I see guys with Mc 1.2 Kw amp driving systems using only a few watts. No distortions no need for more power.
Yep. This about sums it. Good post!

been a very long time but, what do you guys use more often, Facebook or X (Twitter)?
the thread is about a tweeter , it's not about twitter
Fwiw, I'm not on Twitter but enjoy Facebook on a daily basis...That said, YouTube is where it's at on the internet! 👍

So, my question to the group is, will I hear a noticeable improvement switching from the RP-600m and sub to the Forte IV?
Am I missing something or are you comparing a $250 speaker to a $5,000 speaker?

So...nobody here know the following line-up of the RF-82 ?
If you are looking for that footprint/size of speaker look for on original pair of Klipsch RF-7s or any generation since.

Are they a good pick up for 20?
If they are in decent shape I'll give you $30 for 'em.

Did get to see them once at RFK Stadium, can't remember the album but they had these big blow up dolls of hookers. Great show and Mick was awesome.
That was the Steal you Money tour I was talkin' about. I saw them again at the Cotton Bowl and they were fabulous in the POURING rain! It was an incredible, surreal experience.

It seems before subs the 2 speakers were asked to do everything in regards to Stereo Music. Then came multichannel with lower/power consuming notes which allowed to set a crossover where the speakers could carry the upper register more efficiently and omnidirectional low notes could come from the sub.
Fwiw, I enjoy multichannel music and like the way my 2-way speakers blend seamlessly with my subs to make it a 9 channel, 3 way Klipsch sound system. 😎 That's my take and wish I could afford the new subs!

Ha! I played a similar game for the "Steel Wheels" Tour....The prices weren't so high but I had to get a wrist band just to stand in line on a future date at 4 am to get tickets...Long story short, once getting there and climbing to the bleachers, which had a pole obstruction, my friend dubbed it the "Steal your Money Tour!" Lol. We eventually worked our way down to a slightly better vantage point, but...

What do you not like about this setup?

I tried and then they work just fine so i am not sure what's the issue .
I would go back to hooking them up to the AVR and take the external amp out of the system.

I doubt it
scammers respond immediately they ask you to reply to an email and they ask for money ahead of time to keep the item
Fwiw, I didn't contact the seller, only speculating on the Klipsch Forum.

Scam for sure.
His Facebook profile still looks suspect to me.

seller has good reviews
You're right. Otoh, the reviews seem to be for pretty inexpensive items (most less than $100) and none except these speakers over $400...Maybe a reseller doing it for a Klipsch employee? Dunno, but (slightly) interesting. Lol.

Okay. I gotta admit today I have too much time on my hands--after going to the guy's Facebook profile my guess is this sale isn't legit. Of course, I could be wrong, but he only has 1 profile pic that has comments and those don't seem to know who he is. The other 15 or so don't have any likes or comments.

Agreed. Otoh, I have to think (if legit) Ceptorman's correct because who purchases or keeps a pair of speakers for 20 years and never plays them?

never opened they aint recent , but they're brand new , 1000$
Yeah....This!

Good call! Dunno, but that would be interesting to know.

Hmmm...I'm always intrigued by 20 year discontinued "NIB" items. 🤔

how old is your subwoofer
Fwiw, the RSW-15 has been discontinued for over 15 years.

My guess that's not the main reason. The Forum is less crowded as well.

Aw, man! I'm enjoying the "Roarin' Reaper" on leftover pizza right now and wondering if you are making any other batches for Christmas season? Thanks.

Apologies in advance for resurrecting an old/dead post over something so potentially trivial, but I'm brand new here & am curious if there's some rule, or protocol, that kept this from being answered publicly?
No. It's been over 25 years since they've been discontinued so my guess is no one remembers what they sold for.
-
I'd find a slightly discontinued mid to upper-end Denon or Marantz AVR (with a good rep) that has been discounted with the features you want. At least that's what I'm gonna do when my AVR-4311CI craps out. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Well, that should settle it.
