  1. HornED replied eariler in the week that he would be out of the loop for awhile (no time specified). Stated he was ok, and glad to see the regulars on the b/b...........
  2. bobo, contact MACE on the b/b he has this equipment and could possibily help... check two channel...........
  3. Kain, Glad to see you finally got the name change done. Are you looking the change the present system you have??? Or just curious of what others have? I use the Creek 4140 Integrated Amp....
  4. I don't think Dan wants walkmans and such..............
  5. Dan, I have a aj3925 Panasonic cd radio-I use it in the Bathroom,it produces good sound and I got it at Sam's Club for only 35.00 ! As opposed to the 75.00+ they want for the other products. It is a simple to use no nonsense unit with big buttons/and a easy to set clock........... good luck.
  6. As Elmer Fudd said "Be vevy vevy quiet-Iam hunting SYS owners"...................
  7. Dale, Impressions are funny. I (live in the U.S.), never hear of any crime from upnorth- so I assumed (I Know), that you wouldn't have this bad problem. I truly hope the store owner is given a slap on the wrist- but he sure " K-HORNED THEM"....
  8. Dean, I corrected my post, Humble apologies too the tube gods........
  9. Kev, Contact NOSValves, on this B/B ... He is the expert, bar none on tubes, fixing tubes, finding tubes.......... good luck
  10. I emailed tweeter about the pricing on RF 7's.... took them two days to tell me they didn't have Any in stock and 7-14 days before they would....Ye Right... Things must be flying off the shevles there oh well
  11. Bruinsrme- What part of the country are you in to get this deal?
  12. Curious if Leslies - making no comment means something?
  13. Doc, email MACE on this form. He has/is quiet knowledgeable about B & W pruducts...........
  14. There is a good review in Stereophile mag on the JBL-38'S comparing them to the old JBL'S.... that I clearly remember, in about the Sept 2002 edition. But as another person said, just take them back.... Buy some Klipsch.
  15. Ken, It is funny you meionted that....I started to complement someone on this b/b as being the Grandfather of..... and realized, hell I could be one. I have a son that's 21...........
  16. Doc, I also looked at the JBL 38's. I loved the fullness the speakers produced, but to me there bass was way to harsh. 250.oo for two was an excellent deal any you cut it. I listen to classical music, and love my little Klipsch SB-3's. They fill my 12 x 20 living room with rich, full sound. I still can't beleive the sound stage they produce. My son complements me (LOL)- on their imaging! I was hesitent at first, also to try klipsch, with my limited budget, but once I brought them home, and got the speakers arranged properly I was sold. Please, when Best Buy gets in their Klipsch,(I know-all the comments), go listen, hell, even buy some SB-3's and try them out. If you don't like them-take em back. But I think would would fast become a Klipsch fan if you did. MHO..........
  17. Matthew, Also - at least these folks are talking about hifi(bad choice of words), instead of political comments..... so it applies-even if it isn't a Klipsch product...we can learn about neat /different products that some of us aren't knowledge about...for example just this month I have discovered Harman Kardon receivers- and I am looking into the Heritiage line of speakers....src='http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif']
  18. Moon, I may have been hasty with the gateway comment-I did have one for 2 1/2 years. I tried to expand it, (266) but it was far more hassle . Whereas the dells covers come off eaiser, and you can clearly see the insides to get to the componets. MHO.
  19. m00n, I agree with you-but with one cavet! Stay away from Gateway. They are owned by Netscape/Aol timewarner. You can't expanded them, and there service dept is not very good. IMO. You are a Man of many talents,computers/web design/ and now Belles!............
  20. Hi- I like the closed Koss 80's, comfortable and inexpensive for 60.00.
  21. Hi- you should go to the klipsch speaker section, and see what combination they recommend to go with your main speakers. Good luck.
  22. Mike, I like Dell products. I have purchased three different units. They seem to be dependable, and are very easy to work on by yourself. Dell sells refurbished/ and discounted units- through there web site. E Machines are cheap, and don't have the Good equipment inside to do what you seem to want to do. I recently purchased a Pentium 4,tower unit, speakers, and keyboard for 500.00 2gb hd, 256 memory, with an eathnernet card. prices have dropped even more. Hope this helps.
  23. Ken, Your very lucky the seller agreed to replace the part for you. If you read the fine print you would have only received a part of the price you paid, their insurance is,(something like 10%)! So you really lucked out..............
  24. Louis, Congrats on your sale-guess you got what you needed out of the speakers....
