  1. The Raiders have never recovered from the tuck rule.
  2. I'm pretty sure they don't play with each others balls. As I said "Yet to see the evidence". Notice how the QB always has his hands on the centers rear I'm not sure what the NFL standard is on enforcing the rules and punishment. Do they need direct evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt, reasonable suspicion, we don't like the guy or??? I'm sure there is something in their policy that explains what is needed before any punishment is administered. That being said, like oldtimer mentioned, it is the NFL. According to the report, the standard is "preponderance of the evidence", which is more probable than not. Thanks, so it would be more like a civil case than criminal which makes sense. Does the commissioner have the final say in an appeal? If so, is he involved in the investigation?

  4. At least Richard Nixon was more convincing when he said, "I'm not a crook!" People in high profile positions need to learn to keep their mouth shut when being interviewed on controversial and especially legal matters. Their organizations need to do better training, for lack of a better term, on how to handle the media and the public better. I am strictly speaking from a company point of view as I was a PIO, Public Information Officer, on several major incidences in my former profession. Usually, less is more. State the companies official position, answer a few questions, reinforce the companies position then, SHUT UP! You don't want to start a back and fourth banter war with savvy media reporters. In this day of hit and run media, something else will come along and divert their attention away from you. However, if you keep responding and answering their questions and bringing new and controversial conversation to the front, it can and will snow ball and turn into "Deflategate!"
  5. http://www.msnbc.com/now/watch/full-tom-brady-deflate-gate-press-conference-387846723865 At 1:40 of this interview which was after they beat the Colts, Tom Brady was asked, "Is Tom Brady a cheater?" Someone just called out Tom Brady's morals, ethics, honesty and if he plays by the rules. His answer, "I don't believe so???" Wow, the innocent man says, NO I am not a cheater or, I always play by the rules and never cheat, or you are questioning my ethics and my morals on how I play the game and NO I am not a cheater!!! Instead we get, "I don't believe so." Hey Tom, did you steal my cookie, "I don't believe so." Hey Tom did you steal that car? "I don't believe so." Hey Tom, did you lie about your knowledge of "Deflategate?" "I don't believe so." My opinion after raising three kids and interviewing more witnesses and criminal suspects than I care to count, "I don't believe so" just doesn't cut it! That's a deflection, not an answer. I think he's guilty as the day is long. Sorry Pat's fans.

  7. The RF-7's are sold
  8. I was looking around Youtube and found this gem from the late 50's. Sir Cliff Richard and the Shadows doing arguably the first real Rock and Roll song in Britain, Move It. Campy intro on an early British TV show but they appear to be playing live. I had forgot about the lead guitar player, Hank Marvin. He was doing licks then like Buddy Holly and James Burton were doing in The States. Legend has it he had the first Fender Stratocaster in England. A lot of the later British guitar gods credit Hank Marvin as one of their inspirations including Brian May. Just a very cool look back at early British Rock IMHO.
  9. I thought I had the speakers sold but the buyer backed out for personal reasons so they are back up for sale. I have had some questions about the back of the speakers. There were two, for lack of a better term, patches on each speaker. I asked the guy who I bought them from about them. He said he was the original owner and they were there when he bought them. They were likely dealer demos. The patches are rubber like with adhesive on the back. I removed them and found no damage to the cabinets but there was discoloration of the finish. I have included pictures of one speaker, the other is the same. I have been asked about the grill pegs. All of them are undamaged. I have lowered the price to $750 for local pick up in Redding, CA. I can meet or deliver for the right deal. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask, thanks.
  10. These are no longer for sale, thanks

  12. Thank you Ceptoman, here are some additional pictures.
  13. I have a beautiful pair of stock original RF-7's in maple finish. Cosmetically there are a couple of nicks on the top edge of one speaker. The grills and bulk of the cabinets are very nice. The drivers are in excellent condition and they sound great. Sadly, my room is just not big enough for the Cornscala's and the RF-7's. They are for local pick-up in Redding California. I am willing to meet or deliver within a reasonable distance for the right deal. Interesting trades are always considered. I can take more pictures upon request. I am asking $750 for them. Thanks!
  14. Consecutive serial numbers so they were obviously bought as a pair. Do those have wooden horns?
  15. Have you checked to see if your AVR is abnormally hot when it shuts off? If so, I would certainly keep the volume low until you get a better quality amp. I have read that sometimes inaudible distortion when amps are run to clipping can damage tweeters. I would think that NAD would be a great choice. The new Yamaha integrated amps are getting great reviews. I bought a new Yammy' A-S501 for my modest two channel living room system and I love it! The A-S801 has a great built in ESS SABRE DAC and you can get it in silver finish for that retro look. Good luck with your search!
  16. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ele/4972112769.html The Holy Grail for the true Klipsch collector IMHO. If I was on the East Coast, I would be robbing the kids college fund to get them.
  17. A very interesting read. Kudos to you for the obvious hard work you put into your findings. I haven't done anything with the crossovers or drivers at this point. I did spend some time with placement and have them dialed in pretty well in that regard. Vocals are dead center, provided the song was recorded that way. Some of the best pin point imaging I have heard. I'm getting very good depth of soundstage and separation of instruments/vocals. Some digital recordings do have their fair share of harshness somewhere in the upper mid-range, lower high range. The old fashion 10k High Filter on my Sansui AU-717 integrated amp helps that quite a bit. I am anxious to try it with a tube amp to hear the difference in overall sound. So far, they are not broke enough for me to fix them. I have yet to get to the point where I have to turn them off or risk permanent horn speaker fatigue.
  18. I would like the right half. Sounds like a mix up that I'm sure can be worked out. If you were first, it should go to you.
  19. Wow, I guess he got paid twice as I sent him the money as well. I will sell to you for $1,499!
  20. Yes, I will be listening to it a lot at bedtime through some nice Cornwalls!
