  1. thanks, Professor. So you think DLP is the way to go?
  2. Don't get me wrong, that sucks, but Home Depot sells speaker wire.
  3. I'm finally going to go with a projector and am interested hearing opinions from owners. Is one technology better than the other? My budget is around $2000 but would of course love to go cheaper. Some of the models I have been considering are Optoma H 6800 and Mitsubishi HC 3000U (both DLP) and Sony VPLHS60 and VPLAW15 (both LCD) and a Panasonic PTAX100. I will have full control of light as there are no windows in the room, however I will use this to watch a lot of football so I will want some lights on. The room size is 22 x 22 (heated/cooled/carpeted garage) and I will probably shoot to a 8 to 9 foot DIY painted screen (any suggestions here?). Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Billy
  4. the air conditioning business is good in Charleston SC although I do have sympathy for my guys. We have been starting @ 6:00 am to beat the heat.
  5. Buckster season...[][][] DUCK Season WABBITT Season
  6. Deer and Bear Hunting? Deer Face and Bear A$$
  7. I remember the last year we were there with Holtz that he whined and whined about the noise, that it was not fair that we couldn't hear our plays being called. Wahhh Wahhh
  8. yeah, but we lost to Georgia, not Kentucky or Vandy. Think about it. And yep, I'll be there. I'm hoping we can park in the same place as usual, there's some parking garage southwest of the stadium up the hill, full of Gamecocks. There's a barbecue lunch in some large auditorium sort of place included in the deal. I have to check with my Manufacturer's Rep to see if we will be there again but I will certainly be there, just not with my family because after a loss it simply is not safe around there. I was there for the 17-15 'WHOOPIN" ...We made Shockley look like a fool and had it not been for that home field "illegal shift" penalty where that TD got called back we'd have had that one too. I'll take you up on that beer, just make sure Stafford doesn't get into the cooler before the game. There won't be any left for anyone. From what I have seen over the years, the rivalries are always peaceful. Athens is basically a safe town on game day. Most of the bars have fans from both teams in them and aside of some friendly trash talk it is usually fun. Send me an email when you figure out exactly where you will be tailgating. Maybe we can meet up and have that beer. It sounds like you have a pretty good size event planned. We used to do consistent tailgates but it has reduced down to one or 2 big ones instead. Most games we go to Wild Wing on Washington St. That's where I'll be. There'll be plenty of both team's fans in there and you can watch all the pregame and other games as well. Short walk up the street to the stadium. Not really an event, but for the last couple of years one of my suppliers gets these tickets to park in some parking garage that is basically all Gamecock people and included is a barbecue lunch right nearby and they have a big (huge) screen showing a game but basically it's a place to park. But as for the fans, maybe I just got unlucky a couple of times. Seriously, I smack talk lightly back and forth but I know we usually lose this game. But I assure you that based on the people's behavior after that 2002 loss I will not bring my wife or children back there. My wife was really scared and frankly so was I. I mean, I am a big guy, can take care of myself and someone else as far as that goes but I can't take on a mob. Maybe I was in the wrong section. The one thing that helped out that game was that we all were wearing regular clothes. In Georgia, Clemson and Baton Rouge we DO NOT wear team colors. It's a safety thing. Especially LSU at night. It is downright dangerous especially if you beat them, and I have seen that happen as well although I'm not chalking that one up this year.
  9. Man, did you have any trouble getting the doors to line up? I just built the same thing and they say to shim the back corners on the high side but it ain't gettin there. Everything snapped and fit just right, my platform is level, but the dayum doors ain't fitting very well. Any suggestions?
  10. Might I suggest a bit more cow bell? Or perhaps #5 could help you both.[] I think anyone would love to have #5, and I know they came to our house and showed us up last year, but I do recall stopping him pretty good to win the game in 2005. I know they could be tough, but Nutt's on the way out and I think there's way too much turmoil out there. Good luck.

  12. Go ***** Sept. 8, 2007 USC 35 UGA 10 I'm so sorry......but it's not gonna happen. [] Spurrier doesn't have the magic anymore and Mark Richt got smart and hired an offensive coordinator so he wouldn't end up like Spurrier. [] Well the difference is that Richt needs and offensive coordinator so yeah, the smart thing to do would be to hire one. Refresh my memory, but was that decision made before or after losing to Vanderbilt and Kentucky last year? Spurrier may not have the magic anymore but he's got Corey Boyd, Mike Davis, Kenny McKinley, Joseph Hills, Mark Barnes, Chris Culliver plenty of experienced and highly regarded incoming offensive linemen along with a 5th year senior QB and highly regarded quarterbacks behind him. On Defense, don't forget about the Brinkley Boys, Nathan Pepper, Eric Norwood, Captain Munnerlyn, Brandon Isaac and incoming Cliff Matthews, Ladi Ajiboye, Travarian Robertson, Clifton Geathers and oh, the Man, Kicker Ryan Succop. I think it will be an ugly mob scene after the game when all of those drunk rednecks start taking it out on innocent bystanders. I remember when Brandon Bennet dove over the line as time expired to hang a loss on them in the early 90's and in 2002 when Brian Scott wrestled the ball away from a DB in the closing seconds for a winning touchdown how unsafe I felt for myself and my family. You would have thought that someone had gone and deestroyed all dem stills out dare. This river don't go to Aintree. It's all smack talk right now, I promise I wlll get back up with you on Sept 9

  15. if i can't say something nice i won't say it at all
  16. The dock-dude at our place was talking about Costa Rica. He said when his son gets out of school he's going down there to live. I could definitely live in the Keys (upper Keys) but doubt I would ever be able to afford it. If I were single it would be one thing and if I were more frugal with my money I may could pull it off but housing is out of reach not to mention insurance. It's too bad, too because I could fish down there every freaking day. If I ever do end up there, somewhere between Largo and Islamorada will be the place. Now let me run, some hag out on Kiawah needs to beetch to me about her cooling problems.
  17. back to work today. Just got off. ugghh
