I know you weren't really being mean d'tel, just giving you a hard time! I am not on the Atkins. I just try to avoid junk food. I excercise a lot more now. It does feel better to have the weight off. I am no longer on CPAP, have more energy, my knees don't hurt. All good stuff.

OK, dtel, that was just wrong. Plain ole mean. The man was sending a cry for help. And you had to describe a wonderful recipe with carbs. Now I want some carbs, and have been cutting back. Lost about 40 pounds so far. Must resist.

And for all the women on the forum.... I sincerely am sorry for the above comment about pitocin. Labor is no laughing matter. There is very little laughing in labor. There is nothing to laugh about in labor. Men should have to labor. I agree. Would be even more pain control options available if men had to have babies. I agree with this also. Better, even more birth control options would be around if men got pregnant. I too agree with this. And, yes, I have noticed that many unfair things in womens' lives have the word 'men' in them... Menopause, Menstration, Mental anguish and breakdown, etc. For part of the collective Men. I am sorry. Paul

Yes, that is the way life works. Speaking of life. The first of the three made it here all safe and sound. A beautiful baby girl! The other two babies seem to want to have absolutely nothing to do with entering the world today. Seem very content with their present living conditions. Nice and dark, quiet, warm... Bright light at the end of the tunnel, Me standing at the end of the tunnel. That's enought to make you want to stay put right there! The race of the snails! Paul

Yeah, I think both sides have been guilty of politicizing this thing. Do not want to get into that. Just personally have weird emotions about it. Was such a terribly sad day. Amazingly so. And I am not trying to start some political thread here. Not the point. But I personally just feel sad that, to me, it just barely gets mentioned at this point. By the media, people, whatever. Not sure why that is. Not that we as a country should be in a constant state of mourning for ever and ever... But that was a significant event. To us. All of us. Left Right Middle Christian Jew Muslim Straight Gay Klipsch Bose whatever. And at this point in time it seems to be merely a footnote to just another day. And maybe I am the one who is wrong, who knows. Maybe it just needs to be briefly mentioned and the day gone about in any other fashion. I guess I really got to thinking about it because I have 3 pregnant woman that I am having to induce for various fairly serious reasons today. They can't wait till next week to have their babies. So, these 3 new little people will have this birthday. Made me scratch my head. Asked my patients if that was ok with them. They said they had thought about that but that we needed to do what was best for the babies... Anyways, may God bring comfort to those still really hurting after these 8 years....
