I bought a set of promedia ultra 5.1's last May... then after about 3 weeks i noticed distortion in the amp, got it fixed and I have been happy with them ever since... But lately, the highs of the speakers have started to sound tinny, and the lower midrange lacking even though the speakers sound the same as they did months ago... and these speakers are simply not enough for me... I want to go out and spend money on audio gear but I can't at the moment because I am only 19 and I am going to recording school for sound engineering at RAC in January and I need money for tuition and an apartment. So I have to live with it for another year till im out of school. But seriously, I think the Klipsch bug has bitten me...

Thanks, but is the dvd called just the "sound and vision disk" or is there a more specific name for it... Oh and what movie has the dts trailer with the piano?

Hi, Im just wondering if anyone knew where to get all of those preshow trailers. Like the DLP, presented digitally, DTS, dolby Digital 5.1, And THX Trailers? I found a bunch, but I can't seem to find any that are of good quality or more important, in 5.1? Thanks

Hi, A friend of mine needs some idea for his bookshelf/home theatre setup. This is what he said. My budget is ~2k, need a receiver, surround w-o sub, cd/dvd, and two bookshelves on the floor below/two outdoors. That's all great, but I only wanted to use a modified version of the cabinet, the drivers suck unless you've got 8 stacks of the things... these are the drivers in the ev cabinet: www.cameronproaudio.com/pdf/evx180b.pdf but if i put like an ascendant avalanche 18 in them and modified the tuning frequency to be lower.... welll then i'd better reinforce my foundation.. heheh If rather use this: http://www.eaw.com/products/KF940.html with this warning: A word of warning: high levels of low frequency information can and do cause intestinal distress. Please use these devices with caution. but those kinds of subs have to be used in groups of 4 or more to be effective...

It's just one of my crazy ideas, like putting a pro audio single 18" into the back of a sportscar...

Hi, I want to make a dual 18" Throated Bass Bin... You see, were doing some home reno, and i want to obliterate the wall behind my HT... Klipsch doesn't have any 18", I know the 15" Kick ***! So Where Can I Get 18"'s and Which ones are the best???

You can, just use a di box if it isn't a guitar amp...

Actually the cineplex/galaxy near my house has state of the art digital dlp projection and a pretty decent sound system. it's too loud, but the only distortion i heard was in the extreme low end, and a slight rolloff on the extreme high end. actually, the other cinema has the same projection and is thx certified! so it's a pretty good show for 9 bucks canadian

It was when the promedia 4.1's came out. I heard about these speakers but had never heard of klipsch, so i went to the nearest klipsch dealer, natural sound and they had some heritage series speakers, and some other speakers as well. when i heard the speakers, either k-horns or lascalas, i had an eargasm and knew that i wanted klipsch speakers. I still don't have any real ht klipsch's, but i did just buy a pair of promedia ultra 5.1's for my puter and they don't sound that bad... but i will buy a decent ht system once im out of recording school...

Which sounds better? Which audio mode is of a higher quality?
