  1. jdbeachbum dropped the RF-7's and the RSW-15 off at FedEx today and they should arrive here by Wednesday. He was awesome to deal with and even offered to by them back if I'm not satisfied! Can't imagine that I won't be but a nice offer for sure. Thank you, jdbeachbum.
  2. jdbeachbum, yes I did and you must not have gotten my email! I'm all in! I will resend my earlier email since it contains the FedEx center's address where I picked up some packages before. Please feel free to call me (or text me), if that's easier. Thanks!
  3. Cool. Where are you located? I'm working out the details with jdbeachbum, once that is done you are are welcome to my old boxes. Just pay shipping and thank you for your service!
  4. I am located in Berkley, Michigan. May I ask why you want them? Just curious is all.
  5. Calhockey, I actually have the boxes from my original RF-7's that were damaged in a flood and will now be used in my garage. I'm trying to work something out to buy these (and the RSW-15) from jdbeachbum, if that happens you are welcome to the boxes from my old black ones. I haven't seen them in a while but they should be in decent condition but not perfect, I seem to recall a hole in one of them.
  6. I have sent you a PM and am VERY INTERESTED in the RF-7'S and the RSW-15. Thanks.
  7. Thanks, Neil! I'll be in touch soon. I think willand is REALLY on to something there! That's one super idea right there. To everyone who has shown interest in these: I am on a road trip right now and may not be able to respond quickly, my apologies. I will get pictures ASAP but if it helps they are quite perfect. There are a couple MINOR dings on them that I just popped a Sharpie in them and they disappear. That's the beauty of having black Klipschorns! I'll update again soon and I will be in touch with the guy that called me today and with Scrappydue soon. Please be patient with me. Thanks!
  8. Thanks, Ceptorman! I hate to see these go but will be happy to have some RF-7's again.
  9. I think new RF7lls can be found for less than $2560 (1280 each) Good luck with your sale. If someone can provide me with a pair of brand new, perfect, A stock RF-7II''s, I wouldn't give a rats a$$ where they came from. I'm just offering what I think is a fair deal if someone is interested. And no, I will not ship these. End of discussion. Let's keep this fun!
  10. Thanks, Youthman. I would be happy with brand new RF-7II's (which are currently on sale for $1280/each.........come and get these before the sale ends and I will then need the $1600/each ), or absolutely perfect original RF-7's.......without ANY flaws. New old stock would be best if they are the originals. Basically, I'm looking to break even on this.......$2600.00 would buy these. I think that's very reasonable indeed. Remember, I will ship these at my expense for the full $12,000 retail price!
  11. I have a very nice pair of black Klipschorns from 2009 (AK-5) that I want to trade for a VERY nice pair of RF-7's or comparable. I'm located in Berkley, MI and the reason I'm looking for something different is that we recently moved and I don't have the proper place for these and don't see myself going out of my way to accommodate these beasts. I just noticed that RF-7II's are on sale for $1280.00/each. If anyone is interested in buying these, I would like to get enough to replace them with the RF-7II's. I would also consider shipping these (at my expense) if the buyer is willing to pay the full retail price of $12,000.00. Please feel free to make offers. Thanks.
  12. I think Riskay should be included on this list, too. Her voice is angelic.
  13. Why do you guys always bust people's nutsacks about pricing on the stuff they want to sell? Why shouldn't he try to get as much as he can for his speakers? I say more power to him. I drove to Indiana from Michigan AND paid $3500 for my Klipschorns and I have no regrets.
  14. Oh, never mind. I see this is an older post! That's cool, just saved me some dough.
  15. Where are you exactly? I might be interested in these. I'm in Berkley. Thanks!
  16. There was a dude in White Lake, Michigan that was also killed when a mortar somehow ended up being on his head at the time of ignition.
  17. I moved the subs behind the couch about 3' off the outside wall and matched the phase on both sets of subs and it helped a bit. I would love to be able to move these things all over the place but I don't think that's going to happen. I thought about trying all four on the front wall but that would require a TON of effort and I'm not sure I want to get involved with that. I thought about dumping this gear but I think I'll just get it as good as I can and if I ever move then I'll hope for a better result. It's nice gear so I think that makes sense because I'd hate to have to buy this stuff again!

    suggestions

I would pay close attention to these people. I have what is potentially one heck of a bada$$ system but I think the room that it's in doesn't allow it perform at it's best. It shames most systems for sure but could be SOOOOOO much better only it were in a proper space. These guys will help you achieve that space. Good luck.
  19. I have it set to Ultra. Have tried the mains set to large and to small, no major difference there. I know, these subs are supposed to be pretty sweet, let alone four of them! I'm thinking the room is the problem and I just don't have any interest in modifying it too much. I would build the wall if that made a huge difference, other than that I'm probably done chasing the perfect sound. Might have some pretty nice gear for sale soon.
  20. Also, for the record it does sound pretty sweet with movies. Music is the problem.
  21. I have tried it with just one set of subs running in each position and there is a significant reduction in bass, so when they're all running it is much better. Does anyone think that if I were to purchase the Tuba sub, would I use it with the current subs or replace them? As a side note, I'll bet 99% of the general population would be happy as pigs in poop with the performance of this system so I should probably just shut my pie hole and be happy with what I've got, huh?
  22. Thanks for the help, guys! Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I feel like the bass performance is lacking. I understand the stairway is an issue and the overall size of the room is also an issue. I am considering building a wall where the room separates in pictures #1 and #3. I would love some suggestions on what I could do as temp situation to get an idea of what to expect before actually building the wall. I think I am missing the tactile response that was mentioned before. I can't feel the floor or the furniture shake, but I'm also not hearing the deep notes that I know are there in the songs I'm listening to. Placement is a problem due to the Klipschorns taking up the corners, I've thought about going to back to RF-7's so I can get my front corners back for the subs. I think the other problem is my losing interest in dick!ing around with this. I've done pretty well with the audio hobby for years........why not call it quits while owning what I have always thought is the ultimate loudspeaker?
  23. I'm sure I wouldn't but I'm not sure where I would put this hog. 18" off the wall is almost 5' of floor space that I can't spare. I want to try it but I'm also considering being done with trying to get this right and getting rid of most of my equipment all together. Not sure if I want to take one last shot at it.
  24. Never mind, those are good pictures. What about placement? Where do you put yours? I'm probably going to end up putting it behind my couch:
