  1. That photo reminded of the small company in South Carolina that produces a HORN speaker using "one" 4" driver. If you are not familiar with it, check them out at WWW.THEHORNSHOPPE.COM.
  2. Found a listing in the October 92 Audio magazine for the M117. It is 200 watts/channel and bridgeable. List price was $1250.00 from 1989 - 1992. (My records only go back to Oct 89). Looks like it was their top of the line model.
  3. Nice triangular wall of sound and matching Heresy stands. I've had stereo sytems in many different types of rooms over the years and it's not easy to incorporate good sound and looks. My wife has her CSW home theatre in a small 10 X 12' unused bedroom. The sub is in the closet, the surrounds are too low, and the mains to high - but her & the cat love it! I have the 11 X 18' remodeled basement for my 2 channel - it's my favorite room in the house after the kitchen. Rock On!
  4. There were 4 pairs of K-Horns that sold on ebay since 4-18. Check completed auctions for something close to your 75's, but expect the value to rise due to the latest price of $6000 per pair to increase substantially as per previous posts to the bulletin board. Sounds like your friend was getting a heck of a deal there - was that under a "lease" program? Good luck!
  5. My AUDIO magazine directories only go back to October 89 and the EIII's are listed, so yours are pre-89. Frequency response is 39-20 with this bass reflex design using an 8" woof and a 1 3/4" tweet. Efficiency is 91, crossover at 2.7k, and price was $990.00/pair. I never heard Snells, but they sound like keepers to me - Enjoy!
  6. If you're still interested, I found the Onkyo TX-840 listed in the Oct. 89 issue of AUDIO. 70 watts/channel into 8 ohms, 90 into 4, listed for $380.00. I still have a 1988 Onkyo bottom-feeder cd player that works ok, but does require a slap once in awhile to keep from stuttering! On a slightly off-topic note, here are the '89 list prices for the Heritage speaker line (per pair): K-Horn - $3488 Belle - $2858 La Scala - $1876 Cornwall II - $1628 Chorus - $1630 Forte II - $1298 Heresy II - $928
  7. Been a klipsch owner for just 1 year but if you ask the "wife", that's all I ever talk about. It would have never been possible without the "MAN"! H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y MR. KLIPSCH !!!
  8. The last time I see the Cornwall (II) mentioned in Audio magazine is Oct. 89. Bass reflex design, 15" woofer, 1 1/2" Midrange, 1" tweeter (both horns of course). Frequency response is 38-20, spl of 101, 36 x 26 x 16". Weight is 100# and they listed for $819.00 each. I myself am looking for Cornwalls to replace my Forte II's as front speakers (along with some sweet-talking to the female unit). Good luck!
  9. Sounds like a nice looking set! Check under the "updating old speakers" section on the Bulletin Board, titled "Cornwall serial #'s". That should get you the birthdate of your Corns. As for value, you can expect someone to pay around $1000. Not sure if the bamboo grills would add any value - depends on scarcity.
