Wow....that room is about the size of our master bedroom closet (10 x 14).

They couldn't sound much worse than those 2 different pairs of Altec Valencia's I had years ago.

I came across this and thought.....wow. Not sure what else to say just yet. No affiliation but for $40, it's almost worth it for the cabinets...."if" they are true LS cabinets.

I'd like to see someone else run one of those amps through testing besides Amir. Not everyone out there thinks he's the "cats meow" for testing stuff.

I have one Klipsch Epic CF3 woofer that is blown. I am looking for a replacment K1030 10W and can't find it in the internet. Do you have any idea where to buy. Thanks in advance.
Pretty much non-existent anymore unless someone parts out a set....but that's rare, too. I have a set of CF-3 v1's and have 2 spare HF drivers and a woofer just in case.

My only concern is the lack of replacement parts for these models if I were you I'd pick up some extra woofers just in case maybe an extra tweeter driver to have on hand we've had at least a couple people here with bad woofers in their 83's and as far as I know they are ShitOutOfLuck.
I'm the same way with my main two pairs of speakers and especially the CF-3 v1's. I'm fortunate enough to have two of the HF drivers and a new in box woofer, although I believe it's a v3 woofer. Same goes with my ads L1230's; replacement drivers are rare and I'm glad I had the mids and tweeters rebuilt by the gentleman who used to be at ads and had all the remaining inventory of repair parts. But, those are about gone, too, over the last 30+ years. I need to send the four 8" woofers to him for cone/voice coil replacement as I have 2 that rattle. Ahhh....the fun of older speakers.

ok, didnt ask about forte to 5000 difference) got any input on the 500 vs 5000 woofer , weight or specs differences??
Sometimes you just get more info than you need when someone else's reply gets read and they run with it.

The mid horn was much improved in later models
Definitely in the IV. There wasn't much improvement in the III's horn over the II, really. Unless the Heresy III horn had something magic.

My point exactly.
All the other stuff Robby the Robot brought up is inconsequential.
I agree completely. It's just a rambling thing. Adds to the count and that's about it.

But weren't actually "used" in a Cornwall till over 2 decades later. And there was that CW III with the Heresy mid horns.

Could order some of these and have them look about the same. Pretty much all they are using are generic terminals. Have you called Klipsch parts already? (not that theirs are going to sound any better there)

I've had 2 pairs of those in the past; the front ported 846B's and the "fancy cabinet" Milano's. I really never liked either pair and they were easy to sell to the followers. 2 pairs of Dynaco A25's "stacked" sounded better than the restricted range of them. But they look pretty cool.

Not a bad deal, I guess, if one is so inclined. No affiliation or interest.

It's the disrespect towards someone who was definitely qualified that rubbed me wrong and, for that, I will not apologize. I guess it was an acceptable comment by him based on how he is being defended. Interesting.... I just don't agree.

I stand by my comment. If you're good with what was said, that's all you, boo-boo. It was disrespectful on every level.

no , that would not be something Crites would be qualified to do , what you're looking at is a Klipsch Factory Network Crossover -
That's one of the most idiotic things I've heard anyone say in a long time. If ANYONE would be qualified enough, it would have been him.
Stop making stupid a$$ comments to add to your post count. My grandfather used to tell me, "it's better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I think according to the site rules I have to post five times in order to be able to use the messaging function of the forum. This is to avoid spam apparently but now I have to spam just to unlock the feature I need, so apologies in advance.
Maybe just post your email out here for him to contact you somehow.

A K-501 horn? Isn't that a Belle mid horn? I know the K-500 is but maybe the 501 never was in the Belle?
"La Scala-ish" speakers for sale in Benton, AR - $40 - A must see.

Someone bought them that night. Hell, I was going to make the drive and get them for the $40. I've wasted far more money on things through the years plus who knows....could have repurposed the cabinets if they were original. If not, those tops were going to come off. I could have always walked away, too.
