  1. Find one and listen,I think ear has to go over and listen, makes a hgs 18 look like a toy, on 1/4 setting this thing totally kicks you in the butt with very tight bass and super loud, sounds to me its more than they rated for spl.I may buy soon Looking around to just see what others thought about this sub I found this review How loud is the EP600? We don't know. Not for fear of damaging it, since the DSP ensures it will maintain its integrity, but for fear of doing structural damage to the house or losing bowel control, or both. Axiom claims a max of 122 dB of output, we don't doubt them. To be quite honest we expected to be clobbered. We were prepared for a beating and would have been let down otherwise. What this behemoth truly impressed us with, was its sophistication. Loud yet distortion free, powerful but never brutish, it never bottomed out. It never overwhelmed a musical score. In fact it made the middle and upper frequencies more appreciable. It integrated beautifully with the M80ti's and was also a fantastic match for our Sinclair Audio Brighton towers. It gave Sonny Rollins' sax more soul, Wagner more fire and the epic score of Lord of the Rings more body. Where other subs strain, the EP600 was effortless. Sure it filled the room with pounding bass but it never drew attention directly to itself. It didn't struggle and always seemed capable of more. Bass notes and kick drums had air that had been previously muddled; the bottom end was filled cleanly. As big as the enclosure is, it was its subtleness that wowed us. With the Epicenter EP600, less is more and bigger is better. A contradiction? Not in terms of performance, the EP600 is by far the best subwoofer we have yet tested. And at $2120 it's not another "one of those I'd love to own" components - it's actually affordable. Unfortunately we have to give it back and will have to make do with our collection of other subwoofers that have now been reduced to mere rumble generators. And what about those voltage triggers and remote settings on the back that hint at future Axiom products? Well, we can't say much right now, but they've definitely got something cooking. We can't wait 'till the dinner bell rings.

    HT noob

Yes you can use the sub out on the back of the receiver, set the sub to phase 0,set frquency to 80hz for now and set the vloume to 1/4 and break the sub in a while,as for placement depending on the room you can also use a side wall any where in that room or close to a corner as you say.Should work well
  7. Well theres the 25-31 pc+ 20-39pc+ and the 16-46pc+ ,What are we talking when it comes down to spl and low end for each.any one exactly know?
  8. Which other cylinder model is louder than the 25-31PC+ and still give the same low end,i dont see any spl on their sites that tell me,How loud will the 25-31PC+ go?,I use lascalas on mains and like a loud and deep end sub,What should i run? Thanks
  9. Ear i heard that the pb10 svs sub was a very hard hitting sub and very clean, can you suggest a sub that will thump me in the chest when listening to music or ht,You are telling me that the rsw10 is not capable.
  10. Ear i hear so much about the PB12-ISD that it is so good,Does this give a punchy chest pounding low end like the rsw 10,Which one of these subs give that best chest pounding low end for music and ht,I like hard hit low end not boomy,I know the price is quite different,I am thinking of two of each sub as dual setup,Can you help with explaining build quality and sound qaulity, thanks Ear
  11. When you have them all ligned up like a set of Macintosh let me know how it sounds[]
  12. Try hooking up an other amp and pre and see what happens.
  13. if you read what i had said i need the room or i would hook up my other lascalas or my other speakers up.i hooked up the rs25 and they work great and sound excellent with the lascalas just a little fine tuning ,I am picking up an other set for back centers note :becuase i need the room i am using the rs25 or I I would throw my corn walls back there.
  14. How can you say that a rs center speaker is better than SM video, have you ever used infinitys top SM video from years ago?Probably not since there were very little made and they were expensive to begin with.(For example) try to find a SM65 book shelf speaker ,Very rare yes,I have two sets in my strorage brand new,The RS series are below the SM series, and your tweeter is the standard infinty not the high out put, Call infinity for your self and ask them,Check the specs below more power handling and very effient Frequency Response: <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> 100Hz - 25kHz (+/-3dB) Crossover Frequency(ies): 2.2kHz Sensitivity: 89dB (2.83 volts/1 meter) Nominal Impedance: Compatible with 8 ohms Power Rating: 20 - 150 watts/RMS into 8 ohms Woofer: 5.25" IMG - magnetically shielded Tweeter: 1" ferrofluid cooled polycell PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS SM VIDEO Frequency Response (±3dB): 78Hz - 20kHz and 45Hz - 27kHz Crossover Frequency(ies): 2.2kHz Sensitivity (2.83V @ 1m): 93dB Power Rating: 10 -175 watts Impedance: compatible w/8 ohms
  15. Hi i dont know who has a have a pioneer 47tx reciever here but if you do can you tell me does yours when putting in a cd and when the sound is off in between songs turn the volume knob up and down you hear a kind of like a static noise or clicking noise sound very faint through your speakers,I have mine hooked up through a apc bar which is a good power bar,If i disconnect it and plug it in right to the wall i still have the noise,Try it on yours and let me know Thanks
  16. j-malotky It maybe true in what you say in some sence to match speaker brands all the same but that depends on certain models,i run a older front center channel Sm video infinty which is their highest large theater center with the high output tweeter and two 6" speakers and i havent found a klipsch center that would even come close to sound quality ,there is lots of sound missing that i hear in my infinty's i would not even hear on the top line klipsch center and i tried all of them,So that shows you,Would i sell the center ?,never.
  17. thanks for every ones kind input,i just picked up a set of rs25 surrounds and are my size for the space and they sound amazing,I think these would even sound great as back centers,I will pick up an other set and let you know,i think it depends on what you have for a av receiver as well,As i am running a 47tx monster this may be different then others are running.
  18. i dont want heresys for my surrounds since i need the room and they are to big or i would use them since i had a pair already, reference sound good with lascalas but i have to turn the volume down on my receiver for the fronts if you know any thing about volume for your surround and adjustment on 47tx,49tx.I need more db output to fill in more sound if you know what i am getting at to come close to 104 db for the mains so i thought the rs 25 at 96db would be a close match and sound great
  19. I was thinking rs 25 for rear surround since they are small for stands and 96db which would keep up with the lascalas,I tried the rb10 for rear surround on stands and they sound nice and fill in with sound quite nice but i had to turn the adjustment down to the lowest with my 47tx receiver,Question would you think the rs25 sound much better,Any ideas i dont want to spend to much and want to stay no bigger than rs 25 size. Thanks
  20. Hmm didnt i just mention to you guys about a JBL bin[],Both the klipsch and jbl bin are both simular.
