  1. bought a pair of heressy ll, any way the guy said he had been dying to get rid of them for sometime.... play ed them onetime along with my lascalasas, didnt really notice anything until the next time, which sounded like a blown woofer... could this be possible? their rated the same wattage as the la scalas.... did i get a lemon?.. been jammin with the same amp and equip, since 1978,,, added the h-ll's souldnt have been any problems... can anyone shed some light? supposedly their under warranty... the shipping will probably cost more than the speakers.. any suggestions?
  2. so who can build speaker boxes ,, i saw some building some belles a few weeks back they looked great... i have no time, anyskilled carpenter/speakers cabinet builders, would like sometrhing in the line of a la scala cabinet without the top part, for my woofers..
  3. if the woofers and eveything else is ok, id be interested, depending on how old they are, plus theve probably been blasted being used in a club, they might need some upgrading, speaker that are well used and blasted a lot will need probably woofers... , my lascalas have been used and superblasted, and are on thier 3rd set of k33, these new k33 are supposed to be superior to the latter ones, any way the fabric wears out eventually...someone near you will probably buy them from you, im in calif., but if you do your homework, test them out yourself, makesur everthing works, cleanthem up a little[careful not to exceed the power output....you can get 1200-2000, depending on their condition, even if the cabinets are fair used or slightly beat up.but it boils down to supply and demand, and who really has to have vs who can afford them... for a quik sale 1000.
  4. well ive seen some of you that build , try to build exact replicas of klpsch speaks,,,, who can build me a pair of la scala cabinets from the woofer down,,, dont need the top half. just using the k33 woofer, but would like the identical cabinet for the k-33... i dont have the time. let me know who does...

  9. well im a klipsch speaker fan, , i have always wante the big boys, but at the time they were to heavy for me to move around.... i could have picked them up new for 1,000 ea... but now there a fortune,,, oh well i say if you can afford the best go for it , you only live once..... if you choose to sell the corn's, ill be in line to buy them as i know they would make a great home, next to my la scalas, and your welcome to visit your old kids any time.. so let me know, if i an afford them,,, of coarse their old enough that the speakers probably need to be reconed, hope to hear from you... bye.

  11. whats the E stand for and whydoesnt the new 15" k-33 woofers have the E on them? their for my lascalas, and why are the magnets round, the oldspeakers have square magnets and are much heavier, it must be the nwer technology. or did i get wrong woofers?the la scalas where bought in the late 70s. can anyone help? PS.....I may be a newbie to this site, but have been jamming my klipsch lascalas since the 70s and have been hooked ever since.. i paid 500 each brand new. i did want the horns but they were to heavy to lug around, i wish now that i would have bought a pair of those as well, at the time they were 1,000 each....oh what a deal that was... i guess ill start saving up for them now............ive reconed the woofers once and now im just buying the new k-33-e outright from klipsch. ill be waiting for a response if there any thanks...........
  12. well congrats on the h's, i just bought a pair myself..walnut in color. theyll go great with my la scalas.... so i didnt see any mention of the price that you paid... is that a taboo subject... i like to compare just to see if we're both inthe same marginal price range.........i paid 950 out the door.im on the west coast.... and you? hope youll reply... bye ---------------- On 6/3/2005 6:12:04 AM edwinr wrote: My new Heresys arrived today. I've posted some pics below. Typical Klipsch. They stuffed up the delivery date. I expected these speakers next week, and they arrived a week early! I must say, a new Heresy is an extremely well presented package. There's something special about unpacking a brand new Heritage loudspeaker. The excitement when it arrives..., that new speaker smell... Anyway, as you can see below. I survived the unpacking process intact - so did the Heresys. Now to the first listening impressions. Having enjoyed an early model Klipschorn in my listening room for the last year or so, I expected very little from the Heresy. Only that these speakers would tide me over until I could order my new Klipschorns/LaScalas. On the first couple of tracks they sounded a little harsh. But they very quickly settled in, and I was absolutely astonished at the performance from these little beggers. Everything from 1960's Elvis to CCR, they rocked. But even more impressive was the way they reproduced Mahler. Outstanding. Every note just hung in the ear. I could cut the soundstage with a knife. There's nothing they do badly. The Heresy offers a very large slice of the Klipschorn magic for small money. I can imagine that those who are on a limited budget, or with rooms too small for the larger horn speakers, could seriously consider the Heresy 2. Some may like a little more extension in the bass, I would imagine this speaker would match very successfully with a quality subwoofer. But personally, I don't consider a subwoofer necessary. Anyhow, enough of this typing. I'm going back to listen some more. ----------------
