When this all started 17 fans sent me a letter tell me how they got hooked and that they were coming to visit...they ask what day would be best.
We had folks fly down from Indy to join me in hosting the event. This went on missing only a year or two until 2011.
I had tons of help from forum members and friends. I had about $10k to work with. the money is no where close to that now.
I took on a new boss and job and was "phased out" of the event. I am glad to see the fans keep it going and I am glad to help when I can.
I plan to be there...maybe....just maybe I can chill and not work. Just spending time catching up with old friends and making new ones...
but when have you ever seen me sit down and not work an event?

Hello Klipsch.
I wanted to take a moment to say Happy Birthday to our founder Paul Wilber Klipsch. Today would have been his 111th birthday.
I knew Paul and Valerie a number of years before I started working for the company. I only had a few conversations with him about audio. Most of our talks were about life.
We talked about love and loss, the past and the future and the usual planes, trains and automobiles.
Paul always struck me as a man that loved to learn. I could be about stuff or people or how the world worked, but he was always looking for new things and how to make the old things better.
I have seen him make changes to a math equation 40 years old while in his 90’s. He had such an amazing mind. I miss his stories.
…I can just see him talking to Gabriel about changes his horn.
So, if you have a bottle of Scotch around, raise a glass to PWK. I know I will.

Email went out today...waiting on others to weigh in...
It is looking like Hope.
The date is still up in the air...Maybe the first week in Aug.
The Hope Watermelon festival takes place then...Give the ladies and kids more to do.
Maybe a bit hotter (if that is possible). We could make it a 50th bd party for me...as my BD is the next week.
OH and I am planning to get hitched in Sept.

I will watch the gate...we have a ton of gators in the area that like to eat....We can "feed" anyone we don't want around.
I want to address the corporate support....I know for a fact that it is hard for the co. to offer ANY funds to any event. It is even harder when the attendees of the event act like they want funds but not the involvement.......
No crossover school, I don't like to fight.
ANYTHING I have done for this event over the last 17 Years has been done because I am a bigger fan than most if not all of you.
SETI : I still have a scrap board with a name on it for you. One day I will get it to you.
