  1. Hello. Do you have the owners manuel or original box in came in? Thanks.
  2. I want to purchase some of their gold plated banana plugs and on-line and on EBay their are two different names claiming to be the orginals. Can anyone verify the correct name to me. The other thing I noticed is that the registered trade mark® is next to the letter P on one brand and next to the spelling of Pailiccs on the other. One of them has to be a fake, but which one? Thanks for any help with this.........Link.
  3. I want to use banana plugs for my new Heresey 3's and believe the caps on the back terminals can be removed. Is it true and if so, is there an easy way to get them off? Appreciate the help.........
  4. I don't want to bi wire but how do I connect the speaker wire? Which terminals do I use? I just purchased them and don't want to do something stupid.........Thanks.
  5. Can anyone help me with the best to purchase. I see on Ebay that Nakamichi is a popular brand yet, when I go to their website their is no mention of them even making banana plugs.......... I like Monster Cable but even on their website, they don't have any singular banana plugs. I don't care for the kind that crimp the wires at the end of the plugs. Has anybody noticed that trying to purchase things like banana plugs at a store other than Best Buy is getting obsolete.......? Thanks for any assistance.
  6. That's what I thought, thanks for the help.........
  7. Just purchased a pair of Pioneer Pure malt Speakers that have gold banana plugs on the back however, their is a plastic cap on the end of each terminal. When I remove the terminal completely and turn it over, it looks like I take a screwdriver and twist the cap off somehow. I don't want to break anything but how else could they be use as banana plugs if I don't. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Link.
  8. Thought I would check with fellow Klipsch enthusiasts to see if there is any interest here first. Speakers have been in their original box now for over 10 years. I test them every January and clean the oak finish to a nice shine. The speakers are in mint condition, no scratches, no dings, nothing. I am the original owner and have the box, manuel and selling brochure. I live outside Tampa, Florida. I'll give it a week or so here and then on to Ebay. I can download pictures if someone is really serious....didn't do it now because there in the box in my spare bedroom closet. Price is going to be $500 for the pair.
  9. Any Pioneer Elite fans out there? I have been one for years but lately I don't understand what their doing...or not doing. Their top of the line receiver looks like crap and nothing like the VSX 59TXI that retailed for $4,500. when it first came out three years ago. No DVR on the horizon after the Tivo fiasco. They seem to be content with having top quality plasmas and they are good but what happened to the giant of the electronics industry lately? This is a company that every two years had plenty of new stuff that came to market and now nothing...except for plasmas.
  10. As you so eloqently stated, I read the manuel and changed the cross over frequency from 80Hz to 50Hz......I also moved the subwoofer away from the Cornwalls and it sounds a lot better. When watching movies, I change the setting to small for the fronts on my receiver and really pick up the bass. Appreciate everyones help.
  11. I have a Pioneer Elite VSX 59TXi receiver and I believe I can do some of the things you mention but I never really knew how or what they would accomplish. I will experiment with what you guys say to do.............Thanks.
  12. I own the RT 12D and like it a lot. I did not listen to any others so I'm not much help. I will say the Klipsch model is terrific and well built. The digital display is very useful and adds a bit of class. You won't go wrong with the RT 12D.
  13. I purchased the Klipsch RT 12D subwoofer and also own a pair of Cornwall 3's. When all is engaged, the subwoofer does nothing to enhance the bass. I have to fool my receiver and tell it that my front speakers are small and then I get the bass. Did I make a mistake by buying this subwoofer? Maybe I don't need it with the cornwalls? Please help!!
  14. Great article, thanks Dr. for passing it on and thanks to all for your response. I'll try a few things suggested and see what sounds best......
  15. Stictly for cosmetic reasons. I now own a new pair of cornwalls and wanted to purchase a new pair of heresy speakers for surround sound but I don't like the riser. Why wouldn't you match the cornwalls since in essense they are in the same family? Wish you left them alone.
  16. I just hooked up my new cornwalls. I was using in wall surround speakers before. I notice that my subwoofer (rt 12D) at the same setting doesn't put out any bass. What do I need to adjust. I imagine the cornwalls are making up much of the bass but I still would like to get more out of my subwoofer then just turning up the volume more. Maybe that's all I should do. I use a Pioneer Elite VSX 59txi receiver with one single wire coming out to the subwoofer. Thanks for any advice.
  17. There is no remote and the IR sensor will only work three types of PC learning remotes. I suggest you contact Klipsch Technical Service and he can explain it to you. It's really a wasted feature that you probably will never use even if you buy the remote needed. The other issue is that the IR sensor is located in the back........usually any sensor is located in the front. Despite this, it's still a great sounding subwoofer.
  18. I purchased one and just started setting it up yesterday. It sounds terrific and I don't have it placed in a corner. Very powerful even at low volumes. Mine is black and the finish looks very good. I have to play with it more but so far I am very pleased. I too was considering the RSW 15" but this is more powerful and truly does blend with the music. The ARC plugs in the back of the subwoofer and works just like the ARC that came with my Pioneer Elite receiver. Easy to use and calibrates room acoustics automatically with a test tone. All of the other controls are easy to learn and use also. As a side note, only the front grill has the Klipsch logo on the bottom. The sides have a place for it also so I inquired with Klipsch about buying two logos for two reasons. One it would look better and two, if the front grill got damaged in any way you could move it to the sides where it would be hidden. Trivial stuff but since the grills are all the same it would be nice to interchange them if you needed and have the logo too!! You can't buy extra logo's you have to buy the whole grill. Good Luck with your purchase.
  19. Must be me but I see no difference in sound quality. In fact the cornwalls acutally sounded better to me. I know we all hear differently and the ear is probably a personal thing but for twice the money...........................
  20. I am looking at buying one right now.........Do you like yours? Anything you don't like about it? Rich.
  21. Stiking out trying to buy both of these brand new. Anyone anywhere know where I could purchase them before they are gone for good. There must be one left somewhere in the U.S. I was going to buy the RT 12D but I just like the RSW 15 better. Thanks for any help on this..........Has to be Black.
  22. I sold my old cornwall 2's recently and am buying cornwall 3's. Any noteworthy difference in sound, quality built, etc. They weight about 8 pounds more. Appreciate your feedback.
  23. I am getting ready to buy one and got to audition it but they always sound different to me at a dealers showroom vs having it at home. Does anyone have one and is it worth the $1,999.00 suggested retail. If you do have one, do you have it placed in a corner?
  24. I live in the Tampa Bay area and was looking to get around $5,500. If I can't I'll wait and see if things change for me down the road..........
