
  24. Hello, I just thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I know people that work for the Arcam Co. Here is what I learned the AVR 300 is no longer in production. The AVR 350 has the identical pre pro section as the AVP700 it is definitely a big step up than the AVR300. I have read through most of the thread and just wanted to make it known if that will help people make their choice. rmlowz
  25. Hello , Your Sherbourn amp gets a lot of good reviews and feedback, a lot of of people on AVS have them and love them. I might need to get one and try it out one day. I had a good conversation with the owner of Sherbourn Ron Fone one day. I think what I am going to do is get a Arcam P90 with the additional 3 channel amp module 3 x 90 watts. I have heard the Arcam amps are quite. I have a lot invested in the Halo amps.I will hold on to them for the Ultra II system for my retirement home. I wanted to get one of the FMJ amps from Arcam but all of the FMJ stuff went up 10% today something to do with the overseas dollar. I cant justify the cost maybe it has something to do with the hobby fund getting very low. It is definatley the Halo amps you can turn off the AV9 completely and still here the hiss. Just another day in the Klipsch upgrade path. Thanks for everyones advise and opinion. rmlowz
