I love my Maxtor.. Having 2 HDs is nice for backup Im not sure but lower density HDs may have better performance Im not sure but most High Density HDs are only 5400RPM also. BTW: does Lacie eve make IDE HDs? Hooking different sats will not change the amount of power that the amp puts out. The power is set.. 60W per sat 160W for sub. so if you hook up Quint sats to it, they will still only get 60W max power. They can handle up to 100W.. but the Amp will still only put out 60W. Hooking 200W speakers to a 100W/channel system does not make it a 200W/channel system. ya.. the SBLive! 5.1 does it for them http://www.soundblaster.com/resources/read.asp?ArticleID=4 The 5.1 card decodes the DD signal and sends teh appropriate signals to the 6 different.. altho, the Pros can onlt handle 4 but you have a center/sub for future hookup. I put mine on 4 speaker and hooked my ACS295 < to the rear and played some music and it came out the rear as if it were teh fronts.
