First off, dont' worry about your receiver powering an already powered sub. You could hook one up to a clock radio, and it would thump. Granted the RW10D is newer, but the amp specs are the same as the RW10. (to the best of my knowledge) My Sub 12 hands down, without any kind of fight, absolutely dominates my RW10 in EVERY aspect. Bigger woofer, bigger/stronger amp, etc. So, I say get the Sub 12. You won't regret it!!!

Ya, rearranging the room can definitely make a HUGE difference in sound quality! I've rearranged our living room twice to get better sound. And, she was happy cuz it opened up more room/space............... Let us know waht you think when those come in the mail!

She's accepted that this is just my hobby. Sort of like her and her shoes; only my hobby is just a little more expensive! She doesn't mind so much now. She did a good job of "blending" the system into our Living room. Pictures/wall decorations, etc. And of course, she comes before the system! In my 7 years in the military, I've learned that systems can come and go, but she's a keeper!!! [8-|]

You know, that's a very good point! I didn't think about that................

At the same time though, she is totally a fan of the dedicated room idea!!! then she gets to do whatever she wants with the living room . And in case you didn't know prior to this thread, no, we're not married yet.................

Here's how it all started. We met in jan 08 while I was home on leave. I was there (Memphis) for 6 weeks, and we decided to wait for each other for the rest of my time in England. (about 3.5 months) I tried to warn her about this hobby, and told her that my living room probably isn't what she's used to. I told her about the system, etc, and she was like OK, as long as I get to decorate the room around the system, then all is good. I said OK, don't act like I didn't warn you! So, In June 08, we moved to FL together. Once my goods shipment came in, she was like, WOW, your living room really is all speakers. I told her no, I have a couch, and end tables! Then she realized that I'm constantly on the move with gear; selling this to get that, etc. Then I added another sub to the system. I admit it's over kill, (don't tell her that) but still, "don't act like I didn't warn you"! Now you've read my posts about the ROTEL, and I truly have satisfied the "bug bite" for at least a little while. How long that will last is another story. So, like I said, she sort of knew about how big I am into this before she moved in. And she knows that I keep it within the budget, and have a TRUE budget system. I bought all my speakers when she worked at CC, and used her discount, and obviously basically stole the Rotel. So let me explain why the WAF is SO hard core in our house. I buy this, sell that, and then turn around and buy this. I've invested some good money into this hobby, I mean addiction, since she moved in with me last June. So she just "takes it, and sucks it up" as I do whatever I do with my system, and she gets to enjoy it, and watch chic flics with her friends, etc. But............................ she gets SO upset about it because as I've built my system up even more than when she first moved in with me, I havn't proposed or put a ring on her finger! [*-)] Need I say more??????

And on top of the looks thing, like mentioned earlier, we simply don't have the room for any hearitage gear in our little room...............

In my opinion it doesn't matter how they look. I mean, who buys speakers to look at them, right?

I've told Rachel that when I get my dedicated room, I'm going to upgrade to Heritage. once she saw the pictures of them, she said, "ya, you can get them when you get your room, cuz there's no way those are going in the living room". You know, the world would be a lot better off without WAF!!! [:@]

No, you guys are right. Im not boycotting them.................... yet. Not only are they the closest parts store to me, but they DID go the extra length, and brought me the parts. And top of all that, they give me 10% military discount; which Auto Zone ONLY gives on parts. AAP gives the discount on everything in the store....... I've been wrenching away on cars for about 10 years now, and this is the first time this or anything like this has ever happened to me; hence the reason I was SO upset about it. I guess one mistake in all that time ain't so bad.......... It's human nature

Ya, you're right!!! But, OTOH, the new found sound is enough to satisfy the bug bite I've recently encountered! Only a matter of time until it bites again though.......

So, I'm doing a couple test drives right now, testing out the amp. She's on the phone, so I have Lord of the Rings paused. I'm watching it in DTS, and I am totally blown away by the new found............. theaterism here!!! It's like ROTEL stands for Really Outstanding Theater Entertainment & Liveliness! Even she noticed a big difference, and that's saying A LOT!!! Anyway, back to LOR!

You have the C3, so why not just upgrade to the F3's? You'd definitely notice a difference then!
