  1. I use a Jeff Korneff 45 on my Klipsch Cornwall II's and on my KSC Fostex FE206ESR BLH with wonderfull results. I think the Korneff 45 is the best sound for the $$$$.
  2. I have Jeff's 45 stereo amp and his 76 6SN7 line stage. I have used them with my Cornwall II's with good results. Jeff is great guy and I highly recommend his amps. Give him a call and talk to him about them.
  3. Mike, You will be very pleased! I have used my Korneff 45 on my Cornwall II's with Bob Crites cross overs and titanium diaphragms and it is truly the best sound I get with them. My opinion Jeff makes the best 45 amp period. Glenn
  4. Where can I purchase this material?
  5. I was told adding foam takes away bass? Mine were stuffed almost to the point of blocking the ports. I going to try it with none and then maybe ad a little.
  6. I purchased Bob Crites crossovers and tweeter diaphragms for my used Cornwall II's that I bought from original owners wife. As I was removing drivers to install coponnents I found the cabinates were stuffed with foam sound diffraction panels that were popular in the 80's ment for hanging on the walls. I removed all of this crumbling sticky foam. My question is was there any from Klipsch, original damping material?
  7. James, Thanks for the web site! Iam sure this will be of great help. Cornscala wow! Glenn
  8. Hi All, I own Cornwall II's I bought from original owners widow two years ago, and love them very much. I have read about upgrades to crossovers, speakers, rope caulk? What do the experts here recommend. Let me have it all from the most effective to the least. Also what skill level is needed. Thanks to all in advance for your advice, Glenn
  9. Can any one tell me when this Serial # for a pair of La Scala's was made ? I only have one number it is LS-BR 30x595. Thanks

  11. Currently using a Grado ZTE+1 bought that one a few years back because it comes with extra stylus for 78's It sounds good with the stereo stylus on 33's but I would bet your black sounds better. I had an old Shure don't remember which, I did not care for but I think it was well used. Glenn
  12. Vinyl fans looking at replacing a Dual 1219 in my second system that consists of Heresy III's, Sam Kim Audio Heathkit 151A. I am thinking of a direct drive Technics SL 1210 from KABUSA or a Thorens idler drive TD 124. Give your opinions on either or both tables or some other table. Should I consider another Thorens like the TD 160 II or TD 125? Thanks
  13. You will be OK...... Untill you hear your III's with tubes. I bought a pair of III's used about 3 weeks ago and they are fantastic. But using EL84 PP 15 watt per ch tube amp. Glenn in SCPA
  14. If you would like to donate your vinyl I am taking all donations!!! Glenn
  15. Last Saturday I received my Heresy III's I bought used off Audiogon. I hooked them up to my Sam Kim Audio modified Heathkit 151 integrated amp 15 watts per channel put on Chopin piano concerto no. 2 and my first impression was WOW!!! something special goin on here. Later played George Thorogood Live tilted the volume up a bit and the wife wanted to dance. Now I have not heard Klipsch speakers in 15 years and they were La Scala's but they were in dealers show room with SS amps and I was not that impressed. I agree with oldbuckster get you some tubes.
  16. I just bought Heresy IIIs off AG they arrived Sat. and I am using a Sam Kim modified Heathkit 151 integrated 12 watts per channel 4 El 84 tubes and it sounds fantastic. http://www.samsaudiolabs.com/cgi/sales/sales.pl?record=6 Now these are the first pair of Klipsch speakers I have owned so I am no expert. Another int to look at is Wright Sound George Wright amps are some of the best sound and good value http://www.wright-sound.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=23 Enjoy music, Glenn
  17. I have been looking for a pair of Cornwalls in the south central PA area and have come up with nothing. Are these on AG priced right, consider I would pay shipping? http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?spkrfull&1185592217
  18. Unless you really want to build your own kit Check out Wright Sound. Out standing value for the dollar, I have listen to far more expensive equipment that does not compare. George has it all Integrated amps to SET to PP. If your are into phono he has the WPP200C that replaced my Manley Steelhead.

  20. Thanks funkyhambone, Is homeslice a forum member? Gettysburg is about 1hr and 15 min from me. I hate ebay that's why I did not look there. Bid is in however.
