I am very happy for you and I was glad that I could help you out. Enjoy that sub.

I've heard comments that MDF is the best material for speaker cabinets. MDF resonates better than solid wood. Solid wood is more durable for harsher environments. Others have said solid wood is best. Then I have also seen speaker cabinets made out of metal, aluminum, etc. What is the best material for speaker cabinets. What are the pro & cons?

What does the 250 watts max really mean on RF 7 speakers?
Roc Rinaldi replied to zuzu's topic in Technical/Restorations
I like the way you drive [au].........................[st] 3 speeding tickets within 6 days. I'm not proud of it. And when I was a lot younger, 3 tickets in one traffic stop. Also not proud. okay for the sane people, when was the last time that you experienced 100% of what the car and offer you? I guess that shuts me up. Especially since I may have totaled my car Saturday. Depends on what the insurance co. says. I am sorry to hear.... I did not mean too.... I was in an accident not to long ago. Are, you okay, well you are okay enough to type this so hopefully you are. No one was hurt but my 2000 Dodge Intrepid may be totaled. Not to worry. Make lemons into lemonaide. My next car will either be a new Corvette or a Dodge Charger Hemi (425hp) I think. -

You just want to push me into a meltdown. It would be reckless of me to go beyond two.

Talk to me after someone steals your SAINTS from you, and their trophies, and their mementos, and leaves you without a professional football team.at 2:00 AM in the morning under the cover of night. Talk to me after you have to explain to a 10 year old boy why there is no professional football team for him or his father to share experiences with anymore. Thank you Chrissy. Yes. i'm getting over it. -

I don't know about you but I am switching to headphones. -
Maybe this is the answer that we have all been searching for. I think you're on to something. That's why I have no kids. But I wonder....would de-clawing be effective on them?.... [] No, but they are tax deductable and they come in handy if and when you reach old age. I'll have to remember that math...spend hundreds of thousands to save a few thousand on taxes....Roc, have you ever considered running for Congress? You're already set with that (il)logic! [] [] Oh, and I know that nobody cares what I post. It's just funny that so many seem to have so many questions and non sequitur comments for so many who don't care... [*-)] ...and who don't remember.

Did I mention 130 pounds? Did I mention 5,000 watts of subwoofers? Did I mention that I am a lot poorer now?

OK guys, it is unboxed, set up, and playing. Wow, oh Wow, oh Wow. All I did was run the room optimization program and play a long drum solo. Wow, oh Wow, oh Wow. My search for bass is now over. I have found the bass located in the promised land. I may have seen God along the way. The drum solo sounded like the drum set was in the room. It sounded like a "live' drum set was in the room. For a minute I thought I saw a drumstick fly across the room. Wow, oh Wow, oh Wow.

Using Two Heresy's as Center Speaker
Roc Rinaldi replied to thewolf's topic in Technical/Restorations
You mean like this? Actually, your setup looks perfectly sensible. I was referring to a Heresy speaker standing (not lying) on top of a TV. That would look unusual. Having the center speaker standing under the TV is totally logical, but most people have a TV stand under the TV. Is that three Fortes in front? Nice speakers and electronics. The Macs look good, too. Thanks you for your nice comment. Since that picture was taken I am now up to Five Forte IIs, two KG-4s, and two subs. The Macs are very happy pumping power to these full range speakers. My goal is to get two more Forte IIs and sell the KG-4s. No more subs though. Two is enough...................................................................................................for now. I am very impressed Thanks Roc. Boy you should hear this thing, especially with the two subs. I played a drum solo and it actually felt and sounded like the drum set was sitting in the room, at very, very, loud volumes. (105db - 107db) For a minute I thought I saw a drumstick flying across the room. -
MY WIFE AND DOG FOR A PAIR OF MINT FORTE IIs
Roc Rinaldi replied to Roc Rinaldi's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Wow Harry. Lou Michaels was our kicker and well known in Baltimore. I love your radio story. I guess you are really correct. It all came down to the bad owner and the mayor of indianapolis, not the whole town of people. This may help me see it in a less troublesome way and maybe I can try to forgive. I'm really holding a grudge against a dead man, so I really do need to let go of it if I can. -
Get the bed out of the room so that you can add more equipment.
