  1. I can A/B them. I'm looking at buying the RF-3's so if I can get them cheaper than the RB-35's I'll just go with those and use the RB-25's for my 6th and 7th channels.
  2. Specifically, the RF 3 II speakers or the RB-35's? I'm replacing my mains.
  3. Hey you. Give me my TV back.
  4. The denon does do 7.1. I have a good sub so does going from RB-25 to RB-35 matter that much?
  5. Did you mean option 2?
  6. I'm considering two options here... 1- Upgrade my RB-25s to RB-35s and move the RB-25s to rear surround duty but then I'll have an itch to upgrade my RC-3 to the RC-35 match the mains. Not to mention upgrading my RS-25's 2- Buy a set of RB-15s for rear surrounds. RB-15's would be the cheaper option.
  7. I have the LFM-1 and I like it a lot. I never had the RSW-12. I only heard it in the store. I think they are both comparable. In response to the other guys post, Frequency Response of the LFM-1: 25Hz. - 180Hz. +/- 2 dB. You can always order the LFM-1 and try it out
  8. I got the LFM-1 and I think it just pounds. I did upgrade from a crappy Pioneer sub though. Money well spent in my opinion. Since I now live upstairs in an apartment, it's a bit overkill but I'm not planning to downgrade. I dream of the day when I have my own house and can buy a second LFM-1.

  10. I recorded Elf and Band of Brothers using DVD shrink and I don't see that the quality is too bad. What have you guys seen by using this program?
  11. I may be in "another country" come this fall. Perhaps I'll wait until I get back. Then the Xbox2 should be at a reasonable price. Hell, the Xbox 3 might be around the corner by then (assuming the involuntary extensions are still in place).
  12. I'm considering buying a xbox for my HT system but I dont want to if the xbox2 is right around the corner.
  13. OK, to set up 5.1 Dolby Digital in Comcast's Digital Cable boxes... In the main menu go to setup and audio. There you want the following settings Yes-Advanced-None-Stereo. That's it!
  14. I don't remember where the link was but I will post my settings when I get home.
  15. Thank you to all who replied I did some searching on the internet and found a post from a guy that works at Comcast. I had to make some adjustments in the Audio menu and now I get 5.1 when I should. Thanks again. Also, if anyone has this Motorola HD box, you can set the normal cable signal to broadcast in 480p instead of 480i if you didn't know.
  16. In the info section, you can see the dolby digital logo with 5.1 next to it.
  17. I got my Motorola High-Definition Cable Receiver DCT6200 today and hooked up my Monster Cable Digital Coaxial to my receiver, I set up the input and I only get 2 channel sound. Even on the high def channels that show it's being broadcast in 5.1. WTF?! I'm guessing the input (COAXIAL : TV/DBS) is correct or else I would get no sound at all. The display should read DOLBY DIGITAL but I got PLIIx C on my receiver's display. Does anyone have an answer? Update I swapped the coax with a optical cable and I get the same problem. DVD player uses the optical connection and that works fine in 5.1 and 7.1
  18. I've been with Netflix since February 2000. When I became a member, they had the 4-at-a-time Program which has dropped to the 3-at-a-time Program but they grandfathered me and I still get 4-at-a-time for the same price as 3. In that time, I've gotten about 3 scratched DVDs. I've gotten a couple that I havent even requested and they didn't ask for them back so.... Anyway, Netflix is great in my opinion. The turn around used to take a little while but since they have a location in Denver now, I have about a 2 day turnaround. They used to have adult films (Kobe Tai, Asia Carrera) but, for some reason, quit offering them.
