  1. So should those American citizens of Asian descent have armed themselves and used their rifles and pistol to take on the US Armed Forces in order to avoid being rounded up and put in detainee camps? Wouldn't that have been very disloyal, fighting against your own country's forces in a time of war, in effect opening up a home front? Their chances of success would have been pretty slim, too. Those citizens of Asian descent were loyal to America and showed it by obeying the laws of the land, cruel and unnecessary as they were in that case. Islander, By your own definition above, the Jews in Nazi Germany must have been some fine citizen for letting their contries government execute them!! No logic at all... Roger
  2. More Guns=More Deaths?? Another uneducated statement!! The second ammendmant is to protect the citizen against an oppressive government!! I guess less guns depends on who has those guns now doesn't it?? Go ask the Sadam era "marsh arabs", and Shites, Hitler era Jews, Catholics, Gays, or countless other minorities in their own countries arround the world. Think it can't happen here?? Tell it to the Asians put in detainee camps in WWII. Roger All the guns in your closet will be of no use if you get mistakenly swept up as a security threat and whisked off to be tortured with no right of habeas corpus. Imagine that - -you may never see your family again, and you will have absolutely no due process - no day in court. Sound good to you? Your guns and your Second Ammendment are no defense against illegal search and seizure, are they? Remind me again how your guns protect your privacy? See, why you little boys were distracted playing cops and robbers with your guns, that Constitution you are always yakking about got gutted like a stinkfish. Wake up and smell the coffee. Maybe if the NRA actually had an intelligence in the movement, they might have applied it to preventing that. I am abivalent about guns because they simply don't mean anything of importance anymore. Wrong focus - big waste of time. Since I am not paranoid, and I don't live in quaking fear of every moving leaf, I don't need a gun for self defence. Sorry, but you don't get to bring guns into a courtroom to defend yourself - - that happens with LAWS and the Constitution - - you know, that document that used to protect your right to due process. The gun issue would be about 99 on my list of 100 important things to worry about. You live in some fantasy that you are going to fend off the Feds when they come for you? Ever hear of Ruby Ridge? Waco? The SLA? Well, good luck with all that. But while you are fantasizing with your big blue barrel in your hand, the real game is being stolen out from under your very noses. You think you are defending liberty? That's a laugh - you let that slip out of your hand already. While you are sitting there polishing your stock, people with MINDS are trying hard to win back the liberty that has been tragically lost - probably forever. And all the guns in the country aren't going to get that back. mdeneen, Sounds great, but: A) What exactly are you doing to try to return or liberties to where they were besides sitting arround with a bong?? How come you blow smoke up my A-S, with questions, but don't try to address any of the facts I have stated. C) I don't know what you do for a living, but if they remove guns from public possesion (just like they did in Nazi Germany by the way), who will have anything to say about anything if those in power decide to do totally away with the constitution, or declair marshal law. As you have already stated, they have already trampled all over the constitution in the past. (It shouldn't be much of a stretch for your imagination if you are going to quote Ruby Ridge, or Waco to me. Roger
  3. You know marijuana has a tendancy to make you paraniod, you should lay off it a bit. That doesn't even make sense. I am not the one who needs a gun to face life. It looks good though since you worked 'marijuana' into it, and yet it shows you didn't understand the post. No, you don't need a gun to deal with life, only a joint mon!!! Roger

Those citizens of Asian descent were loyal to America and showed it by obeying the laws of the land, cruel and unnecessary as they were in that case. I would not of had a problem if Asian Americans had tried to defend themselves against the government as their constitutional rights were violated by a government overstepping it's bondries and that is exactly what the second amendment was written for, but that was not the point I made, nor was I trying to make, so you go reread it and try to think real hard about what I was really trying to say, because if youe cerebellum isn't large enough to grasp it, then I won't waste the time trying to bring you up to speed. Roger
  5. I will type sllloooowwwwly so you can try to follow through the fog. There are less people driving horse and buggies arround than 100 years ago, but that doesn't mean that it is linked to loss of freedoms. There is absolutely no conection that can followed with an ioda of common sence that connects those two facts. I am not arguing the two facts, only saying that your reasoning in trying to corolate them is completely screwed up!! Roger
  6. You know marijuana has a tendancy to make you paraniod, you should lay off it a bit. Dude, that is the first post I have been able to take lightly here!! Thanks, I loved it!! Roger
  7. No Colledge huh??? There is no such thing as an indisputable fact!! Loosing liberty has nothing to do with gun numbers, it has to do with false media coverage and the government seizing more control by using an excuse of terrorism!! We have 13 million Ilegals in this country, yet a US citizen now needs a passport to enter and leave Canada and Mexico, but it is for our safety?? Ya right!! If 13 million Illegals can cross the border, then how hard is it for an actual terrorist cell or cells if they really want to. Unthinkable idiots in this country have bought into a bunch of false BS to take away our rights, and this is only more of a reason to take a healthy second look at the reason for the second amendment!! You have become "abiivelent"? You mean ambivilent?? about guns.... What a crock of crap!! If you are ambivelent then why do you keep posting more uninformed giberish?? Roger

  9. Once again "Guns have made nothing better"?? THe mainland USA was not attacked in WWII because of the projected cassualties inflicted by private gun ownership!! You may not of been hear, or had the freedom to print such uninformed nonscence if it were not for that piece of history. Roger
  10. This is not "Retard 101" The second ammendmant was written for the people to be able to protect themselves from an oppressive government, my right were given in 1776, and are not up for your debate!! I am not in fear of any man, you, or anyone else, armed or not. I love to shoot, I love to hunt, I find sitting at a reloading bench relaxing, and I have no weapons with me. I am afraid of our current government and the right of abundant, non cerebelar idiots that have the right to vote!! AS FOR GUNS NEVER HAVING A POSSITIVE EFFECT!! "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it" You might be speaking Japaneese right now if it were for the number of private gun ownership during the second world war, or didn't you ever here that story?? Roger
  11. Michael, I really like the forum members post that always reads at the bottom something like "there comes a time in all our lives when we feel the need to roll up our sleeves and slit some throats"[] Rog
  12. It's fine for you to express your opinions but that calls for an apology. You have no idea of who you're talking to. sputnik, The only thing your last statement calls for is for you to put the crack pipe down. I made a comparrison. I am not responsible if it hit a nerve for you that I could and did not know about, I therefore submit that I owe no such appologee!! If you want to educate me on what you are talking about, then fine, but don't tell me what I owe for anything that was unnintentional!! Roger
  13. You can see something like this coming: You are on a long bus ride, and its 2 am. You are strapped with your trusty .44 magnum - the most powerful handgun in the world. In the seat just ahead of you, you see a man raise up with a hunting knife in hand ready to thrust it into the man next to him. With a second to react, you draw your "44" and blow the knife wielders head off. Afterwords, when everyone has wiped the blood and brains off their faces, we discover the man you shot was simply defending himself from the other man's knife which was burried in his stomach, but which you couldn't see because it was out of your view. Now what Harry? mdeneen, You are making up your own case scenario to fit your own argument!! That is not what happened here, two of the people on the bus had a hammer and crow bar!! If you can't intelligently defend your possition, then don't!! Any, and all of us could create a B-LL SH-T scenario to have what ever outcome we wanted!! Roger
  14. Exactly!! You don't here about it, the press is biased! You keep hearing about "Automatic Weapons", seeing video of "Automatic weapons", and hearing about "Banning Asault weapons" First; Automatic weapons are machine guns and sub machine guns that require a class 3 liscense, an FBI background check, and are punishable bt 20 years for having in your possesion if not legally possesed, yet I still hear and see automatic weapons on TV. The only crime I can think of that automatic weapons were used for was the bank shootout. Automatic weapons are used in such a small percentage of crimes as to be less than 1/100th percent of violent crimes commited. Yet we still see video of machine guns on TV. Secondly; So called "Assault Weapons" are "Self Loaders" or incorrectly refered to as "Semi- Auto" with the abillity to accept magazines that may hold over 30 rounds. So called "Assault Weapons" are used in less than 1 half of 1 percent of violent crimes, yet hand guns are used in 85% of all violent crimes, so do you see 170 handgun crimes reported on TV for every single so called "Assault rifle" crime?? Why the inconsistency?? It is sensationalism!! mdeneen, To answer your question, there are many, many cases of armed citizens preventing roberies and death, but the main media does not cover it!! Get yourself a copy of "the American Rifleman", they have a section tittled "the Armed Citizen" in which they publish at least a dozen stories every month about armed citizens protecting their own lives or the lives of others against an armed attacker in this country. These stories usually quote local newspaper sources that they were taken from. Why the inconsistency in reporting of citizens protecting others from the national news media??? You tell me!!! I did a 16 page paper on the inconsistencies of reporting done by the national news media back in colledge. The highest year for gun death in the USA ever, was 1992. In 1992 the USA had 43,000 gun related deaths. This number reflects all deaths, including hunting accidents, suicides, home accidents, and violent crimes. 60% of these involved violent crime, including such things as catching the spouse cheating, and divorce resolutions. Now 43,000 sounds loike a huge number, but that is due in part for john Q publicks lack of understading in regaurds to large number ratios and what a small segment of actual society this involves to to unproportional reporting methods. In that same year of 1992, we had 44,000 alcohol related trafic fatalities, this number does not include the number of alcohol related deaths due to sclerosis of the liver, ascites, or the gun suicides or other forms of sicides that took their own life while intoxicated. In 1992, the American Lung Association reported 110,000 deat from "SECOND HAND SMOKE"!!!!. Deaths are deaths, and what is killing people is what is killing people, so why the discrepancy on what we hear reported??? You tell me!! Roger
  15. Fenderbender, Refering to other threads on here, some may need very small tweezers anyway, without remotely having anything to do with our feathered friends!! Roger
  16. Sputnik, Did you read the same article I did??? Everyone ran off the bus and the guy was still hacking away. Dead or not, an armed individual could have saved the rest of society moneys to prosecute, not to mention the guy getting away even if only for a short while. Now I will also ask you, What if it were your kid??? Dead corpse or not?? What would have happened to flight 93 with a full passenger roster of individuals such as yourself??? Roger
  17. Yeah right, couldn't happen in the US. Our deranged types usually opt for assault rifles. Sputnik, Exactly why we in the USA need our second amendment!! Taking Canadas guns away did not stop this guy now did it????? Making guns hard to get or illegal only hurts the good citizen. You can't legally own a machine gun without a class 3 liscense, but that doesn't mean I haven't seen unregistered ones for sale, or hand gernades either if you want to chance 20 years prison time for it. The thing is that the people who go arround killing people like this don't care about a gun violation law or it's consequences. People kill people, not guns. Roger
  18. OB, "Macho chest pounding"???!! It is not macho chest pounding!!! The statement was made "I am lucky she let me"!!! She let me??? Does she allow you to potty by yourself as well?? Are the speakers putting you in a finacial hardship, taking away from your kids colledge fund, or a bad influence in some form or fashion?? I would hope the answer is NO!! We are talking about a spouse that puts her own asthetic desires above something that actually brings pleasure to her mate here!! Have any of the males here (as I can't call the subservients MEN)... Have any of you ever told your wife she had to get rid of something or stop doing something that truely should not affect your marriage, was not a finacial strain, etc., just because you did not like it?? A woman who would put her asthetic wants over something you have enjoyed for 22 year (AKA your feelings) does not deserve a husband!! My wife can do anything she wants as long as it doesn't impact the marriage, the kids, or our finances in a dramatic fashion, but by god, I am the one who has the final say, and that is not chest beating!! OB, I will let you in on a secret, there are 40% more females than males in the United States, they are more replacable than we are. I take it personal and hold every male (that lets his wife make the descissions or says that is OK for another male to let his wife make all the descissions) accountable for how screwed up this country has become in the last 35 years. I hold people like this responsible for gun grabber legislation. I hold people like this responsible for "hate crime" laws, and all the other screwed up legislation and laws allowed to happen because of feel good law making without any real thought about implications!! "I am lucky because she let me"............ JC!!! I wouldn't live in your shoes for a Billion Dollars!!!! Where would any of us be if George had said "Your right Martha! I could get killed if I went out and fought the british, and then where would you and the kids be?" Roger ...and here I thought they were being sarcastic with just a touch of satire... Bill Bill, I really do like your Herman avitar!! Is that a pair of Grado cans he has on?? I prefer Stax myself, but still Grados are nice! Roger
  19. Bill, Those are TSCM Pro Cornerhorns. I have klipschorns with a LaScala center and two Velodyne HGS-18IIs in the house for my surround system. I just made a deal to get four more K-260 horns to try to build an all TSCM surround system. By the way, the K-260 midrange horn has a manifold that attaches 4 K-55 drivers to each horn. I am not building this system by compromising for WAF. Roger quite possibly even sicker than me. note the empty Red Bull can at the base of the stack, I wonder how many of those were sacrificed bringing the MSM cabs home? Michael, Comming from you, I take that as only the highest of complements. I only wish that a pair of beutifully matched pair of Electro Voice Patrician 800s was in the budget right now. There is a beutiful pair on ebay right now. They were up to $10,000 last night with 3 days 21 hours left on the auction. Not as beutiful as the last set I posted, but still should go well over $20,000!! Finally, I must say that I very much enjoyed the conversation on the phone the other night. If I come across a big find on those tweets, I'll let you know, and please keep an eye out for the manifolds I need. I would prefer the metal ones if possible, but will considder myself lucky with either. Thanks to BEC with trying to help as well. Thanks.... Rog!
  20. aaron here, Is the entertainment system bought and delivered?? Please let us know. My mother has a home entertainment center that you can change the size of, to allow for different width telivisions, so if you change TV later, you can still use the same entertainment center, and it still looks like a one piece afair. It is solid oak, and she has an RC-7 center channel. The RC-7 is about as tall as she can go, but she could go alot wider on the center as well. If you have not paid for the entertainment center, I could try to post a picture later so you could show youe wife. Roger

  23. Aaron here, I am not saying that I would not be willing to compromise with the wife, she wants surround sound and it sounds as if you do too. 16' by 18' is plenty big enough for 4 Forte' speakers, an Acadamy center channel, and the sub woofer of your choice, and as a good husband, I would be willing to send all of those speakers to 928GTS on this forum, and have all the speakers reveneered and stained to perfectly match the wooden entertainment center just to keep her happy!![] Roger
  24. Aaaron here, My guess is that at 22 years you have had the speakers longer than your wife?? The bible says the man is the spiratual head of the household. God gave you a pair for a reason!! Why don't we try and use them for a change ehh? This is exactly how California got into the political eyesore that it is. I have been married for 19 years, and if someone is going to lay the law down, it is going to be me, period!! JMO... Roger
  25. Mike, Thanks, I know it is 4 years old. I also read he busted up the bass bin. I am hoping that he still has kept some of the parts arround as I need some. I checked his system profile, and I believe he just posted Saturday. Thanks.... Roger
