  2. Of course and thinking about going to see him. He had a few choice ones. Saw him about 3 years ago and did some phone conversations. If he still has, I want a pic or so of what he has nowadays. Had not seen him in maybe 30 years plus.

  6. Well dang, it is more valuable then on their market versus the BS graphics one I sold on the e-bay...cool but, I will find another lp, thanks mate... Looks like a keeper to me. lol See you gave more info...yes, I can handle the lesser $$$
  7. Did you say it was sealed? Haven't seen one stateside lately but will get a copy one day. Remember it for it's artist's intrinsic value to me. Thanks!
  8. Understand the concept there Mike. Have several in my small collection. Some posted here. Now mono sounding better, is a generalization to me. Preference is one thing versus another audio format. Generally would agree as before the analog video signal was scrambled, the analog at or above threshold, a down converted RF signal via satellite direct and a Sony or NEC monitor, is still superior, in some ways to some versus digital signals descrambled/scrambled and broadcast over a wifi or trunkline driven with inline amps. over miles of coverage area. Even the qualities of one format versus another format, it can still come down to a matter of taste. Been letting my personal preferences dictate mine over time and, still deciding, lol... Edited
  9. Well now, I knew that, and they are $$$ for nice ones. Fortunately I was brought up on mono/stereo. Thanks Mike, lol... guess it was a twilight zone signpost up ahead...

  18. Welcome to the forum! Looks just fine and not the typical look of an AVR. Nice and modern enough for now. May just be a keeper for you. Congrats on this and your Fortes... Edit: BTW, guess you have found the pure direct on this unit. Hope so as, it mostly bypasses the DSP parts of the unit for 2 channel stereo play. Give us a review if you want to sometime. The DAC in Marantz can be nice and sweet at times.
  19. Yes man! A lot of folk believe it is the UHF band that does all the work on the body, when it is the low frequencies as well as. Have posted on the forum about heart health studies indication a lowering of BP in music therapy and other studies. No wonder is the subliming effect heard in dentist offices, etc. It works best with music you like or prefer. A more recent study post here maybe 3 or more years ago. showing dementia/Alzheimer patients derived benefit from listening to music from their era, recognizing(cognition) if for just a brief interlude. Is it any wonder then music mentioned in texts like the bible and other. Seems us music listeners intuitively made the aural connection early on? Yes I say! Feel the music and the music is in me. Enjoy those ForteIII there man!🎶
