  1. Impeccable work, as always, Greg! Your business represents the best that America can offer. A man, working hard, hand-making products without compromise. You are as real and solid as your speakers. Bravo!
  2. A beautiful piece of writing. I felt as though I was right there in that air-tight pail.
  3. I have the same problem with hair care products. All I need is shampoo, but that word is always extremely small, and the shampoo bottle looks just like the conditioner (and other fluff stuff) bottles.
  4. She has a very sexy voice...
  5. That niche looks like a swell place for an equipment rack...
  6. I'd swear my wife adds things to my pockets when they go in the laundry, just so she can chide me.
  7. So, if you can give me more details, I can see what I dig up.
  8. I collect fountain pens (almost exclusively vintage). Was this a fountain pen, or a ball point? There are probably hundreds of models of each. Montblanc makes a good pen.
  9. I don't know a thing about the Lee Catenoid, but the ones on eBay were made with parts from a Fisher console (Jensen speakers)...
  10. They do seem like a pretty good deal...
  11. Another set on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Lee-Catenoid-Jensen-P8RX-P10R-Corner-Speakers-Alnico-Rare-OHIO-/270966982244?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item3f16e40664
  12. Thanks brac (and everyone) for the nice compliments! I'll pass them on to Paloma.
  13. Wow Ace, I just ran across this! I don't know that I want to know how that happened...I'm glad you're doing so well! Keep following doctor's orders (no matter how good you feel). Best wishes for a full, better-than-new recovery.
  14. Or make it look like our brains are falling out of a big gash...
  15. Oh yeah, I'm disturbed...but also proud! Weird, huh?
  16. This is fini's daughter. Thanks for all of the compliments! I would be flattered if you posted it and I guess you can credit me, Paloma. The materials that I used were the following: -scar wax (used to make fake skin around the eye and cheek) -fake nail tips (filed down to make teeth) -red puff paint (to make the muscles) -rigid colodion to make the scar (you need to be careful with this because the fumes are very strong) -thread to make the stitches -fake eyelash adhesive to attach the threads and help the teeth adhere -vaseline and eyeshadow to mix a brownish red goop to put on the muscles to give definition. I took just about every idea from this video and added a few little twists, but if yuo watch this you should be able to figure it out. Let me (or, rather, dad) know if you have any questions and I will answer what I can! P.S. I'm thinking about doing something new this weekend, so if anything awesome comes of it I'll have dad post it.
  17. Brac, I'll ask her tonight when she comes home!
  18. They're looking great, Forrest! All the dings and blemishes give them character, just like with me.
  19. My youngest daughter loves to do all types of make-up. Here's a special effects experiment she did on a friend. Sorry if anybody wets their pants looking at this. It kinda makes me a little sick, but I'm very proud.
  20. Michael, sounds like these repair guys have no idea what they're doing. I know your frustration, I feel it, too. There are so many little adustments that make huge differences in sound when dealing with turntables. When I found my Pioneer PL-41 turntable, I took it to a local expert audio shop to get a new cartridge, and get the thing tuned up. Turns out they missed a lot of things (including installing a cartridge that really didn't work with the arm!). I've learned a lot on how to set up turntables from the web, and in talking to various people. You absolutely have the mechanical aptitude to learn too, but it sounds like you're at the end of your patience.
  21. I knew a guy in college we called Rubber Mat.
