I think mine is the 87. I believe the difference is that your has the Samsung technology and mine has the Texas Instruments. Not sure which one is better but I a completely happy with mine.

Everytime I see a vintage Marantz amp I get sick to my stomach. 10 years ago when I was a bit of a wanderer, a guy gave me a Marantz amp he had garbage picked but I sold it because I did not have a pre-amp and my receiver was not able to do both. I think I sold it for $20.00. It worked fine, but I did not have a whole lot of audio knowledge at the time and figured a new pioneer receiver would work better anyhow. To this day I list that as one of the stupidest things I have ever done. Its so nice to have the internet more easily accesible to learn from.

Is that a custom entertainment center? Looks nice. I had a hard time finding one for my rc-62 to sit in,.but finally did.

Rumor has it I have to wait 10 days to put down a rug after having the floors redone, but only 12 hours for furniture...Is this true? Secondly, can anyone recommend an AFFORDABLE acoustical drape or even your standard drape with a good sound and light quality?

I am very happy with everything I have. I would have went with the 52's myself but money was an issue. I have no complaints at all besides my room starts to snow when the sub and 82s really start to work...darn drop ceilings. I am moving into my house in like a week and looking forward to some drywall ceiling. I have been designing some acoustical panels for the living room walls to help with sound absorbtion since my soon to be wife insisted on hardwoods. But, I am hoping an area rug will help. As far as brightness I havent had a problem. Just a warning....your musical tastes may change. I was mostly r&r, now since I bought the klipsch system I have been buying jazz and classical to hear what it sounds like on my system. Pure bliss.

I heard the same things when I was shopping for speakers. But, luckily I ignored them and went with klipsch anyway. Best purchase I have ever made. If salesmen told you the truth about klipsch....they wouldnt eat!!! You cant beat them.

I downloaded the instructions and there was a good picture of everything included. I should be fine.

I just got wall mounts for my RS-62's and they are OmniMount, here is there web site http://www.omnimount.com/consumer/Default.aspx. You should be better off since they weigh 10lbs, the 62's weigh 30lbs. On the back of the 62's I have the bolt hole pattern with the pre-screws built in, do the 42's have that also? The OmniMount plate matches the bolt configuration perfect so no need to drill into my speakers. I have the two bolt hole pattern that is about 2.5 inches apart. If that is the same mounts you have which omni model did you use?

The house is coming along. Maybe one more day of painting and then the electrical updates and speaker wiring. I have the floor guys coming on Wednesday to refinish the hardwoods floors.Then move in.

I have rs-42 surrounds and they need to be mounted from the wall. Id say they weigh 10lbs.. Does anyone know a good speaker mount brand for these? And to mount them do I really have to screw holes in them? Sounds like speaker abuse to me!!

What always amazes me is someone posts a question and gets an answer but argues when they get the answer. If you already know so much why come on here asking questions? You already seem to have the answer. And, one more thing....the average(99%) best buy/magnolia salesperson does not know beans about home audio. They read a magazine and profess to be experts. I can talk to 10 sales people (which I did these past two weeks buying my tv) and they all say something different but all work in the same department for the same company.

As an electrician I have probably wired and finished a 1000 homes in reno nv and every single one gets knockdown from the floor up in every room. It hasnt quite caught on here in the midwest but its all over the southwest.

I am just going to use it for dvds. I cannot afford cable till after school or some side jobs come my way. I have a yamaha progressive scan dvd player but its not hd or bluray. Im waiting out for one to win the format wars and cheaper prices to come. With the new house and all the fixing up I have to do with it I am strapped for time and money. I have to finish the house before I can move my theatre in and Im not even going to take the tv out of the box till then.

I purchased the Samsung 61" 1080p from Best Buy for 2149.00, they matched a price I found online. They originally had it marked 2899.00, so I did ok.

The reference line also has the cerametallic woofer. I started a post about nine months ago asking the difference between the synergy line and the reference line. You should look it up.
