  1. Get the RW10. I would steer clear of the Sub 10. I've never owned one, but we hear a lot of issues with the amps on here. (amps go bad) You'll be more than happy with the RW10. OTOH, I've never heard the eD A2-300..........
  2. To piggy back off Wuzzzer, you want the front 3 to be timbre matched. The front soundstage is the most important in HT. I wouldn't run 62's with a C2 center.........
  3. If you got a great deal on teh RW10, I say get it!
  4. Oh I intend to! The grandparents took the kids for the week, so I'm doing all the fishing I can! Going again right after work today. Got the pole, bait and tackle box in the trunk..........
  5. In case you didn't know, there's a garage sale section on here. You could try to sell them on there if you can't take them back......
  6. No, sell em or take em back. You'll want to use bookshelves for the rear surrounds......................
  7. I hear that brother! My room is bigger than I thought though. I would have guessed about 10*15; but I measured it, and it's 13*18............. now all you need is a Sub 12 to drive your folks mad!
  8. We've had absolutely awesome weather all weekend, so I've been fishing; all weekend! I was supposed to watch Quarantine tonight, but now UFC 75 is on Spike in 10 minutes, so the movie will have to wait! It's been about a week since I watched a movie at home................... I've been slacking!
  9. And I thought my room was small! Ya, I say put em on the sides at about 5' up.............
  10. Ya, this thread will never get old! Great setups guys!
  11. IMO, the same as they did when they were on the sides. If mounting them on the sides is possible in your room, by all means, mount them like that, but if not, my setup sounds great Our room was basically 180'd. The wall where the couch is is where the TV/entertainment center was, and vise versa. The right main and Sub 12 were too close to that door in the pic, and I wasn't very fond of the doggie always bumping into it, so we "flipped' the room around. I thought I'd lose a lot of sound from the S1's, but like I said, they sound about the same; although I did have to turn the db's up a little bit on my surround levels.......
  12. Keep the S1's.................... you get great surrounds and save money!
  13. Ya, I tried the B2's, and IMO it sounded a lot worse than the S1's, so.............. No problem with the hunt bro! Another problem with bookshelves is placement. With our room setup the way it is now, there is absolutely nowhere to put bookshelves. Right under each surround is end tables. But for surrounds, you made the right choice. WDST is the way to go....
  14. Since I couldn't post the pic in the PM....... here's how mine are set up....... Mains are about 7' apart, surrounds about 10'...........
  15. If you can find the C3; by all means get it! But seeing as they're as hard to find as they are, the C2 will do the trick. As far as the surrounds go, the S3's would be ideal, but once again, S2's or even S1's will do the job fine also! And listen to Rocko about the Sub 12!
  16. Good stuff! My neice got her black belt in Taekwondo when she was 9; she's 10 now. Her dad, is a 3rd degree black belt. 3 of their 4 kids are in Taekwondo now, so I call them the karate kids.............
  17. I didn't think you meant it like that. I just know that a lot of people that I talk to don't think that it is the same thing. I am getting my Associates in Medical Billing and Coding!! I am taking enviromental science and social diversity right now, only 2 weeks left of these and I am done with the Axia required classes and get to pick my own and start taking classes that are for my degree. I had to get all of the required courses done first! I really do like going through them though!
  18. The short version: Lived in Okinawa at the age of 15. Hung out with a young Marine who has LaScalas, and was a DJ. I was instantly sold on Klipsch. Got a job washing Humvee's and military Jeeps. Saved up all summer; bought a Pioneer receiver, a KMC center, and I HATE to admit it, but Bose 301's...................
  19. Don't think I've seen anyone on here with them......... Trey? You got the hook up on these?
  20. Home Theater mag just did a review on your receiver. Long story short, they said it kicks some serious butt!
  21. This is Rachel not Tommy. He always teases me about answering/replying to threads on here, because I know NOTHING audio related, so he asked me to do this one, and so here I am! I am also taking classes through Univeristy of Phoenix and I don't know who told that just because you are going to school online doesn't equal up to a real degree is a HUGE lie. I am sure Tommy has told you guys on here about me getting the job with the bank and I have found that because of me pursuing my degree has opened that door for us. I have also been going for about a year, I started in August because I was sitting at home checking my email and saw an add for Uof P called and then when I talked to them she told me that I would be done with school by the time by oldest turned 6 and he just turned 5 so... I work with a lot of people that are attending the average college and when they see me doing school work on lunch and ask me about it they then realize that online is a lot harder. I am sorry this is so long but I do not believe that an online degree is worth nothing when I honestly believe that I/we have to work 10 times harder than the average student that goes to and "normal" college. Don't get discouraged!! By the way what classes are you in? Who is your instructor? What are you getting your degree in?
  22. I would personally just get another Sub 12 and call it a day............
  23. [Y] We see a lot of receiver questions on here, and IMHO, they can be "difficult" to answer. I say that because there are SO many different brands, which all have great products with great sound/performance. I'm surprised the only two recommended so far on here have been Pioneer and Yammy. Like I said, there are SO many options! I don't mean to confuse you, but also consider: Onkyo, Harman Kardon, Denon, etc. Unless it's one of the ES ones, stear clear of Sony receivers.
