Iam.. SAME EXACT FREAKING THING WITH ME.. Not kidding.. Distorted and discolored.. I am taking mine to a service center in Novi, MI over summer to get it fixed The reason why MWave is giving you hell over this is because they are not an authorized dealer of Sony.. so they can't deal with bad parts I was getting very frustrated over the phone, being sent back and forth.. having each place say the other should fix/replace. I just decided to get it fixed and stop worrying about it . Chances are that Sony will either give us a new monitor or replave the tube which will be like a new monitor so I am not worried. Anyhoo.. I do appreciate the help Sony Tech and I understand policy is policy.. At least they will fix it for free.. Good luck.. and drop me a line when you get it fixed.. I still have a few months to wait till I drop mine off. Last time I mentioned I needed to get my Sony fixed.. the thread went into the opinion war over Viewsonic.. Hope this won't happen again.

Hmm.. Vibrations .. not sure.. but Im sure it won't do good if it does anything. Also, the magnetic field is more likely to damage something .. I would move one or the other - better safe than sorry.

I just bought a whole system and sold my old one to a friend that was in need of one. I figured out a price according to pricewatch.com and cut a little off those prices even. With me.. my PII300 system from Dell was not worth upgrading the parts.. would have ended up with a whole new system anyway. Not a pain at all.. once you get your rears set up.. no need to worry about them. I still need to get my stands. I love how music thru 4-pt surround is.. The music is in ur head and not in front. Ya.. there are spots where the sound waves meet and amplify <"sweet spot"> across the room at the other corner.. it is loud but you loose some quality.. It is actually loudest right in front of my desk the way I have it set up. My desk acts as a resonator/amplifier - many a chest pounding

No Problem.. All you have to do is thread the end of the wire that does not have the Jacks on it Or you can just measure the inside diameter of the stands and see which plugs fit at RadioShack

Jealousy, What version of the Pros do you have? I have the 4.1 and I think they sound great. They aren't perfect but then again.. nothing is.

would actually be 5.1 since you really have 5 channels and the LFE subs. 6.3 is just the nimber of speakers. You don't have 6 channels and 3 seperate LFE channels.. but who's counting?

They are all like that.. Not the best quality jacks - this is why many people make better cables with better jacks. Just turn the jack till you get full volume and leave.

At full volume in winamp, 81% for main and 81% for wave, I can crank my Pros all the way up and there is no distortion. Try downloading a different version of the song [ie different file size of length in time. My song is 10:12 in length.
