What bid snipers are you guys using? I looked on CNET Downloads and alot of the reviews said they were fully of spyware and viruses. Can you guys that are using them sucessfully share some info?

I stopped at Audio/Video System in Rochester Hills, MI today, to look at Cornwalls. The GM said he didnt know where a pair where that could be demoed, and did not have pricing. (yes, they are a heritage dealer) He said he is calling the rep tonight, and will give me a call with pricing. He even told me that they could take up to 5 months to be built, depending on the factories mood. Is this how long it really takes??? WANTED- Cornwalls (I'd even consider black)

If the price and condition are right, I am a buyer. Pm me with Pics and Pricing. I know a good amp tech nearby. []

You really want your stomach to turn? Walk through a Wal-Mart and randomly start picking things up to see where they're made. No surprise, 80% of their products are made in China. Remember they're ad campaign about 5+ years ago, with the American Flag on the box that said Made with Pride in the USA, or something to that effect? They even had it on their Semi Trailers! Well they've all but abandoned that... Makes me sick. It is hard to buy something these days that doesn't have some component made there....

Gentlemen... The passion has been communicated and well taken. The difference in opinion comes with the many options available. The more I dig, the more I find. The Opera is a GREAT LOOKING AMP, but my patriotism questions the option of investing in a Chinese built product.. (arent the still semi-communist????) Having never heard vinatage OR new (foriegn or otherwise) tube equipment, I look to you all for your knowledge and expertise in this arena. If it was German, English, or American built we would not be having this "discussion." It is an interesting avenue, Anarchist, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. It is fundamentally what I am here for, knowledge. Craig has been an invaluble resource in my hunt for my first tube amp. (Do the French build an amp? [6])

Yeah Duke, 31/2, thats a ride.... Damn near Erie, PA! I was just there last weekend, and it was clear sailing untill I hit that PA-NY border on 17, and then it was instantaneous, like somebody flicked a switch - WHITE OUT. [] No problem Meagain.... I looked at the eBay selection, and have moved on to Audiogon... The eBay Scott's are A's. My dad always taught me- "There's no replacement for displacement" Rings true with cars, speakers, amp's, women.... etc. There are, however, always exceptions to the rule. the search continues...

ok... hate to butt in. But onward and upward!!! I have a problem with patience. I'm working on it, but it has never been my strong suit. I have not been able to locate ANY HH Scott 299 C or D amps, (must be good, nobody wants to get rid of them!) But I have run across a few Dynaco ST-70 amps out there. Downfalls appear to be, IMHO, that it is not integrated like the Scott, which will require another purchase, and most of them are painted! Is it just to hide the poor previous condition? Anybody delt with this seller, Autospec? I didnt see him (or her) on the member list....
