  1. Good for you Joe (kids will change a man). I love this forum and a couple others to discuss gear, but only so I can listen to the music. If it sounds good and you enjoy listening, who cares what the graph says!!!
  2. Boy they seem pretty old...I don't think they'd be worth more than $350. I'll take em for you!!
  3. Members of this forum own all kinds of Klipsch speakers in all price ranges built over many years. Like many others I have had Heritage for many years. What I don't get is negativity on other Klipsch products/owners. Many of us have multiple sets of Klipsh speakers. I got to hear Damons Palladiums because I was buying one of his Cornwalls. I thought the Palladiums sounded spectacular, but I bought a used Cornwall. I'm very happy for Damon and was impressed, but that doesn't mean I have to buy them myself or thay I enjoy my speakers any less. We each have our own budgets, priorities, listening habits etc. The Palladium doesn't hurt the Klipsch legacy, it adds to it. Certainly much more so than some of the BB products. You may have different taste but that's part the fun. Enjoy it.
  4. 'Southern' and I had the good fortune to have a visit to Damons house scheduled, before he knew he was getting the Palladiums on Friday. We went to check out his Corwalls but instead got to see and hear the Palladiums. What a treat. We didn't play tons of music but a few of the songs, I have listened to for many years. I heard things in those songs that I never heard before.....you didn't just hear the symbols, you heard the stick hit or bounce on the symbol. I'm sure it will sound even better when the calibration & placement tweaks are done. Damon...nice theater, great speakers, great family. Congratulations to Klipsch and to Damon.........(come to think of it me too, I got a new vertical Cornwall for a center channel!) [Y]
  5. I bought a Emotiva LPA-1 (B stock with 5 year warrennty) 7 channnel for $400....Great sound for the $. I went entry level to 'try them, but plan on upgrading with another Emotiva. Check their forum, they don't have many unhappy customers.
  6. You might want to put a tarp over it..drywall/plaster will make a big mess!!
  7. If I had $1500 for speakers....Khorns...or 3 pairs cornwalls or. ... I'd buy myself a llama. used of course
  8. By the way, I am also an Emotiva fan on the pre-order list and have an LPA-1. Much like Klipsch, Emotiva compares favorably to products priced much higher. good luck
  9. I am a fan of B&W speakers to listen to, but wouldn't buy them. I've never compared your models to each other but I did compare some B&W 700 series to Klipsch 83's. I though that the price vs performance was a no brainer for Klipsch. B&W is like BMW, you're paying for shipping and prestige. Ya they sound good, but not as good as the same $$ for Klipsch. IMHO
