  1. I do not have any space behind the seating area. I am looking at upgrading to either a 6.1 or 7.1 suround receiver. I have not heard either a 6.1 or 7.1 system to get an opinion on which would sound better. But the old saying more is better is usually tru right! My wife saw a shown that the home owners changed the basement room into a home theater and now that is what she wants to do with our basement room. Now the fun begins!
  2. Could a center speaker be used as the "Back Surround" in a 6.1 system?
  3. We use to block off the room with the child doorway gates. My inlaws put there dog in a dog crate when they go out.
  4. IKF how many speakers is that? "7"as in 7.1!
  5. is there a problem using a "Y" adaptor? I need the signal to go to places.

    The Cinema Series would be a good option. Small in size but BIG in sound. Cinema 6 - $600 w/o sub $950 w/ RW-8 sub Cinema 8 - $850 w/o sub $1200 w/ RW-8 sub Cinema 10 - $1050 w/o sub $1550 w/ RW-10 sub
  7. I am comparing these 2 receivers. Denon- AVR-2105/630 watts/ 7.1/ $649 Yamaha-RX-V650/ 665 watts/ 7.1/ $549
  8. I found one at Parts Express for $18.
  9. under $100.00 with OPTICAL output(coax output does not matter). Any suggestions on brand name?
  10. We are having a debate here at work. Which is better? I say Denon!
  11. I bought Twister and The Perfect Storm. Twister was awsome. I could almost see and feel the debris. The sub had the house shaking like the tornado was right here. Watching Perfect Storm tonight.
  12. Does such an adaptor exist or can one be made?
  13. I can't do anything about the family room. I have to work with everything in there and that's it. At least I have Klipsch speakers in there now.
  14. BB DOES NOT carry the Referance line. You must go to a Klipsch dealer.
  15. I saw a product that allows you to copy DVD movies. It's a small box that has cables run from dvd player to vcr or dvd player to dvd recorder. I do not know what it's called. I thought I saw it on the BB web site but now I can't find it. Does any one know what it's called and where to purchase?
  16. I agree with going to the Ref Cinema line. I bought my Quintet system for $100.00! I could NOT pass that up. My future plans are to upgrade to the Cinema 10 for the family room and put the current Quintet system in the basement for the kids. REMEMBER...for $800 it's a very good deal. The Quintets sound better than the radio shacks!
  17. I have the Quintet system with a KSW-10 Sub. Like you I have a small family room and the wife does NOT want large speakers. TV, movies, and music the sound is great from those small speakers. For the price you can not beat it, BB had it advertised for $700 with the sub. The only other systems that the speakers are that small are the Reference Line Cinema Series 6, 8, and 10. The Cinema 6 with a sub will be around $1,000.00.
  18. My dad gave me a CD loaded with classical tunes. All I have to say is WOW!!! I am also borrowing his Bochelli CD collection. I am going to have to get some of these. The family favorite is "The God Father" soundtrack. the CD "MOB Hits" some of the best Italian music ever.
  19. Prayers for yah man. Just take it day by day and it will get better. I have health issues that knock me out for a month when I have relapses. I know how hard it can be to hang in there.
  20. To my eX wife - "I hate everything about you"...ugly kid Joe.
