They sell for $104 a quad plus shipping. $65 shipped to lower 48 states, priority US Mail. Holler if interested. Cheers, Robert

Thanks Neil, you are so kind to attach the manual. My Marantz 2250B may need a repair,so the H/K will swap positions. Plus I'm dying to try it out with my Chorus II's,since I've read all the raves abouth the H/K Twin Powered receivers on the forum. Cheers, Robert

Hiya VRD ='s Varoom DAMN! LOL.. actually Valve Rollers Dream.. Also FYI I have my VRD's in a small room, which they heat up quite nicely, warm and toasty in the winter. Cheers, Robet -
The knobs made of plastic when they break, forget about getting replacements. When they do pop up on Ebay, they are high priced. I had a Carver 2000 series Haligraphic reciever for 15 years zero problems, but it hummed and when I broke a knob. I paid $25 for one off Ebay. Cheers, Robert

Hmmm.. Squeezebox,www.redwineaudio.com modifies those.

Hi Mike, CONGRATS! I have the Blueberry original MKI a refurbed that I bought from Mark and VRD's. Both sound great!! Craig's VRD's are unstoppable. I've had mine for 8 months and I haven't killed them yet,LOL! I did go through two rectifer tubes, the Russian ones. But since I switched to NOS Mullard rectifers, zero problems with tubes. The Russians were cheap at Dougs Tubes. I bought Amperex for the small tubes on my VRD's and quite honestly my ears can't tell the difference from the stock JJ's. Also customer service is AAA++ with Craig and Mark. I've pestered them with dozens of pinhead questions and never once have they called me a pinhead..to my face.. LOL. Enjoy. Cheers, Robert -
Fyi,there's a Scott 299 integrated tube amp with wood case for $300 on Steve Hoffman forum in the classifieds section. Just passing the info along. Not associated w/seller. Cheers, Robert

Do you guys leave your Blueberry's on 24/7?
robster replied to robster's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Hi Larry, well.. to be honest at first I thought the Amperex pinch waist sounded better, but only slightly better to my ears. I got the pinch waist for $90 off Ebay, but looking back I should have stayed with the cca. My ears really can't tell the difference, the differences are too subtle for me.. But that was about 4 months ago maybe later and the 10M Mullard I bought from you, thanks again btw,and the pinch waist are not noisy at all. I think I sold the cca to a forum member for what I paid for it from you,I couldn't afford to keep the cca and the pinch waist, but I'll never sell the 10M. It was fun buying tubes. But unless my old tubes fart and die I ain't buying any tubes for a long time. Now I'm hooked on portable audio. I bought a iPod Photo 60GB and sent it off today to www.redwineaudio.com for a imod. I have a Ray Samuels hornet portable amp for the ipod plus I use the amp for a headphone amp hooked to my Blueberry. My wife is working on her masters so in our small house I have to use the headphones whiles she's buried into her studies. I hope u'r not snowed in up there,Stay warm! Cheers, Robert -

Do you guys leave your Blueberry's on 24/7?
robster replied to robster's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Thanks guys,I don't do much listening durring the week sometimes none at all. I mainly listent to tunes on the weekend. So would it behoove me to leave my Blueberry off durring the week and leave it on durring the weekend. I have a original Blueberry MKI without standby feature. Cheers, Robert -
Howdee, proud owner of a Juicy Music Blueberry ,the original model,no creme, for about year now. I really really love mine!! ZERO PROBLEMS,sounds great!! I leave my Blueberry on 24/7 unless I don't plan to listen to tunes for more than 2 days and then I turn the unit off and unless we are away from the house for more than 2 days,I turn it off. What do you guys do? Do you leave your Blueberry on 24/7? P.S. I started with non-NOS tubes and now I have NOS tubes that I overpayed for a few and looking back I wish I'd stuck w/ non-nos tubes. The difference for my ears was only subtle from non-nos Ei,to NOS. But it's a fun hobby. Using 10M 12ax7 Mullard that a great forum member sold to me,12at7's are Mullards NOS from Doug's Tubes,6dJ8 is a pinch waist Amperex that I bought off Ebay. Best wishes, Robert

robster replied to robster's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
NICE looking 2285B! I read somewhere that Absolute Sound said it was the best sounding vintage Marantz receiver..I just sent payment for the Marantz 2250B w/cabinet,the same seller has a Mac1900 but the price is above what I can spend.. Cheers, Robert -
Mac 1900 and Chorus,a good match or not??
robster replied to robster's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Thankee,I've owned several Fishers,I need a SS receiver to put in my entertainment center, can't be tubes,no room for air. To drive my Chorus II's. I have VRD tubes in the music room. I'm leaning towards the Marantz,I've owned a 2325 in the past,it developed a serious illness and had to be sold as is. I liked it. Never owned a Mac. Cheers, Robert
