i was called monday this week and told that my sub was repaired and ready to go. picked it up tuesday and tested everything out. everything looks / sounds as is it should. there was no fee since the unit was still under warranty. 2 1/2 months without the sub though is a bit ridiculous...

I too, called Klipsch and they said a shipment arrived monday and the retailer I bought the RW-12D from will have the amp by friday. the wait continues...

called the dealer today, and they said the klipsch has still "yet" to ship out the amp. it has now been over 2 months since i brought it in for repair. i thought that we pay good money and buy through "authorized" dealers so we can get top notch service for our "certified" products... hmmm....

it could be done with either of those amps, although you would have to run it in a "series" connection to keep from going to low on the ohm's. i have personal experience with both brands, and i can say the dayton's are pretty decent amps. i would buy a mono channel amp and series the connection to keep the flow even to all bass shakers.

impressed indeed. when i was 14 i was kick'n it with a pioneer receiver and a set of realistic optimus 2's. nice setup btw.

i as well, came back from a week vacation, and find my sub not powering on. worked fine before i left a week ago... so i go out and buy some fuses and try one, and as soon as i turn the power on it pops it. pull out the receipt and find i am 10 days still under warranty. so i loaded it up and went to the dealer i bought it from, nov 2, 09...... as of 12/5/09 i was told the amp was on back order from klipsch, and that it would be mid Dec before Klipsch would get it in, and then i have to wait on shipment to the dealer and repair time. I still do not have my sub back yet. -------

yes, still new home owners. fixed that problem though.... "we now have curtains" woo-hoo! here it is with the grill on... i call it "the battle ready sheild" []

well the reason i flagged this post is because i just happen to be looking to buy a set of RF-62's and that is what i also would recommend you do for your setup. will be a great setup.

not the RF-62, but maybe if you were looking into a set of 82's....

for my PC i have a set of RB-81's for fronts and rb-51's for rears... the rb-51's hang from the ceiling with mounts... but i had to adjust the distance in the receiver to get them "balanced" out to sound even for me. the rb-81's on their own can easily drown out the 51's.... My 2 cents..

i am running in a 22x13 on the long end, as well with open ends with kitchen... i went from the rb-81's to the rf-7 for my mains... i have also ventured through a LOT of other brands to get "THE" sound i was listening for.... i will tell you like i tell anyone else... "no one will ever see the footprint that the rf-7's will leave in my house!!!" they are there to stay... in your case, with the open ended room you have, you kinda run into the problem i had. my speakers seemed to have to work really TOO hard to get audible enough to enjoy. NOT with the rf-7's..... they receive power effortlessly... if i you can find a set of rf-7's i for a good price, dont hesitate. but if you have to budget, then look at it as an upgrade in the future.
