  1. Hi...I saw Nabil's post in the "Forums" Forum. I'm sorry to hear you guys are having trouble with the GMX systems...

I don't believe that our CSR's are technically required to paruze the forums, so it's possible no one has seen your request for help. You both may want to contact Klipsch directly to recieve one on one customer service in regard to your problems.

Please call toll free 1-800-KLIPSCH or (1-800-554-7724) Mon-Fri 8a-5p Eastern

  2. I bumped this over to 2-Channel...you'll get a lot better discussion in there [;)]

But, hey welcome to the Klipsch Community!

I've come across a few great deals at the Goodwill thrift stores near me too... Sansui TU-717 Tuner - $25, Sansui AU-717 Integrated Amp - $25, Sansui 660 Stereo Receiver - $10, Pioneer SX-3700 Receiver - $15, ADS L-710 Speakers $50...

I haven't found any Klipsch equipment yet though...I guess people in Greenwood know good speakers and don't donate them!? LOL

    Good luck with more finds!

  3. Sadly, after playing FFX-2 which I didn't like at all, I stopped there.

Yeah...I'm not sure what that was. I only watched some parts while somone else played it...and well...that's not Final Fantasy or at least not IMHO.

...then again I'm an old-schooler in terms of FF games...I still think IV, VI, and VII were some of the best.

  4. Thanks for the help! I'll do my best to name my files appropriately in the future, and to never use what I have learned for evil purposes...

    Please no evil! LOL...[:D]

But seriously if I find someone habitually and maliciously breaking threads with improper filename attachments (untill it's fixed at some point) that will result in a ban.[6]

  5. Now when you have new private messages the count of them will appear next to "Inbox" in parens in the header.

However if you have no new private messages then nothing is displayed next to "Inbox" in the header, although you may still have old private messages which you have already read.

A few people were requesting this, hopefully this will help to manage PM's.

  6. Paladin, What NO speakers??

Welcome to the Machine indeed! You have mail btw.

    Michael

heh...I'm getting ready to move into a new house. I'll take some pictures of my rig once I get squared away. That picture was taken in my room at my parent's house. Note the hip 1974 couch I'm sitting on [:P]

  7. don't know what is happening. i tried to upload a picture, but the server kept providing me with an error message (should have been my first clue). now, i'm shown as the most recent poster, but i get the same error message when i try to view page 11!? maybe this post will help, but for now i can't see what i posted, or how many times...

Yup actually you did upload an image but it's filename was not a valid windows filename. The file the forum got was named 1:1.jpg, where in windows a colon is an invalid character in a filename.

Now frankly, the forum software should catch that and parse the character out of the filename, and rename the file on the fly. At least In a multi-platform file upload scenario, like a web forum is, I'd think that would be the case. However it isn't so it's a bug.

Please if you're not using windows, please rename any files you upload so that they don't have special characters in them.

This microsoft KB entry has a list of characters that are illegal in windows filenames.

The thread should be working fine now. Sorry that it was broken for so long...

Oh and since it's the topic...you can view a picture of me here. [:)]

  8. I hear that about lamenting the special edition of the game to just sit on the shelf....I've been doing the same thing with FF-XII. From everything I've heard since I last posted on this thread, and your impression of it...it's supposed to be excellent. Right now though I'm still going Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams...which is decent...and easy to play in little bits after work and such... I'm getting ready to move to a new house so it will probably be a while before I get to FF-XII.

And as for the PS3....well besides FF-XIII there's only one thing you need to know GTA4. [Y]

Those two franchises make the console worth it to me (plus the incedential blu-ray player built in doesn't hurt)

  9. It looks like the search expects you to specify if you want to look for an exact username or perform a "wild-card" search on a partial username by using a wild-card operator, which is simply a special character.

The wild-card operator can be either "%" or "*". The * operator is fairly ubiqutious for wild-card searching in many operating systems and other software, while those of you familiar with T-SQL commands might recoginze the % operator in LIKE comparisons (which I should imagine is really happening). In any case you can use either of these operators interchangably to do the following:

If you want to find all users where the username begins with Larry enter either Larry% or Larry*
    The result here.

If you want to find all users where the username ends with Larry, where it can begin with any string, enter either %Larry or *Larry
    The result here.

If you want to find all users where the username contains Larry with other preceeding or proceeding strings / characters enter %Larry% or *Larry*
    The result here.

This information can be found by clicking the "?" help icon preceeding the search field on the members search page.

  10. There should be no reason why anyone would be unable to access the forums unless they're IP banned. Without more information, My WAG is that the forum may have been unresponsive when your friend first attempted to access it. Either that, or like you suggested there are possible issues on the client (his) end causing problems with him accessing it. This could be web "nanny" programs, or some issue with the local ISP.

There are various issues with the forum displaying and features working correctly in Safari browsers on MacOS, however there are no operating systems or browsers that would cause the forum to not display at all...to my knowledge...not any major ones anyway.

However if he accessed the forum at home and registered an account, it clearly worked before. It might not be a bad idea for him to clear his cookies from his browser, just in case there is some problem related to that.

If you get any more specific information as to what exactly his problem may be (or if he can respond from work or something) please let Me, Webmaster, or Amy know and we'll try to help.

  11. Hmmm....I'm not sure. I don't know how often the people that would be able to help you the most check this forum. If you register a free forum account and ask in the more trafficked forums there may be some users that know or it's more likely someone from customer support or engineering will hit this...

You might try contacting our customer support department directly I'm sure they'd be happy to try and find an answer for you:
