  1. Hey everyone, I was just wondering if you knew of any good stores online that sell A/V furniture at decent prices. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. just another thing... check out http://www.audioreview.com They have reviews on almost all the products. It is just a nice place to get a feel for a certain product (pluses/minuses). Also the Denon 3801 can be had for 675.00 plus shipping. Check out http://www.pricescan.com for prices. good luck!!
  3. oh yeah... check out the denon avr-3801 receiver. it complements the klipsch reference line nicely and supports 7.1 for future standards
  4. check out http://www.sounddistributors.com/ they have good deals. if you have 2000 you could go for the rf-3, rc-3, rs-3, and ksw-15 for 1649.00 plus shipping if that is in your budget go for it. they are amazing speakers
  5. i just want to say that cables can make a difference. in the case of the promedias it may not but the braided cat5 cables reduce the static/white noise heard on speakers. it has to do with interference patters, magnetic fields and how they cancel each other out to make really nice cables. also, you can get insulation material that also aids in cutting down on interference. just my two cents though
  6. Windstorm is right. mute all your controls including the main system sound one. then turn it the speakers all the way up. any hiss? if there is then that is interference from the power line and other sources near by. if you don't hear a hiss unmute the main system sound, and then from there start enabling controls until you find the source. good luck
  7. I am about to complete my DIY Cat5 cables and connect them to my RF-3's. I was just wondering what the best (reasonably priced) connectors I could put on the ends?
  8. check the hercules game theater xp. i haven't had a chance to test it myself but it has a plethora of outputs. very nice break out box (or as they like to call it 'rack').
  9. oh yeah, and as far as connecting the tv output to the promedia all you need is one output and then you just need to get some y-adapters from radio shack or best buy as well as some adapters to go from the component plug to female 3.3mm stereo.
  10. it is vega. it looks like a w but it is just supposed to be the v's shadow. also the 36xbr version of the vega is over 1500 dollars so it probably out of range but the picture quality is amazing. i've got the 20" and there is no way i can go back to a regualr tv now
  11. speaking of of the linksys 4 port cable/dsl router/hub thing what do you think of it? had any problems with it yet?
  12. i have the same problem and i think it is the preamp. i've since ordered a replacement and am awaiting delivery. i think it is a problem with the knobs and resonance frequency and it is vibrating it or something to that extent because it only happens when the volumes is louder. just my two cents
