  1. I have been thinking about building a sub, I built one for the living room. My wife is having a rummage sale this weekend so the garage is full of stuff to sell, I am kinda annoyed, will be happy when its over. If I shut everything up tight I can play fairly loud without encroaching into the neighbors windows, but when the garage door and windows are open I need to be careful. But you are right a sub is in the future. Oh yea, you asked how they sounded? I have them sitting on adjustables shelves in the top corners, They are out of the way and wont get damaged, they sound good. As you probably well know garages dont have very good acoustics but all things considered they sound great. Lacking a little bass but like we mentioned a sub will take care of that. edit, Here is how I have them , I know it is not ideal for "critical" listening, but they are out of the way and actually sound good.
  2. Haha, I hear ya, I spend alot of my free time in the garage. It is the one place where I make important decisions like what will be played for music and what kind of beer goes in the fridge etc.
  3. Thanks, they do soung great. I been using Klipsch F2's towers in the living room for years and I think these may sound as good, better? I havent done an A/B comparison as I bought these exclusivley for the garage.
  4. I bought some garage speakers, Klipsch RB 61's for a $150 off Craigslist. They sound amazing. Big improvement over the Bose 201's they are replacing.
  5. Being an AC/DC fan from way back I hope the rest of the album is better than the one song I hear on the radio. As always I hope the best for them.
  6. And I also believe you are upset with yourself because you dont have the means to purchase any console..........You are right, Waiting is hard...I am happy I dont have to.
  7. Babbeeee is not the only thing I said......are you blind ?....XBOX LIVE is enough reason to never even consider another console. I get the feeling you dont even know what XBOX LIVE is.......sad. And I will own one by Christmas and playing Project Gothem Racing 3.
  8. XBOX LIVE Babeeeee! Nothing more needs to be said.
  9. Hello....I would suggest "Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allan Poe" and a greatest hits album for starters.
  10. Our house has 6 inch walls and double pane glass with sliding storms. I have had my system cranked loud at 3 am on weekends having afterbar parties and my neighbors have never complained. The other night I forgot I had some windows open and I did get some strange looks the next day.....oh well.
  11. I drink Maxwell House instant with a splash of milk.......I love it...4 cups a day.
  12. You dont have to look past "Sad Wings of Destiny", "Rocka Rolla" or of coarse "Screaming for Vengence" Try listening to the last verse of "Run of the Mill" off of "Rocka Rolla" .....the whole last verse is sang in a Scream longer and clearer and higher than your classic band "The Who" ever imagined.
  13. The Heavy Metal albums I listened to went Gold and some went Platinum and were NEVER played on the radio.....the only way you knew what the band looked like was by the Album cover or saw them live. Classic Rock stations who play "the Who" and "Zepplin" are as sickning as watching another rerun of "Full House" with my children. "Who got fooled again" was good the first thousand times I heard it, now I shut my radio off when it comes on. Roger Daltry is a long way from the best HeavyMetal scream ever......you really need to search past the top 40 classic radio stations for that.
  14. Rob Halford.....*Dissident Aggressor* off the *Sin After Sin* album.
  15. Well I will agree with almost all that Ear, But I never considered Bose an expensive speaker. More like a budget speaker, I bought my 201,s for $200 and my surrounds for $150 a pair. I would hardly call that over priced. Actually they did quite well for the money I had invested, I am just ready to step up.
  16. edit;double post...sorry...cant find the delete button.
  17. I have found alot of my favorite music has lousy recordings....Heavy Metal bands of the early 80's have less than acceptable recordings...but I found a long time ago they have a tendency to sound better the farther the volume is turned up.
  18. Kenny Wayne Shepard has good music.....Southern rock Blues. But Stevie ray Vaughan was the best if you like that type of music.....he may have been one of the best guitarists ever.
  19. I am not familiar with PSP games...but I would read some reviews and pick one... http://www.gamespot.com/psp/
  20. Thanks Seadog.....this is nice to hear...and judging from your signature, you know what you are talking about. I have considered buying the F3's as mains and using the F2's as surrounds. When my friends listen to the familiar old songs we are all tired of ,they claim they hear things in the music we never heard before. Some background instruments we could barely hear before are now pronounced and deliberate. I have my old music collection back out again.
  21. I have some wireless controllers Hatrick 66.....but for some reason we always go back to the corded ones. I dont think the cordless have the rumble feature.....I am not sure, been awhile since I used them.
  22. Thanks David.... I like the way they look also....and contrary to what I read on some forums...I think they sound great. They also are built well....These things wont rattle loose and they are heavy.
  23. ThankYou Updawg! I know the Synergys are entry level Klipsch speaker...But I love them just the same. They are great for movies and gaming. My Sony Reciever 997 is on the "Bright side" So I turned down the treble and it sounds good. I am saving my money for Rf7's and I will use the F2's for surrounds. Right now I am using 201's for surrounds, They probably will make decent garage speakers. I probably will get a new center next....get rid of that Bose center.
