  1. I almost did. Decided to pass on these MC30s offered to me. Had already talked to Craig about a rebuild and his estimate of the resale value would be triple my investment (and that is including his cost to rebuild) -- I was getting the deal of a lifetime. ($600 for the pair). Then i’d have to get a preamp too. BUT, i decided that i’d get more use and more enjoyment treating myself to another guitar. Tubes are pretty to look at; but, so are guitars. So, I’m adding a Taylor to the mix. Started hanging them on the wall; but, now have them on the wall, leaning against the wall, on a bench, leaning against the recliner, laying on the couch ...
  2. I store mine in the donut place down the street from my office.
  3. We should do a better job telling folks all these nice things while they are with us I am bad at doing that but am realizing its importance Wonder what our pal Boxx would have said about my lack of puncuation
  4. I was talking to this guy that is a high school teacher in Vegas. He said that he has students, working part-time, that make more money than he does teaching full time … they’re valets at the casinos.
  5. I had another cup of Hazelnut coffee this morning -- i hope you’re proud of me.
  6. That's those fancy California mosquitos, they probably have on sunglasses and sunscren, you should see the ones in South Louisiana ! our mosquitos sting you in french.
  7. i put a new pot on before signing off for the night -- it should be ready by the time you all start arriving in the morning. Enjoy.
  8. Very impressed with the website Michael. Way to Go!
  9. Hi Gary -- a bit wet as it started to rain late this afternoon. Figures--i just had my car washed yesterday. Went to physical therapy for my back/legs, grabbed some pasta & salad on way home. Will pick up the guitar in a few minutes.
  10. The 3 deadly white powders in our diet are sugar-salt-flour any/thing you/try to eat that has this as an ingredient you will suffer...... I’d add Heroin to that list. Yeah, i know -- shut up Steve.
  11. The honor is ours … Boxx was special to us -- thanks for sharing him. To see such an outpouring of sorrow turned admiration for Boxx wasn’t surprising -- he was a joy to talk to. To see such a natural desire to keep his memory alive is quite impressive. There’s a hole in this forum in the shape of Boxx, as there should be, and that says a lot about the man. Once again … my sincere condolences and prayers for his entire family as they continue on in life. Steve
  12. Here’s your morning greeting folks … had to send it early, since many of you cats are several hours ahead of me -- you’re on your third cup before i’ve had my first. So; drink up, be nice to each other, and have a wonderful day.
  13. It's about where they all go after a while, things get slow and there's no telling where it's going after that. Ok I'm guilty... alot...........but I can't think of anything audio that we haven't talked about at least twice. Okay, remember that song from The Cowsills called “Hair?” There this thread is legit again. But, please no more talk of where the hair is growing.
  14. Want to buy a P51D -- no stickers and comes equipped with Klipsch speakers and a lifetime forum membership.
  15. Is this really where Earl wanted this to go?
  16. that brings back memories … my sister and her husband had one and i drove it often--it was fast.
  17. just stirring the pot … didn’t Elton John say Saturday Night’s all right for fighting?
  18. That would be very helpful. I often read something and wonder if they’re joking or hate me … if you all knew me better, you’d understand why i have to ask myself that question.
  19. are you asking what BigStewMan means? If so, I used to be 17 feet tall; but, the only woman willing to date me was the 50’ tall woman from that old sci-fi flick, and she kept calling me Shorty (and I didn’t like that nickname). Seriously, It’s just one of the many nicknames people call me. Stew, Stewman, Bigstewman … the list goes on. I’m actually not a fan of bigstewman and have absolutely no idea why i put that down when i joined the forum…i know it can be changed; but, I’m kinda late in the game now.
  20. See … these things are like riddles and they make me feel stupid. I’m often tempted to ask the person, “what does your license plate mean?"
  21. Forum names and vanity license plates make me curious. I’m driving next to this Maserati today--it pulls ahead of me. The license plate is TVTUNES. I didn’t recognize the driver; but, started wondering if and/or how he is connected to music that is on television. Writes/performs theme songs? commercial jingles? Like so many other things, I’ll just never know.
