If you read a lot of manufactors' warranty policy it will state that they will not honour the warranty unless it was bought from an Authorized dealer. So, I would say it would not be a warrantied item.

Jolida JD 100 versus Arcam CD 73 or CD 192 Comparisons
hondajake replied to wallflower's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
This is interesting thread. I am looking, still, for a CDP for my system. I am strongly considering the Jolida JD100 till I found an Arcam dealer near me. To me a tube CDP would be best since I have Klipsch speakers and a Jolida hybrid... -
jt1stcav IS that your rig? Because United Home Audio has the same pic....

NICE those look sweet together. The difference in tubes, I am not sure about. I know the NJ uses 6922's VS 12AX7's, but I dont know what the sound difference would be...

Thanks guys for all the input! I think I have made my mind. I want something more refined than my Sony ES, that is about 10 years old. I have the LPS tubes in stock here, since I had them in my 1701. Now I have EI tubes, and I just ordered some Tung Sol 12AX7's. Thanks again!

William, Thanks for the reply. Excatly what I was looking for, a comparitive review by a real person, that had some similar gear. I am thinking the Jolida, because of my Jolida int. amp. Thanks!! Jake

Thanks for the input. I have been reading reviews on each unit, but comparing reviews are hard to come by. I like the build quaility of the Jolida, since it has the shields for each compartment, however, I do like the modular deisgn of the Ah Tjoeb.

Which would you choose and why? I am just not sure which one, they both get very high reviews, but none head to head. Thanks!

I had hum in my system with my hybrid Jolida. I bought a ground loop isolator from parts express, fixed the problem.

In my experience with powered subs it is usaully 10-15minutes.

promedia ultra 2.0: sometimes no sound
hondajake replied to Godai85's topic in Personal Music Systems
I just bought two pairs of B stock. The flyer in the box says 90 day warranty and the website says special 1 year warranty, which one is it? Also read the Amazon.com reviews, people are having the same problems that people stated above. Thanks! -
Klipsch at Best Buy vs. Reference Series?
hondajake replied to hondajake's topic in General Klipsch Info
The RF-25's prove to be a great speaker! We love them, as in my Wife and I! Great WAF! Local Hi-fi because I like supporting the locals... -
Klipsch at Best Buy vs. Reference Series?
hondajake replied to hondajake's topic in General Klipsch Info
That was a way to get them more recongition. I guess even now Audioquest is sold at BB... Mass market seems to rule.... -
I have bought and traded and sold on Audiogon, a great site!

He says that because he doesnt sell the product. A Ford Dealer told me once that Honda makes bad cars....Come on! Paradigms have a softer laid back sound, I owned a pair of Mini Monitors V1 about 6 or 7 years ago. Klipsch have a more live sound. Buy what you like not what some dealer says...What sounds good to you? If you like the Klipsch sound buy the Klipsch.

What was the design goal of each? I am new to Klipsch and Best Buy got me started by listening to them in thier store, however, I went to my local hi-fi shoppe and bought a pair of Rf-25 being disconitued.

I am new too! And I have seen similar posts to this in this forum. In my experience, high quality power is better than low quality power. I have a Jolida Hybrid rated at 50wpc and it seems more than enough for my RF-25s. Room is 20X15X8. Although I use this system for mostly music listening and sometimes DVDs in 2 channel. It would seem to me that if you need power equal to your RMS rating then how would people use Klipsch with 1 or 2 wpc SET tube amps? The reason high quality high current power plus the sensitivity of the Klipsch. Do you really need 300HP in your car? You never use it.

I commonly use www.ecoustics.com to look up reviews on products before buying...

Yeah that would be awesome!

The B&W 602 S3 is a great speaker. I had them for 4 years after owning a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitors for 3 years. The B&W's had a much more airy treble than the Paradigms. Which is why I bought them. After a while I felt that the airyness wasnt as clean and clear that I thought that it once was. Plus the B&W's dont have the presence that these Klipsch speakers have. Just the sound coming out sounds like I am really in a live cafe other than listening to it from the street. The clarity in the cymbals and acoustic guitar won me over. Overall, I am happier with the Klipsch than any other speaker I have owned. I started with Bose 301 then the Mini Monitors, and then the 602's, and now the Klipsch. I started with Denon Stereo Reciever and now the Jolida.

Thanks guys! I have been peaking around here for a few weeks picking up tid bits. Everyone that has been over thinks these speakers are great! I have a old Sony ES CDP with my system that I am hoping to get a Jolida Tube CDP soon. We shall see! But I am very pleased with the sound. I have a fairly large room and the speakers do well. Just awesome with live acoustic recordings sounds like I am there! Audio Flynn - I am not far from you buddy. East Lansing down the street!
