  1. Thanks Nicholtl, that actually was a question I had. BTW I noticed you have the PS1000 and dual Monster, is it even close or no comparison?
  2. Hmmm. Still batting 0/13 One more lame duck to add to the post history.
  3. In response to Minn male42(are you breathing easier because you "confessed" to owning monster power???) Yes When I bought it I was unaware of how many other companies there were making these types of products. Miguelyahoo is doing what I wish I would have before buying,That is getting as much info as possible before purchasing, and maybe ending up with similar performance/features at a much lower price. Am I satisfied? Yes, Did It improve my sound?Yes Would I buy it again? Hmmm I wonder?
  4. Have you heard of the catapult?
  5. I just wanted to say that Im very happy with the improvements I get from my M M Monster Power 7000HTPS, There I said it.whew! I can now breath more easily.

  7. Newbie wanting to ask that one question that galvinizes this entire forum, one question that promotes such thought provoking responses it becomes the new standard for which all other newbie questions are judged.I want to set this audio/video community on fire! So who makes the best tube amp, monoblock amp,SS amp, integrated amp, tuner, receiver,cd player, dvd player, dvda player, sacd player, speakers, speaker cable, interconnects,tv,monitor, rptv, lcd, plasma, overhead projector, plc, turntable, stylus, wall treatment,19 inch rack, cabinet out there? Also what is the newbie scale, are there any cheat codes available? Has anyone had any success with cash offerings to the administators/moderators in exchange for a higher newbie rating? Just killing time, waiting for my new DeanG X overs!! for 83 Corns
  8. Chris I have a H/K 525 and within the first hour of use I could hear its internal fan running, At that time I still had the backing on my cabinet, and what I thought was ample clearance above, Im not big on the idea of letting my equipment run till its thermal protection kicks in. Also the fan was audible at lower listening levels and your fan(s) might also be heard running. I agree with dkp in that you should take the backing off,I did and also rearranged my equipment to give me a good 5 inches of clearance above my receiver. The fan has never gone off again, and even after 12 plus hours of continual use, and it runs much cooler.

I think Im going to buy a set of your upgraded crossovers, With the holidays coming and work is a little slow right now, Ill get the more affordable set. On the bright side it gives me alot of time to review this vast forum. Tomski

  12. Wow, those are huge, for a minute I thought my 3D pipes screensaver had turned on(LOL) I can hear the question allready - have you seen the cat lately? I bet their easy to move-not. they are super efficient though, even more efficient than the Avantgardes
  13. Thanks for the quick responses(frzninvt,J.4knee)I think im going to try to buy a set of crossovers allready made. I can only assume what Frzninvts full heritage sound is like, must be incredible. Eventually will replace my ksb3.1 with a set of hereseys, also looking into tube amps Jolida,DIY and speaker cable leaning towards gauge of the cable being more important than brand/style and much better bang 4the buck.
  14. Hello,I have been reviewing this site heavily in the past year, but this is my first post. I bought my walnut cornwalls new in 1983. 21yrs old and I bet they will still sound incredible in another 21yrs from now! I have used only H/K recievers since 1979. models #470 680i 990vxi and now the avr525 still have the 680 and 990 I believe H/K Klipsch make a great combo! Now I have several questions in regards to my cornwalls. 1.is Liquid Gold ok to use on the cornwalls? 2.im using 8awg thhn wire for the cornwalls are there any negatives to this other than stiffness 3.thinking of replacing my crossovers on the cornwalls How much does it cost diy or assemled and from who. 4.what gauge/brand of wire would be good to replace the internal wiring. Thanks for any feedback!! I listen mostly to two ch.stereo and im still in awe of the sound from my cornwalls!!
