Thanks for the on info using the 990 with the 1095. I have also owned an Adcom 200wpc amp and the 1080 smoked it. For now, I'll keep what I have and look for a good 2 channel amp Any suggestion's on an amp other than the Rotel 1080 with 200 wpc?
-
Not a bad idea. I wonder if anyone has tried a Outlaw 990 with the Rotel 1095?
-
We have thought about doing the comparison. However, comparing a 65w receiver to 200wpc might not give a true difference in sound. He used to have an Aragon pre-amp and he's convinced the Outlaw sounds better with his Kappa 9's. He's using an Aragon 4004II for the Kappa 9's and the 65wpc for the center & surrounds. We think the bass is much better with the Outlaw. He doesn't have a subwoofer, but I'm using a SVS12/Plus12 in my system. Don't get me wrong, my system sounds great. However, the Outlaw 990 offers a phono input, balanced outputs to the amp and a tuner. I've always tried to match my pre-amps with the same manufacturer's amps. I must admit when I was using a Rotel 1080 for the front speakers, my 2 channel sound seemed much better than the 1095. That's what got me looking at the Outlaw combo.

I'm currently using a Rotel 1068 Pre-amp with a Rotel 1095 amp with KLF 30's in the front and rear with a C-7 center channel. I've heard alot of good things about Outlaw and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Also, would I hear any substantial difference in the two systems. I'm considering the Outlaw 990 and 7500 combo. My son bought the Outlaw receiver and loves it. Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated.

What model QSC are you using?
-
I have the SVS PB12-Plus/2 and love it. Check out SVS B Stock - they have one just like mine for $1,149.

I've read so many positive comments on the QSC amps that I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to try them with the Legend Series KLF 30's. I'm currently using a Rotel 1095. Would I notice a substantial difference in performance in the 2 channel mode?

I really like the 1068, but I've had some issues with the left channel not working. It's headed back to Rotel now for repair.

I'm looking to replacing my pre-amp and need some advice. I will be matching it up with a Rotel 1095 amp. My ht system includes 4 KLF 30's and a C-7 center. I'm currently using a Rotel 1068 pre-amp. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Carl, That amp sold fast. I might have some work for you. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience. I can be reached at 803-758-1286. I miss my 1080. Gary

Contact SVS. They sent me samples of the various finishes. The Rosewood looks great with my magahony KLF 30's.

I'm using a SVS PB12-Plus/2 with my all Legend 30's HT and it does a great job. I don't think you would be disappointed. The guys at SVS are great with recommendations based upon room size and a number of other things. Good luck.. I love the 30's.

I just purchased the Oppo 981 to go with my Sony 40" 1080P Tv and the picture and sound is great. You won't be disappointed.
-
Did you buy the Titanium diaphrams from Klipsch? If so, what is the approximate cost and are they difficult to replace? Thanks so much.

I'm running a 1095 with four KLF 30's and a C-7 and it does a great job. For a 2 channel system, the 1080 does really well with the 30's and I assume would do likewise for the RF-7's. Good luck.

I've owned the KV-4 and you won't be disappointed. Billy, are you headed to Memphis?

Cass, The Rotel 1080 has been sold. I still have the Adcom 2535 which can be bridged to 200wpc for the center plus 60 wpc to the surrounds. It also can be used as 60 wpc X 4. Gary

Before I list these amps on audiogon, I thought I would offer them to our fellow members. The amps are in excellent shape in appearance and sound quality. I'm only selling them because I purchased a 5 channel Rotel 1095. Here are the details: Black Rotel RB1080 is 200 wpc X 2. $650 plus actual shipping costs. Black Adcom GFA 2535 is a versatile 3/4 channel amp that can be used as 60 wpc X 4 or bridged with 200 wpc plus 2 channels at 60 wpc. I used this amp for my center plus surrounds. $350 plus actual shipping costs.

Jeff, I have already contacted you about the amp. I just sent you another email. Gary
-
You are correct. I'm using a GFA 2535 (200w) for the center and then a GFA 2545 (100w) for the surrounds. I have been pleased using them with the Legend series. I use a Rotel 1080 for the mains and have been trying to find the RB993 to go with that amp. I have read that the RB993 runs extremely hot. I have even considered going to a Rotel 1095, but I'm concerned about the quality of the 2 channel audio. If you're interested in Sunfire, there is a unit 5 X 200 on ebay. The current bid is around $425.

We may not find a RB993. I am also considering the adcom 5503. I'm currently using adcom for the center (200w) and surrounds (100w). Rotel may be coming out with a 3 channel 200wpc amp. One of their techs told me they were getting a lot of pressure to do so.

I'm looking to buy a Rotel RB993 in order to complete my HT system. Black or Silver will work. Let me know if anyone has one for sale.

I'm using KLF 30's for the front and surrounds. It sounds wonderful. I don't plan on ever changing to anything else. Also, I'm using the 1080 for the fronts.
